Domino is a great dane that is mostly lazy low key dog except when food is around. She is house trained, good on a leash and good with commands. Sadly we are looking to rehome her because the new baby hasn't been a welcomed by the dog.

Story
Aurora is absolutely darling!!! She is very affectionate and friendly! Aurora LOVES belly rubs and loves to be outside and sunbathe! She has been in a foster home since the beginning of May and is doing wonderfully. She lives with another greyhound and a smaller dog and does really well with both. Her foster mom says she loves to cuddle and if you sit on the floor with her, she will rest her head on you somehow. Aurora loves balls, not to fetch but to squeak! She has the cutest stretch, and yawns and makes a funny sound when she does. She is so sweet and wants to please. Her foster mom has taught her to sit and is work on "paw". Aurora is eager to please and loves playing with toys. She walks well on leash (most of the time - on occasion she can be quite strong) and loves her walks. Aurora does have a high prey drive when she sees something move outside, so she needs someone who can continue her training (she works well with redirection). There are two other dogs in her foster home and they like to play fight - Aurora doesn't get involved when they do, but if she does she likes to slap with her paws and since she is so strong she could hurt a small dog, but if you tell her to stop, she does! She has done well on her house-training too. She also eats well and is not protective of her food. Aurora is really good in the car and mostly sleeps. Her foster mom thinks she will do well with other dogs and/or children as she has poked and prodded and done all the things a greyhound often doesn't like and Aurora has not reacted at all! What a sweetie! Aurora may be ok as an only dog, but she does not like to be crated. Aurora will need a home without cats and with someone who can manage her strength. This is one special girl - such a cuddle bug - someone is missing out on this sweetheart! For questions and to meet super cutie Aurora, please email Moira at fastpaws1998@gmail.com.

Story
Cletus is ready to find his forever home! This affectionate pup is the ultimate snuggle bug and is always first to claim his spot on the couch for cuddles. His foster mom describes him as a velcro pup because he loves being close to his people! Cletus has never met a person he doesn’t love and after a minute of getting to know you, the butt wiggles start and he soaks up all the attention! His favorite activities include running around with his canine friends, laying in the sun, naps, and, of course, snuggling.  This boy is great with other dogs and hasn’t reacted to kitties when he’s seen them. He’s very smart and learns quickly, making training a breeze! He's already mastering basic cues and house manners, and he's fully crate trained and housebroken—a true good boy!  Traveling with Cletus is a joy; he's fantastic in the car and makes an excellent companion for adventures.  We estimate Cletus was born around August of 2023, so he’s still a pup, and a DNA test revealed he’s 53% Great Dane and 45% Lab. As of March, Cletus weighed in at 32 pounds, but he’s still catching up on growing after initially coming into rescue very underweight. He’s super tall with very long legs, so we expect him to grow up to be a pretty big boy! If you're an active family seeking a loving and fun-loving canine companion, Cletus could be the perfect fit! Cletus’s adoption fee is $550 and he is neutered, up to date with vaccinations, and microchipped. If you are interested in adopting Cletus, please fill out an application from our website https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application. Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old. Story
Myrtle is ready to find her forever home! This sweet girl is a social butterfly who adores everyone she meets—big or small, furry or not, she welcomes them with open paws!  Myrtle is a curious explorer who enjoys shadowing her humans around the house, always eager to see what they're up to. She has a special fondness for the 9-year-old in the family, as she's known to suddenly break into a playful run, which never fails to delight Myrtle! One of Myrtle's favorite pastimes is lounging on the floor surrounded by her collection of toys so that whenever she moves her head she has a new option to play with – such a funny girl!  Myrtle gets along fabulously with her canine foster brother, enjoying playtime and taking cues from him like a champ. She would do great in a home with another dog, or would also be fine as a solo pup with regular playdates. Myrtle is making excellent progress with her training and is learning house manners, basic cues, and doing well with house and crate training. With her eager-to-please attitude and love for companionship, Myrtle is sure to be a delightful addition to a loving home! We estimate Myrtle was born around August of 2023, so she’s still a pup, and a DNA test on her brother (Cletus) showed she’s a Great Dane/Lab mix. As of March, Myrtle weighed in at 31 pounds, but she’s still catching up on growing after initially coming into rescue very underweight. She’s super tall with very long legs, so we expect her to grow up to be a good size girl! If you're looking for a sweet, social, and playful companion, Myrtle could be the one for you!  Myrtle’s adoption fee is $550 and she is spayed, up to date with vaccinations, and microchipped. If you are interested in adopting Myrtle, please fill out an application from our website https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application.
