Story
We got Luna when she was about 3-5 months old. She is now about 3 years old. We would like her to go to a good family that will take good care of her and will treat her well. She is a very happy and energetic dog. She loves walks, playing, and being out. She gets along well with other dogs and kids. She is crate trained, usually out and about during the day and in her crate during the night. Unfortunately, I was recently hospitalized and I can no longer take care of her as I once did. We would like for whoever chooses to take her, to treat her well and care for her with lots of love.

Story
Rip is a wonderful sweet family boy. We rescued him 1.5 years ago, he was found roaming the streets and didn’t have a known history. He is about 5 years old. He is amazing with our two young kids, all of their friends that come over, and all humans, known and new, that come to our house. He gets along with our two other big dogs, and visiting dogs when he’s introduced well. We are looking for a new loving home because we do not have a secure enough yard for him. We live on a big property with multiple gates, and unfortunately our kids are learning to open gates and we cannot guarantee his security. He has snuck out a few times and gone after little dogs. We love him very much and want him to find a family that would have a more secure yard where there is no chance of him escaping. Please contact me with any questions. Thank you !

Story
Sugar is a 7-year-old Pyrenees mix with the kindest heart and the sweetest soul. While we don’t know much about her life before rescue, it’s clear she hasn’t always had it easy. She came to us with a skin condition and significant dental wear and despite that, Sugar is nothing but gentle, loving, and grateful. Her foster describes her as an absolute angel. Sugar is calm, well-behaved, and deeply affectionate. She forms bonds quickly and seems to truly appreciate the comfort and care of a loving home. Sugar does wonderfully with confident dogs and has been lovely on social outings. She enjoys beach days and family adventures, and while she can be a little unsure around fast-moving bikes or busy foot traffic on walks, she continues to gain confidence every day. She’s a smart, eager-to-please girl who already knows how to sit and patiently waits while her leash is put on. She enjoys playtime, loves her chew toys and lick mats, and still has plenty of joy and curiosity for life. At home, Sugar is the ultimate companion. She loves belly rubs, leans in close for affection, and is happiest curled up near her people for a cozy night in. She’s the perfect balance of adventure buddy and couch companion. If you’re looking for a gentle, loyal, family-friendly dog with a heart of gold, Sugar is ready to meet you.

Story
Meet Wendy – Sweet, Adorable, and So Ready to Love You! Wendy is a medium-energy girl who loves her daily walks and is always up for an adventure. On leash, she’s very easy to handle. When she spots another dog— even across the street— she’s interested and will stop to stare, her tail wagging the whole time. She's a friendly and curious gal! At home, Wendy is incredibly affectionate and thrives on love and attention. Belly rubs are at the top of her favorite things list! She also loves settling down with a Kong filled with frozen peanut butter. While she does have a little separation anxiety, she sleeps peacefully in her own room for up to 10 hours at night without much fuss. Wendy is potty trained and listens well when corrected. She’s eager to please and responds beautifully to gentle guidance. She’s wonderful with people and is not shy at all — she’s been great with kids and happily greets human strangers with her sweet nature. She’s also doing great with her 13-year-old foster dog sibling, a mini dachshund, and seems genuinely interested in other dogs. Wendy is ready to bring warmth, tail wags, and lots of cuddles into her forever home. If you’re looking for a loving, loyal companion who will adore you as much as you adore her, Wendy might just be your girl!

Story
Duke is a very very sweet and super easy going boy. He can be a bit timid and shy, but he goes along with the program. Duke was held on a rural property in the middle of nowhere with a few other dogs. He was not exposed to much life outside of that place. Duke loves other dogs, and can be very playful. He walks well on a leash too. He is comfortable in a home environment and will be happy in a home (not apartment) and another larger dog to play with would be ideal. He also loves the company of kitties. All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. Our dogs are in foster homes which enables us to learn more about them in a home environment. We do not place dogs on a first come first serve basis, but rather to the home best suited for them. An application, adoption fee and contract are required. Please direct all questions to adopt@crdogrescue.com. All our dogs can be met with an approved application. Thank you for looking at a rescue dog for your next family member.
