Our family has made the difficult decision to rehome our dogs. We are not looking to collect funds for them. We are looking to find them the home they need together. They are both very protective of their family and are extremely bored in our new home. Our old home had a large, fenced yard for them to run and bark. We also have 3 young children and cannot give the dogs the time and attention they need and deserve. Monty (tan with black spots) is about 4 years old and 120 lbs. About 2 weeks ago, he was on a walk and and lunged at another dog. The owner placed his hand in front of the other dog and was bitten. Monty can be very sweet with his owners, but also too protective. Welcome Reesaw to CCPAL Rescue. She is an 18-month-old Great Dane mix dog. She weighs in at 102 pounds. She is good with other dogs and came in with an older Great Dane named Planter. Reesaw does pull on leash but we will be working with that. She is moderately active and would be fine with a moderately active family. She is a good balance between active and couch potato. She is good with people and will bond deeply with her person. Great Danes are typically a little shy and they warm up and bond deeply to their family. She does fit this characteristic. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Someone who has owned an XL dog or a Great Dane would be preferable. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is 180. HISTORY: Meet Oreo! He is a sweet 3 year old brown brindle Mastiff / Great Dane / German Shepherd mix. He was an owner surrender when Red Waggin' pulled him from Stanislaus Shelter in Modesto, CA in early March 2023. He was fast tracked to euthanasia (less than 5 days) due in part, to shelter overcrowding. Since being rescued, he has become the most loving, sweet and goofy dog you ever want to meet. He enjoys going on walks and hanging out with his pack and foster family. He likes to go outside and play, but he also enjoys chilling out with a toy on his bed. He is a sweet and gorgeous love bug, who simply wants love back. In addition, he is house and leash trained. FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Give a warm welcome to Sienna! She is a 2-year-old, 84lb Great Dane/Shepherd mix who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA. Sienna is a super sweet dog that walks well on leash and has beautiful markings. She is calm, very smart, learns quickly, and has done well with other dogs. Sienna is still gaining a little bit of confidence but overall is down for any adventure. She loves to go on walks with her person and is very attentive to her handler. Sienna would love a home that takes her on daily walks and adventures. She would make a great additional dog in a home or she would be fine as an only dog with continued socialization. We don’t know what happened to her ear as half of one is missing and was that way when she came to us, but it adds that much more character to her! She is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $450.
