Story
Meet Grille!  Grille recently traveled from Texas to find a new home in the PNW area. Grille is brand new to our rescue and is currently getting settled into a foster home to begin potty, crate, leash, and obedience training. During this period, we will also be learning more about Grille’s personality, so be sure to check back for more information! In the meantime, he will be spending his days romping, cuddling, getting lots of playtime, love, and going on new adventures with his foster family, all while growing into a healthy pup! We are currently taking applications for Grille, who will be able to go home with an adopter after his neuter surgery. Grille is currently located in a foster home in Spokane, WA, and can be transported to your area! (See information below in the “Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue” section).   What is Path of Hope Rescue’s Adoption Process? Our adoption process takes on average 7-10 days. Begin by completing the online application. EVERY application receives an email response from us (check your spam folder!). Your personal Matchmaker will contact you, help you find your perfect pup match, and guide you through the process. Meet your potential pup at the home of the foster family (the process may differ slightly for long distance adopters). Bring your potential pup home for a no commitment In Home Trial. In Home Trials are a minimum of (2) nights for a puppy and one week for an adult. Your Matchmaker will check in with you during this time. Sign the adoption paperwork and adopt your new family member! Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue Our adoption process sets us apart. We specialize in learning about you and your family to find just the right fit for you. Our Matchmakers are not only good at what they do; they will also guide you through the entire process.  Our Minimum Adoption Donation is $550 for puppies under a year and $450 for dogs a year and older. We are a WA state registered non-profit and rely heavily on adoption donations to cover the expenses associated with saving lives. Our dogs are spayed/neutered prior to adoption; microchipped with free lifetime registration; and up to date on DAPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccinations (when age appropriate) and deworming and heartworm treatment/prevention. Adopters can also earn a $100 training refund if they attend (6) hours of any in person training course.  Long Distance adopters (one hour or more from Spokane) may choose to travel to Spokane to pick up their dog or use our monthly transport option, Puppy Delivery Express, for an additional delivery donation of $250. Puppy Delivery Express currently delivers dogs throughout Washington and to parts of Montana, Idaho, and Oregon. About Path of Hope Rescue At Path of Hope Rescue, our goal is to make EVERY DOG. WANTED. Our two employees and army of volunteers focus on transporting pregnant dogs and puppies from Texas, the number one kill state in America. The dogs we rescue are in poor living conditions and on euthanasia lists in shelters that are inundated with unwanted animals. We want to give these dogs a chance and bring them to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive, loving homes. We are 100% foster based; our dogs are fostered in loving homes where they are house and crate trained and learn basic obedience and leash skills. Dogs experience socialization opportunities with people, places, and other animals, and they receive the attention required to become well-rounded, healthy, and affectionate dogs that they would not otherwise receive in a shelter environment. Our commitment does not end when the dog is adopted. Path of Hope offers post adoption owner support including information on making the dog’s transition to your home a smooth one; recommendations for Preferred Trainers; advice on pet behavior and wellness topics; Facebook litter groups to keep in touch with fellow adopters; and invitations to local rescue hosted events.  Please visit https://www.pathofhoperescue.com/ for more information about our organization and the adoption process. ##2657666##

Story
Meet Zilla 💖 Zilla is a 5-year-old Great Dane mix with a heart as big as her paws. She’s a total dog-lover and has adored every pup she’s met so far. When she’s not wrestling with her friends or soaking up the sun, you’ll find her cuddling close, playing with her toys, or handing out the best kisses. Zilla also shines during dog-based enrichment activities and loves using her brain as much as her body!

Story
Casper is 1 year old. He's Great dane, chocolate lab, and bordie collie. He's very energetic and loves walks. He does pretty good on a leash. Though, he is still learning and gets pretty excited which causes him to pull every now and then when you first start. He's very intelligent and a little antagonistic in a playful way. He's a little standoffish with new people. However, i feel more socializing will fix that. When he bonds with a person that person is his world and he gets a bit jealous of other animals and people getting affection from his person.

