Meet Maggie, A Wonder Woman Wearing a Catwoman Mask 🐶 Once a volunteer accidently dropped her leash and let her run away. Within minutes, Maggie returned on her own and gave the volunteer a big hug. She even brought a stick as a peace offering. It is amazing to see Maggie still has complete faith in humanity despite of surviving from Mass Dog Slaughterhouse. Maggie will love you whether you live in a little trailer or a big house. No matter what kind of mood you are in, Maggie can always make you smile. Can you be a special someone to give Maggie a home?

Story
Hello, my name is Kyra! I’m an 8 year old Great Dane weighing about 100 pounds. I know I’m a little older, but don’t let that fool you, I’m full of energy, healthy, and love to go on walks. I’m very friendly with everyone, cats, kids, dogs, and even a pig! I know sit, speak, shake, and stay. I walk great on a leash. I am fully potty trained and will tell you when I need to go. I prefer to have my own space when I eat, and I don't like sharing my kennel as it's my safe space. Overall I'm the best girl though and I’d love a home and family to spend the rest of my golden years with.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as ''Out of Town'' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.December 10, 2023, 2:52 pm

Story
WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Hobbs - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Oh my, it's BIG puppy, but puppy cuteness overload just the same going on here!!! This sweet boy has almost ALL the boxes checked - Affectionate - check Sweet - check Huggable and Kissable - double that check Playful - check Cute as a button(the big 4 hole kind!) - oh for sure that's a check Pawsome family members - yep, that's a check The family - no check :( ...yet! The name Hobbs is often thought to be a name that implies a pioneering spirit, a natural born leader, highly focused, and achievement oriented. Enduring hardship to try out new things come naturally and also being energetic and confident. Your heart’s desire is to help and care for those you love. You treasure family values and traditions and are willing to sacrifice yourself for the sake of others. Oh wow! Do I have a pawsome name or what?!! I am still just a puppy, although a big puppy, still just a puppy at heart. Playful, goofy, sweet, active... I has got it all. Being around 7 months and around 71ish lbs I still have some growing yet to do. But no matter my size I just want a loving family and a safe home. Remember, I might be big in size but that just means more of me to love you! I does do great with people but would do best with older kids, as I would hate to accidently knock over a little one. I also gets along with the other foster pups and would love having a playful sibling to have fun in the yard together stealing...err did I say that out loud? I really meant to say sharing toys!! I am working on my house training and almost have it down completely. I'm a smart cookie so it'll be a walk in the park. Speaking of which, I love going for walks and would do great with an action adventure family that goes on lots of outdoor activities. I would make a great companion for hikes/camping and neighborhood strolls or any other adventures you want to try out. I'd sure be game to give them a whirl too!! With my short sleek shiny coat, a quick wash, rinse and towel dry and I'm good to go, fairly low maintenance. That's always a good thing, cuz you know what that means don't you?! Oh yeah, it leaves lots of extra time for my 'spoil me rotten' time!! Are you searching for that boy that will be your constant? Always there for you, having your back? A big fella with an even bigger heart? Look no further, I just might be that boy. I just need YOUR help getting that last box checked!!

Story
NAME: Mark Ikagami LITTER: He is last of our "Real Genius" litter. His siblings have all been adopted. AGE/GENDER: Born 9/9/2022), male BREED: Based on the DNA, Mark is a Great Dane, shepherd, lab, husky mix TEMPERAMENT: Playful and mischievous HOUSE TRAINING: Good on a consistent schedule. CRATE TRAINING: Good. He eats and sleeps in his crate. OTHER DOGS: Good! He does love other dogs, but since he's still young, some other dogs may find him a tad annoying. CATS: Good! Continued socialization will be important! CHILDREN: Dog-respectful children, 12 and older ADOPTION DONATION: $600.00 HEALTH: Mark is healthy! He is altered, microchipped, flea treated, and dewormed. Your adoption donation goes toward the cost of this vet care as well as transportation and general care costs.  HISTORY: Motley Zoo Animal Rescue was asked to find him a great forever family and that is exactly what we plan to do! NOTES FROM FOSTER HOME: Mark is a sweet guy, who loves to run and play. He's very treat and affection motivated and wants nothing more than to please his people who help make him feel secure. He can make friends quickly with people but he can be a tad timid in new situations so it's important to give him a few minutes- then he will (literally) be eating right from your hand.   Mark is very dog-social and great with dogs of all ages and sizes and has lots of friends. He is equally as happy after he's done playing, to lie next to you and be the good boy that he is!   Mark has mastered basic training with us and knows how to walk well on a leash, sit, down and is ready to learn more with your guidance! He enjoys walks and he is crate trained and housebroken, which would both be beneficial for him to continue in his new home, especially to help him settle in and relax.   We feel his best home would be one with a person experienced with building confidence in large dogs who has a confident mentor dog for Mark to look up to and learn from. He does truly enjoy being with other dogs and it'd be great for him to have that going forward.     All dogs adopted from Motley Zoo come with a leash and Martingale collar.    Each dog also receives a "Tour Gear Bag" full of brochures, coupons, and supplies for your new pup!   ************************   ABOUT MOTLEY ZOO: Welcome to Motley Zoo Animal Rescue! We are a rock and roll themed, volunteer-powered, foster-based, 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization based in Redmond, WA. WE ARE FOSTER BASED- which means: There is nowhere for you to go to see animals today. Animals are VIEWED BY APPT ONLY. No casual meetings, unless at one of our events. Animals receive one-on-one, 24/7 care in a private, volunteer foster home, which is individualized for their needs  Through their foster placement, we get to know the animals well, which translates to accurate and customized matching service for you! As a private, volunteer home is involved we cannot accommodate same-day adoption meetings or surrenders.  Approved applicants can meet and adopt at an event, but otherwise, an application is still required and must be approved before an animal can go home.
