4-Year-Old Neutered Male Great Dane | Gentle Soul | Looking for His Safe Place When Othello first arrived, he was completely shut down—frozen in fear and unsure how to exist in a world that had never been kind to him. But little by little, he’s been learning that life can be good… that people can be gentle… and that love doesn’t have to hurt. Today, Othello is blossoming into the dog he was always meant to be. These days, he loves playing with his dog friends—something we aren’t sure he ever had the chance to do before. Watching him discover joy, play, and connection has been nothing short of incredible. He’s wonderful with other dogs and truly needs one in his new home—a calm, social, and ideally female companion who can show him the ropes and help him continue to grow in confidence. He finds comfort and courage in canine companionship. Othello also loves pets from the people he trusts and is very affectionate. He’s learning that hands can be kind, and that humans can bring warmth and safety instead of fear. And yes—treats are absolutely the way to his heart. With patience, kindness, and delicious snacks, Othello will happily let you in. His new family will need to move at his pace. He’ll require a minimum of three pre-adoption training sessions (possibly more—Othello will decide when he’s ready) so his new people can learn how to support him through the transition to a new environment. He’s come too far to be rushed, and we’re committed to setting him up for success. Othello is a big, beautiful reminder that resilience takes time… and that some of the most incredible dogs are the ones who had to fight hardest to trust again. Very energetic and playful! Loves to have fun. Pretty calm once he’s comfortable around you but gets really excited and jumps with new people. He’s not around dogs a lot but when he is he’s very playful. He’s also been good around kids just doesn’t always realizes how big he is. Isn’t aggressive at all just lots of energy! He doesn’t like leash walking. He is 3 years old and we would love a home that has a big yard and the time to give him proper training and allow him to get the exercise he needs.

Mando is a Half Great Dane Half Mastiff. He is a big goof ball who loves to run and play but still thinks he is a lap dog. recently he has been a little aggressive towards other in tacked males but not all. he is good with kids he just doesn't know his own size. He also for the most part leaves cats alone he may bark at them, but he has never attacked them. He has a very friendly personality and love to run and play tug of war. He will also nonstop try and bite water coming out of a hose. Mando has open access to the back yard but has been kennel trained as well. Mando's ideal home would be a home with access to a yard he can run in. he has never had another dog at home but gets along with dogs at the park. He has basic training like sit, stay, laydown and wait. but could probably use a little more training. He is up to date on his shots.
