Story
Introducing Miss Remy! Remy is just a chill Great Dane mix who wants food and a good, safe space for snuggles. Despite her large size, she's gentle and well-behaved, making her a delight to be around. Remy walks well on the leash and already knows some basic commands, showcasing her intelligence and eagerness to please. She's a lover of treats and will happily show off her tricks in exchange for a tasty snack. Girl after my own heart! Remy came into the shelter with another dog, demonstrating her sociable nature and compatibility with other pets (We do ask that if your home has another dog that they meet prior to adoption to make sure it's a good fit) Remy is going to thrive in a home where she receives plenty of love, attention, and opportunities for exercise and play. Her ideal family would be patient and understanding as she settles in, willing to provide her with the love, care, and companionship she deserves. With her friendly demeanor and laid-back personality, Remy is sure to become a beloved member of any family lucky enough to adopt her. So, test your luck and come on down to swoop up this amazing pup for your own family! The dog adoption fee is $90. They come spayed/neutered, microchipped, first set of vaccines including DHPP (parvo combo), Bordatella (kennel cough), and Strongid (wormer). Our website updates every hour, but some animals may be adopted faster than we can get them updated online. If you'd like to check on the status of an animal, please call us at 360-352-2510. Story
Courtesay post for Rockys Great Dane Rescue   My name is Lola and let me tell you, I have had a rough go at life. I am looking for a new home that has adults only, no young children. I do not like other dogs either; my previous foster home said I am okay around cats.   I was pulled from a high-kill shelter and adopted, but SURPRISE, I was pregnant, and no-one knew it. The shelter told the rescue I was spayed, but apparently not! I had three beautiful puppies and it really made me sad to see them all leave.   I had a wonderful home and family waiting for me in Washington State, which is where I am now. However, I am not the right fit for this family because I do not like their kids, and I have not been nice to other dogs. I belong in a home where there are no children or dogs, and not a lot of visitors.   Now, all the good stuff about me… I love long walks and I am leash-trained. I love laying on the couch watching movies next to my person, sunbathing in the yard, carrying around my favorite stuffed animal and car rides! I know how to Sit, Stay, Drop it, and Go to Bed. I am house-broken and do not make any messes or have accidents in the house.   The shelter said that I am 6 years old, but the Rescue thinks I am about 4.5 years old and I weigh about 100 pounds.   I know the right home is out there for me. Please someone step up that can help this sweet baby.   Adoption link for LaRue https://form.jotform.com/51994996709176 You can contact us directly at info@dogdiggityrescue.com, or fill out and application at  https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-ls-dog-diggity/  L & S Dog Diggity Rescue is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. All of our pets are located here, in San Antonio, and we partner with  rescues to provide transportation for our pets to their new homes. Our adoption fee includes vet care (vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchipping, etc), as well as transportation and health certificate. Story
Aurora is absolutely darling!!! She is very affectionate and friendly! Aurora LOVES belly rubs and loves to be outside and sunbathe! She has been in a foster home since the beginning of May and is doing wonderfully. She lives with another greyhound and a smaller dog and does really well with both. Her foster mom says she loves to cuddle and if you sit on the floor with her, she will rest her head on you somehow. Aurora loves balls, not to fetch but to squeak! She has the cutest stretch, and yawns and makes a funny sound when she does. She is so sweet and wants to please. Her foster mom has taught her to sit and is work on "paw". Aurora is eager to please and loves playing with toys. She walks well on leash (most of the time - on occasion she can be quite strong) and loves her walks. Aurora does have a high prey drive when she sees something move outside, so she needs someone who can continue her training (she works well with redirection). There are two other dogs in her foster home and they like to play fight - Aurora doesn't get involved when they do, but if she does she likes to slap with her paws and since she is so strong she could hurt a small dog, but if you tell her to stop, she does! She has done well on her house-training too. She also eats well and is not protective of her food. Aurora is really good in the car and mostly sleeps. Her foster mom thinks she will do well with other dogs and/or children as she has poked and prodded and done all the things a greyhound often doesn't like and Aurora has not reacted at all! What a sweetie! Aurora may be ok as an only dog, but she does not like to be crated. Aurora will need a home without cats and with someone who can manage her strength. This is one special girl - such a cuddle bug - someone is missing out on this sweetheart! For questions and to meet super cutie Aurora, please email Moira at fastpaws1998@gmail.com.

Story
Welcome Reesaw to CCPAL Rescue. She is an 18-month-old Great Dane mix dog. She weighs in at 102 pounds. She is good with other dogs and came in with an older Great Dane named Planter. Reesaw does pull on leash but we will be working with that. She is moderately active and would be fine with a moderately active family. She is a good balance between active and couch potato. She is good with people and will bond deeply with her person. Great Danes are typically a little shy and they warm up and bond deeply to their family. She does fit this characteristic. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Someone who has owned an XL dog or a Great Dane would be preferable. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is 180. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions.
