Story
Looking for a large goofball who snuggles like he is a small pup? Then Buddy is your man! Buddy is incredibly sweet and bonds to his human within a few days. He is house-trained, crate-trained, and can go a full night with no accidents. If you allow dogs on the bed, Buddy will love to place his head on the pillow next to you and be the little spoon. He leans on you (literally and figuratively) to help him through the world as he is a deaf dog. Although he may not be able to hear most things, he is able to pick up on large noises and can feel the vibrations of your footsteps or knocking on something to get his attention. Buddy has picked up on context clues to know when it is time to eat, go on a walk, or do whatever else you need him to do. He has exposure to sign communication but does not seem to have an interest in it yet. He is treat-motivated and could be trained with sign language in the future.   Buddy will do best in a house with space for him to walk around as he is a large boy who needs his exercise. (He easily takes up the whole couch!) He is not always aware of his size and may step on your toes accidentally -- just breathe through it! Also, Buddy is not aware of the volume of his barking and for that reason is not suited for apartment life as he may disturb your neighbors. He loves smaller dogs as he used to live in a foster home with pugs. When passing a smaller dog on the sidewalk, Buddy will get too excited and jump around barking loudly at the pup. It comes across as scary to the smaller dog because of his size and the loud volume at which he is barking at them. This is another reason a home with a yard will be good for Buddy -- it will reduce the times when he will get exposed to smaller dogs which he may frighten with his larger-than-life excitement and size. With proper training, Buddy should be able to contain his excitement. Apply through our website northwestwagrescue.orgAdoption Fee $500 ##1657012##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please meet Annabel a Great Dane 1.5 to 2 years old and 72 lbs.  Annabel was rescued from the street along with her pups in La Paz, BCS, Mexico.  She is VERY sweet and grateful to be in a foster home where she is loved and cared for, but is looking for her forever home where she can get all the love she craves.  She is very sweet and loves to climb up into your lap for hugs and petting, and likes to snuggle with you on the couch to watch TV.  She gets along great with other dogs in her foster home and is especially fond of puppies.  Annabel walks nicely on leash, but sometimes gets scared when she sees other dogs and will need more practice and positive reinforcement and obedience training to build her confidence.  She is very food motivated and easy to train! If you love Great Danes Annabel is your girl.  Annabel is vaccinated, microchip and spayed. 5-2 years old. Was found with her litter of puppies (Apple, Axel and Rose) running the street, very thin and almost hit by a truck. A neighbor rescued her and we took them in. She is very sweet, LOVES to climb up in your lap for hugs. 72 lbs. Gets along great with other dogs, loves puppies. Walks nicely on leash but she is leash reactive when she sees other dogs and gets very concerned. Not aggressive just scared. I am working with her on it using positive reinforcement and she's doing much better but will need someone who can continue her training.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 6, 2023, 6:37 pm

Story
Courtesay post for Rockys Great Dane Rescue   My name is Lola and let me tell you, I have had a rough go at life. I am looking for a new home that has adults only, no young children. I do not like other dogs either; my previous foster home said I am okay around cats.   I was pulled from a high-kill shelter and adopted, but SURPRISE, I was pregnant, and no-one knew it. The shelter told the rescue I was spayed, but apparently not! I had three beautiful puppies and it really made me sad to see them all leave.   I had a wonderful home and family waiting for me in Washington State, which is where I am now. However, I am not the right fit for this family because I do not like their kids, and I have not been nice to other dogs. I belong in a home where there are no children or dogs, and not a lot of visitors.   Now, all the good stuff about me… I love long walks and I am leash-trained. I love laying on the couch watching movies next to my person, sunbathing in the yard, carrying around my favorite stuffed animal and car rides! I know how to Sit, Stay, Drop it, and Go to Bed. I am house-broken and do not make any messes or have accidents in the house.   The shelter said that I am 6 years old, but the Rescue thinks I am about 4.5 years old and I weigh about 100 pounds.   I know the right home is out there for me. Please someone step up that can help this sweet baby.   Adoption link for LaRue https://form.jotform.com/51994996709176 You can contact us directly at info@dogdiggityrescue.com, or fill out and application at  https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-ls-dog-diggity/  L & S Dog Diggity Rescue is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We save homeless and abandoned dogs and find them loving forever homes in other areas, where pet homelessness is not epidemic. All of our pets are located here, in San Antonio, and we partner with  rescues to provide transportation for our pets to their new homes. Our adoption fee includes vet care (vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchipping, etc), as well as transportation and health certificate. Story