Story
Welcome Cheeto. He is a 8- month old Great Dane mix. He is 83 pounds right now and may be 100 pounds full grown. Cheeto is a great dog. He knows sit and shake a paw. He is decent on a leash. He loves treats and will sit when asked to with a treat. He loves the lady kennel workers. He is timid which is common in this breed but he is very friendly and affectionate. He would be great with someone that knows and understands this wonderful breed. He was found on the streets of Texas and was taken in by a good Samaritan. He can go with children. We like them to 8 or older. He would love to be a companion for the right family. He will love being a house dog and he is energetic but not for too much time and he settles down nicely. If you have a fenced back yard, he can get enough exercise exploring it. He could also go on walks. He does pull some but he really wants to do what you are asking so consistency with him will work wonders. He is currently neutered, vaccinated, healthy and ready for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Animal Profile: Joe is an 80-lb Dane mix who will be 7 in April. He was originally adopted in 2020, but this past fall we received a call from a local shelter after he was surrendered for euthanasia due to allergies. We immediately took him back into our rescue. After food allergy testing, a diet change, supplements, and a Cytopoint injection, Joe is doing great and his allergies are well managed. He’s feeling good and ready to find his forever home. Foster Update: Joe is a mellow, affectionate guy who’s happiest hanging out close to his person, whether that’s napping on the couch, lounging nearby, or cuddling during movie night. He has a very calm, easygoing presence in the house and fits right into a relaxed home environment. Joe may gravitate toward women at first, but he warms up to men easily and forms strong bonds once he feels secure. While he’s friendly with everyone, Joe definitely has a preferred human and thrives on that close connection. He gets along well with resident dogs and enjoys low-key play, especially chasing in the yard. Slow, thoughtful introductions to new dogs are important, but once settled, Joe coexists nicely and keeps things peaceful. Joe looks forward to his daily walks and knows the heel command. He can be nervous or alert when encountering other dogs, particularly in busy areas. With a handler who pays attention to his signals and proactively redirects, Joe remains calm (sometimes with a bit of vocalizing). Without that support, he may pull and bark. Because of this, Joe would do best in a quieter neighborhood or suburban/rural setting where there’s more space to pass other dogs comfortably. He knows sit and down, has good obedience skills, and is very food motivated which makes continued training rewarding and fun. Joe is crate trained, house trained, and has excellent indoor manners. At bedtime, Joe politely waits to be invited onto the bed… but once invited, he’s a certified bed hog He does well with teens, loves to cuddle, and would be a wonderful match for someone looking for a loyal, affectionate companion with a laid-back lifestyle and a big heart. Joe’s ideal home: • Calm, attentive humans • A less urban environment • Slow, respectful dog introductions • Someone who wants a true couch companion and devoted best friend Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $500 which includes spay/neuter, all core vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a federal 501c3 organization.  Apply online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application January 23, 2026, 8:07 pm

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Briscoe! Briscoe is a 2.5-year-old, 70 lb Great Dane who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter in CA. From the moment she arrived, it was clear she is one of the happiest dogs you’ll ever meet! When Briscoe first came into our care, she was very underweight, but with proper nutrition and care she’s been steadily gaining weight and building strength—and she’s doing great! She’s a stunning harlequin Great Dane with beautiful gray, black, and white markings, big floppy ears, and one blue eye paired with one golden-brown eye that makes her truly unforgettable. Briscoe is goofy, playful, bouncy, and full of life! She has a good amount of spunky energy and is a strong girl, so she’ll need an adopter who is comfortable handling a large, powerful dog and committed to daily walks, continued muscle building, and ongoing socialization. She is crate trained and has been doing great as our lobby dog! Briscoe has done great with every dog she’s met—both big and small—and could thrive as an only dog or with a canine companion, as long as she continues to be well socialized. Briscoe is a happy, loving, larger-than-life pup who’s ready for a home that appreciates big dogs, big personalities, and plenty of fun. If you’re looking for a happy, goofy Great Dane to share your life with, Briscoe might be your girl! She is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. She has not been tested with cats or children. Her adoption fee is $450.
