Story
Hello my name is Nala! I’m a 10 year old Great Dane. Despite my age I still have a lot of energy! My favorite activities are chasing my ball around the park or just lounging around the house. I love playing with other big dogs, but due to my size I’m not a great play companion with small dogs, cats or children. I’m very well house trained, I never have any accidents or chew up anything. Unfortunately due to my dad’s work schedule and living situation I’m looking for my new forever family.

Story
💙 Looking for the Right Home for Apollo 💙 This is one of the hardest decisions our family has had to make, but we are looking to rehome our sweet boy, Apollo, so he can have the life and attention he truly deserves. Apollo is a 9-month-old European Great Dane (grey) with the biggest heart and an even bigger need for closeness. He is incredibly snuggly and wants to be part of everything you’re doing — personal space simply doesn’t exist in his world, and that’s part of his charm. About Apollo: • Male, not neutered • Current on all vaccinations, including rabies • About 90% house trained • Friendly with children • Wonderful with our cat — he absolutely loves him • Still needs continued socialization and confidence building * will eventually need his eyes fixed *

Story
Meet Maggie, A Wonder Woman Wearing a Catwoman Mask 🐶 Once a volunteer accidently dropped her leash and let her run away. Within minutes, Maggie returned on her own and gave the volunteer a big hug. She even brought a stick as a peace offering. It is amazing to see Maggie still has complete faith in humanity despite of surviving from Mass Dog Slaughterhouse. Maggie will love you whether you live in a little trailer or a big house. No matter what kind of mood you are in, Maggie can always make you smile. Can you be a special someone to give Maggie a home?

Story
Welcome Reesaw to CCPAL Rescue. She is an 18-month-old Great Dane mix dog. She weighs in at 102 pounds. She is good with other dogs and came in with an older Great Dane named Planter. Reesaw does pull on leash but we will be working with that. She is moderately active and would be fine with a moderately active family. She is a good balance between active and couch potato. She is good with people and will bond deeply with her person. Great Danes are typically a little shy and they warm up and bond deeply to their family. She does fit this characteristic. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Someone who has owned an XL dog or a Great Dane would be preferable. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is 180. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Animal Profile: Joe is an 80-lb Dane mix who will be 7 in April. He was originally adopted in 2020, but this past fall we received a call from a local shelter after he was surrendered for euthanasia due to allergies. We immediately took him back into our rescue. After food allergy testing, a diet change, supplements, and a Cytopoint injection, Joe is doing great and his allergies are well managed. He’s feeling good and ready to find his forever home. Foster Update: Joe is a mellow, affectionate guy who’s happiest hanging out close to his person, whether that’s napping on the couch, lounging nearby, or cuddling during movie night. He has a very calm, easygoing presence in the house and fits right into a relaxed home environment. Joe may gravitate toward women at first, but he warms up to men easily and forms strong bonds once he feels secure. While he’s friendly with everyone, Joe definitely has a preferred human and thrives on that close connection. He gets along well with resident dogs and enjoys low-key play, especially chasing in the yard. Slow, thoughtful introductions to new dogs are important, but once settled, Joe coexists nicely and keeps things peaceful. Joe looks forward to his daily walks and knows the heel command. He can be nervous or alert when encountering other dogs, particularly in busy areas. With a handler who pays attention to his signals and proactively redirects, Joe remains calm (sometimes with a bit of vocalizing). Without that support, he may pull and bark. Because of this, Joe would do best in a quieter neighborhood or suburban/rural setting where there’s more space to pass other dogs comfortably. He knows sit and down, has good obedience skills, and is very food motivated which makes continued training rewarding and fun. Joe is crate trained, house trained, and has excellent indoor manners. At bedtime, Joe politely waits to be invited onto the bed… but once invited, he’s a certified bed hog. He does well with teens, loves to cuddle, and would be a wonderful match for someone looking for a loyal, affectionate companion with a laid-back lifestyle and a big heart. Joe’s ideal home: • Calm, attentive humans • A less urban environment • Slow, respectful dog introductions • Someone who wants a true couch companion and devoted best friend Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $500 which includes spay/neuter, all core vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a federal 501c3 organization.  Apply online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application April 11, 2026, 10:03 pm

Story
Meet Toasty, an Anatolian Shepherd / St. Bernard mix turning 3 this April. I’ve had the privilege of raising him since he was just 8 weeks old, and he has been nothing but a loyal, loving, and unforgettable companion. Toasty is full of life and personality. He has grown up around kids of all ages—from toddlers to teens—and showers them with affection, laughter, and the occasional goofy moment. He’s naturally protective, deeply devoted to his people, and happiest when he has space to roam and a purpose to fulfill. His big, thunderous bark may surprise you, but it comes from a place of love and pride—he truly believes it’s his job to keep everyone safe. He’s housebroken, understands verbal and hand commands, and finds pure joy in the simple things: outdoor adventures, splashing in water, fresh air, and being close to the people he loves. This is not an easy decision. My work schedule has changed, and I no longer have the time Toasty deserves. He spends too much time alone, and he deserve

Story
Camo is a four-year-old Australian shepherd/great Pyrenees mix. She needs a home where she can run With a fenced yard since she’s an escape artist and tries to dig out. she’s good with adults, but I have not had her around children due to her aggressiveness. she’s very temperamental. She doesn’t like her food being messed with when she is eating. She has been to foster homes, but has been returned to me from the Skagit valley Humane Society due to her nipping a someone and biting — When she got placed into the foster homes, she was placed in one with other dogs, and there was food involved in the other one when she was aggressive. I don’t feel as if Humane Society listen to the dogs needs. They returned her before euthanasia. I don’t have time for her anymore as my family is growing. she needs structure and she needs somebody who is willing to give her a chance and spend time with her. she can be extremely cuddly and lovey
