Story
Welcome Cheeto. He is a 6 month old Great Dane mix. He is 67 pounds right now and may be 80 pounds full grown. Cheeto is a great dog. He loves treats and will sit when asked to with a treat. He loves the lady kennel workers. He is timid which is common in this breed but he is very friendly and affectionate. He would be great with someone that knows and understands this wonderful breed. He was found on the streets of Texas and was taken in by a good Samaritan. He can go with children. We like them to 8 or older. He would love to be a companion for the right family. He will love being a house dog and he is energetic but not for too much time and he settles down nicely. If you have a fenced back yard, he can get enough exercise exploring it. He could also go on walks. He does pull some but he really wants to do what you are asking so consistency with him will work wonders. He is currently neutered, vaccinated, healthy and ready for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
This cutie is Mr. Good Bar Candy Bar. He is currently 4 months old. We think they may be a Great Dane/ German Shepherd mix*, but with rescue it’s a guess! What matters most is that they are adorable and are one the MOST desperate in the entire US based on statistics for where this puppy is from. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize puppies. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from us, it saves their life as well as the life of another in its place. Watch Mr. Good Bar's playful personality here: https://youtu.be/uoTU2BUsXp8?si=X2dY6K-O8OTvgEPw Mr. Good Bar is playful, sweet, curious, and cuddly. She loves to play with his siblings and take lots of naps. Eat, sleep, play, repeat- such is puppy life! We pride ourselves in being able to give you good personality and behavioral information to help ensure this baby is the right fit for you. You are also welcome to do a Facetime call to meet your new baby before signing paperwork! Mr. Good Bar is still very young and will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. A puppy is discovering new things that shape their personalities with each passing day. Implementing routine, structure, setting boundaries, and proper socialization is key from the start. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy starting immediately when arriving at their new home, which will help with potty training, energy management, and the overall development of a well-rounded adult dog. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
If you’ve ever loved a big dog - a really big dog - you know the kind of presence they carry. Baloo is that dog. He is a companion that fills the room with his goofy charm and regal frame but it will he his silly, goofy side that will be what fills your heart. Take a look at his goofy goodness here then come back to read more- https://youtu.be/QoqhXxMkibI Baloo is as magnificent as they come -strong, handsome, and full of a quiet love. He is affectionate, playful, and loves to engage, but he is no lap dog. He understands his size and loves people who understand dogs his size. This boy needs structure, your confidence, and someone who can manage all 82 pounds of his enthusiasm when he’s excited. He has great basic leash skills and walks with purpose, and while it’s not common, he can still pull hard when he is eager to meet or greet. Because of that, Baloo is looking for a home with no small children and no physically limited handlers -not because he isn’t loving, but because he’s simply a whole lot of dog. He gets along well with other dogs who enjoy and can match his play style. He’s the “roughhousing in the yard” kind of guy -playful and physical, and so much fun to watch. When dogs are confident and enjoy that same type of play, he thrives. Baloo has made some wonderful dog friends who he plays beautifully with. You can see his big goofy grin and those paws in the air and know he is having a blast! The best part though is when he starts to get tired he will simply roll over mid-play and lay on the ground with his playmate to roll around in the grass. Baloo is eager to please, responsive to correction, and happiest when he has clear direction. He’s not suited for apartment living, no surprise right? This boy needs space, both physically and mentally. A home with a fenced yard and a confident, calm person will give Baloo the structure he needs to shine. Big heart, big presence- that’s Baloo. If you’re the kind of person who looks at a big dog and sees powerful potential and big fun, he is your perfect match! Ready to welcome Baloo home? Story
Meet Ghost Ghost is a loving, playful, and downright charming pup who brings a sweet mix of goofiness and affection everywhere he goes. His foster mom says he has this adorable habit of “cat-rubbing” on your legs—he’ll gently lean or wiggle against you just like a cat asking for love. It’s impossible not to smile when he does it. This boy is still very much a puppy at heart. He loves to play, plop himself right onto your feet, and even sit on his dog friends’ faces mid-playtime (they don’t seem to mind—he’s just being Ghost!). He soaks up attention, enjoys being close, and always finds a way to sneak in a cuddle. Ghost is amazing with other dogs and great with kids. He’s also been around horses and ducks and does wonderfully with them too! His gentle spirit really shines around all kinds of animals. He can be a little skittish with loud noises, but his reaction is just to duck his head and trot to his kennel for a sense of safety. With reassurance and consistency, he’ll continue growing more confident. Ghost is sweet, funny, social, and full of love—everything you could want in a companion. He’s ready to bring joy, laughter, and loyalty to a forever family of his very own. https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/NASD/Dog
