Story
Location: Spanaway, WA DOB: 6/29/2021 Do you love a lazy couch potato who doubles as the world’s sweetest snuggle buddy? Meet Ember — a mellow girl with a heart of gold! This stunning lady is the full package: Crate trained Potty trained Great on leash Knows her basic commands Can snooze the day away while you're at work Fence-respecting professional Unfortunately, her recent adoption wasn’t the right fit due to the resident cat. While Ember was not aggressive toward her kitty roommate, she was a bit too enthusiastic when the cat wanted to run and play. Because of this, we’re recommending a home without cats or small dogs for Miss Ember. She does wonderfully with other dogs over 30 lbs and would thrive with a confident canine companion. Inside the house, Ember is a quiet little ninja — unless something needs your attention! She’ll give an alert bark for visitors, yard activity, or the occasional “scary” garbage truck or vacuum… but she’s easily corrected and eager to please. She can be strong-willed and will play leader if given the opportunity. Ember will do best with a confident owner who has experience with giant breeds and can provide the leadership and structure she needs to succeed. Ember would thrive in an adult-only home or a home with teenagers who are familiar and comfortable with giant breed Ember is pretty much perfect and SO ready to find her forever couch (…uh, home). Story
Location: Seattle, WA (needs adopter within 2-3 hours of Seattle) DOB: 1/25/2024 (estimate) Meet Gertie! This HIGHLY affectionate, high-energy girl wakes up ready to live her best life — especially after a good night’s sleep or a cozy afternoon nap. She thrives on companionship and loves being close to her people (leaning against you is her signature move). And she is an EXPERT cuddler! Once properly introduced, she’s friendly and warm, and she forms strong, devoted bonds with her family. She’s smart, eager to learn, and very food-motivated, which makes training fun and rewarding. With calm, confident leadership and consistency, she truly shines. Expect a loyal shadow who follows you from room to room and happily curls up for snuggles when playtime is over. • Potty trained • Gentle treat taker with excellent soft-mouth control • Comfortable with grooming and vet handling • Playful zoomie champion with adorable bursts of energy • Loves toys (rubber and plush) and will enthusiastically chase tennis or soccer balls • Surprisingly into massage gun spa sessions • Leash skills are improving — she’ll benefit from continued practice • Does best with structure, consistency, and positive reinforcement • Cats & kids unknown. Her ideal home has a good-sized yard with space to run, a canine companion to hang out with, and a family ready for an affectionate, food-motivated companion. https://forms.gle/G2dJx2NV4JXZcZ9F6

Story
Loving Home Needed 🏡 Looking to rehome a sweet girl who deserves the perfect family. She is almost 6 years old, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, and potty trained. She is AKC registered (papers not on hand). She would do best in a home where she can be both inside and outside and not strictly outdoors. She is great with kids and has been around babies, but because she doesnt always realize her size/strength, a home with children ages 4+ would be best. She isa wonderful companion who just needs the right environment and family to thrive.

Story
💙 MEET DUKE💙 Duke is an 8-year-old purebred Great Dane rescued from California who just had recent vet care and is need of a foster home or potential adoptive home. This handsome senior boy has so much love to give and truly adores his people. He is affectionate, loyal, and happiest when he's by your side soaking up attention. Duke previously lived as a breeding dog and was not socialized with other dogs, so he will need a home where he can be the only pet. He simply does not enjoy the company of other dogs and will thrive best as the center of your world. But he does do well with cats or other animals. He is fully potty trained and lets you know when he needs to go out as well. He has been recently neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and thoroughly vetted. Duke is in excellent health for his age and even had a recent dental completed. He needs a foster or adoptive home where he can relax and enjoy your company.

Story
Meet Hubcap!  Hubcap recently traveled from Texas to find a new home in the PNW area. Hubcap is brand new to our rescue and is currently getting settled into a foster home to begin potty, crate, leash, and obedience training. During this period, we will also be learning more about Hubcap’s personality, so be sure to check back for more information! In the meantime, he will be spending his days romping, cuddling, getting lots of playtime, love, and going on new adventures with his foster family, all while growing into a healthy pup! We are currently taking applications for Hubcap, who will be able to go home with an adopter after his neuter surgery. Hubcap is currently located in a foster home in Spokane, WA, and can be transported to your area! (See information below in the “Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue” section).   What is Path of Hope Rescue’s Adoption Process? Our adoption process takes on average 7-10 days. Begin by completing the online application. EVERY application receives an email response from us (check your spam folder!). Your personal Matchmaker will contact you, help you find your perfect pup match, and guide you through the process. Meet your potential pup at the home of the foster family (the process may differ slightly for long distance adopters). Bring your potential pup home for a no commitment In Home Trial. In Home Trials are a minimum of (2) nights for a puppy and one week for an adult. Your Matchmaker will check in with you during this time. Sign the adoption paperwork and adopt your new family member! Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue Our adoption process sets us apart. We specialize in learning about you and your family to find just the right fit for you. Our Matchmakers are not only good at what they do; they will also guide you through the entire process.  Our Minimum Adoption Donation is $550 for puppies under a year and $450 for dogs a year and older. We are a WA state registered non-profit and rely heavily on adoption donations to cover the expenses associated with saving lives. Our dogs are spayed/neutered prior to adoption; microchipped with free lifetime registration; and up to date on DAPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccinations (when age appropriate) and deworming and heartworm treatment/prevention. Adopters can also earn a $100 training refund if they attend (6) hours of any in person training course.  Long Distance adopters (one hour or more from Spokane) may choose to travel to Spokane to pick up their dog or use our monthly transport option, Puppy Delivery Express, for an additional delivery donation of $250. Puppy Delivery Express currently delivers dogs throughout Washington and to parts of Montana, Idaho, and Oregon. About Path of Hope Rescue At Path of Hope Rescue, our goal is to make EVERY DOG. WANTED. Our two employees and army of volunteers focus on transporting pregnant dogs and puppies from Texas, the number one kill state in America. The dogs we rescue are in poor living conditions and on euthanasia lists in shelters that are inundated with unwanted animals. We want to give these dogs a chance and bring them to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive, loving homes. We are 100% foster based; our dogs are fostered in loving homes where they are house and crate trained and learn basic obedience and leash skills. Dogs experience socialization opportunities with people, places, and other animals, and they receive the attention required to become well-rounded, healthy, and affectionate dogs that they would not otherwise receive in a shelter environment. Our commitment does not end when the dog is adopted. Path of Hope offers post adoption owner support including information on making the dog’s transition to your home a smooth one; recommendations for Preferred Trainers; advice on pet behavior and wellness topics; Facebook litter groups to keep in touch with fellow adopters; and invitations to local rescue hosted events.  Please visit https://www.pathofhoperescue.com/ for more information about our organization and the adoption process. ##2657665##
