IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. Meet Steve! - Steve is about 5 months old and weighs 40 lbs. We guess Steve is a Pitbull/Terrier Mix (Just a Guess as we have no idea on mom or dad). Steve is happy boy who loves to play with the German Shepherd in his foster home. Steve will need another young and playful dog in his forever home. He is amazing with other dogs and very sweet. He is a smart boy with a real excitement for learning. Steve already knows sit, lay down, shake, off, and back. He enjoys running and sniffing around the backyard and is also a big fan of squeaky toys. His favorite game is fetch. Steve is in a foster home with cats and does well with them. Steve follows his foster mom everywhere and is an expert at snuggling. Steve is doing great on his house and crate training. If you are looking for a happy go lucky addition to your family, Steve is your pup. Because he is a puppy, he will require an adopter who is home a good portion of the day to continue his/her training—no exceptions. Steve is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped and will need to be neutered at the age of 6 months. The Adoption Fee for this puppy $400.00. ***Please note, this pup's immune system will not be fully functioning until about 16 weeks of age and therefore, s/he is not suited for Apartment/Condo living or Town homes without a private fenced yard and will not be able to go to public places where s/he could possibly be exposed to the germs of unvaccinated dogs, such as PetSmart/PetCo and dog parks until s/he is 16 weeks old*** ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CKRescue*** The adoption fee for this dog is $400, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. This fee DOES NOT INCLUDE spay/neuter if the pup is not already spayed/neutered. If the animal you are adopting is not already spayed/neutered, you will be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered. A $100.00 fee will be returned to the adopter once the animal has been sterilized. We will provide information on this process during the approval process. ***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs and/or all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So, adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many! ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. **Please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**

Story
Current Location: Parsonsburg, MD Meet Black Beauty: A Stunning Great Dane Ready for the Right Match At 95 pounds and 2 years old, this stunning Great Dane is exactly what his name promises: absolutely beautiful. With his sleek black coat and commanding presence, Black Beauty is a head turner who embodies everything magnificent about this gentle giant breed. Black Beauty has a rambunctious play style that's full of energy and enthusiasm. He needs other dogs who are able to read his cues and interact well with his spirited approach to play. The good news? He's lived successfully with several other dogs, kids, and even cats, showing that with the right companions and environment, he can thrive in a multi pet household. This active boy would be best in an environment where he has space to run and play. He needs regular exercise to burn off his energy and keep him happy and balanced. Black Beauty also loves puzzles and things that use his brain power, showing that he's not just physically active but mentally engaged as well. A Great Dane who can think and problem solve is a wonderful companion for someone who enjoys interactive training and enrichment activities. Due to his size and exuberance, Black Beauty would likely do best in a home without small children. His enthusiasm and large frame could be overwhelming for little ones, even though his intentions are purely loving. Black Beauty is waiting for someone who knows and loves the Great Dane breed, someone who understands their unique needs and incredible hearts. He needs a companion and guide who can provide him with structure, exercise, mental stimulation, and the love he deserves. If you're experienced with large breeds and ready for a stunning, intelligent boy who will fill your life with loyalty and companionship, Black Beauty is ready to meet you.

Story
This gorgeous 2-year-old male Great Dane is a 110-pound blue beauty with an even bigger heart. Finn’s been through a lot—after losing his beloved mom to cancer, he’s now searching for a new forever home he deserves. Despite the change in his world, he’s an absolute gentleman. He’s fully house trained, loves car rides, and is happiest lounging on the couch with his humans (yes, he believes he’s the perfect lap dog). One of his favorite pastimes? Watching TV and keeping an eye on everything going on around him. He’s a social guy, too! He’s dog-friendly with dogs of all sizes and enjoys seeing and spending time with his doggie friends. If you’re looking for a loyal, calm, affectionate companion who just wants love, comfort, and a soft place to land, Finn might be your perfect match. He’s ready to give his whole heart to a forever family. 💙

Story
Winston was rescued as a puppy living life in a crate. He was brought home to relatives who are both wheelchair-bound. This puppy grew into a Great Dane, lol! Winston is currently more than his adult owners can physically keep up with. He is trained to an electronic collar so he can run around his country yard and play with the other dog from the house. He is good with kids and loves to sit on the couch like a human, with his front paws resting on the ground. He is a big happy gentle giant looking for a home that can help him expend his energy better. He is loves his toys and would especially love a person to play with him and a lap that he can sit on, lol! If you’re looking for a big gentle giant, please contact irondawgs13@gmail.com for adoption application.