Welcome Reesaw to CCPAL Rescue. She is an 18-month-old Great Dane mix dog. She weighs in at 102 pounds. She is good with other dogs and came in with an older Great Dane named Planter. Reesaw does pull on leash but we will be working with that. She is moderately active and would be fine with a moderately active family. She is a good balance between active and couch potato. She is good with people and will bond deeply with her person. Great Danes are typically a little shy and they warm up and bond deeply to their family. She does fit this characteristic. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Someone who has owned an XL dog or a Great Dane would be preferable. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is 180. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
NAME: Mark Ikagami LITTER: He is part of our "Real Genius" litter. AGE/GENDER: Baby (born 9/9/2022), male BREED: Based on the DNA, Mark is a Great Dane, shepherd, lab, husky mix TEMPERAMENT: Playful and mischievous HOUSE TRAINING: Not yet! He is a baby so he'll need a consistent schedule with multiple opportunities daily to go outside while he works on it. Puppies should not be considered reliable in regard to housetraining until 6-12 months of age. They're a lot like toddlers, who require diapers! CRATE TRAINING: Good, he's young and trainable! OTHER DOGS: Good! He will need continued socialization, like all puppies! CATS: Good! Continued socialization will be important! CHILDREN: Dog-respectful children, 12 and older ADOPTION DONATION: $600.00 HEALTH: Mark is healthy! Prior to adoption, puppies will be altered, microchipped, flea treated, and dewormed. Puppies are given vaccination boosters in our care; however, adoptive families will be responsible for the remaining vaccinations that puppies need. Your adoption donation goes toward the cost of this vet care as well as transportation and general care costs.  HISTORY: Motley Zoo Animal Rescue was asked to find him a great forever family and that is exactly what we plan to do! NOTES FROM FOSTER HOME: Mark is a sweet little boy, but he can be nervous in new situations. He does need a dog-savvy owner with a mentor dog who can help Mark get the confidence he needs to be the best dog that he can be. He's very treat and affection motivated. He wants nothing more than to please the people who help make him feel secure. He can make friends quickly with the right treatment and patience. He is very dog social and is great with dogs of all ages and sizes, but as he is a growing boy, he just needs to be reminded of his size. After playing, he's happy to lie next to you and be the good boy that he is!   Mark is a puppy so he's playful and has a lot of puppy energy! He is super cute and fun, but a lot of work. His forever family should be committed to lots of training - obedience, housetraining, and socialization. This will ensure that he grows into a confident, well behaved adult! Puppies' personalities are dependent on their environment, and the structure and training they are given, in addition to socialization. Their personalities continue to grow and be shaped by their new adoptive families. Puppy daycare and socialization classes or puppy kindergarten are highly recommended for their personal development. He will more than reward you for all your hard work with lots of love, loyalty, and laughs.   All dogs adopted from Motley Zoo come with a leash and either a Martingale collar or a harness, depending on each dog's particular needs.   Welcome to Motley Zoo Animal Rescue. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization that is run by volunteers. Motley Zoo does not have a brick and mortar shelter location. Instead, all our rescue animals are cared for in private foster homes where the animals receive one-on-one care and attention in a home environment until permanent placement is found. Please email adopt@motleyzoo.org and request an adoption application and we will work toward approving you as an adopter with our rescue so that we can set a time for you to meet!   For more information, please visit www.motleyzoo.org.   Thank you for considering adopting a dog in need!   Woof,   The Motley Zoo CrewJune 6, 2023, 11:42 pm
