Meet Sequoia! Her mom is a pure Border Collie and as sweet as they come. Mom does not act like a typical high energy Border Collie who always needs a job to do. She would rather cuddle with you and although loves her walks, she is on the calm side. If babies are anything like her they are going to be exceptional! Mom was rescued from the city shelter 5 days before delivering 11 babies!! Mom is only 37 pounds but babies will be bigger. They were born on December 5th, and are ready to come home! Our adoption fee is $600 which covers their first two vaccines, deworming, and spay/neuter. Sugar is a 7-year-old Pyrenees mix with the kindest heart and the sweetest soul. While we don’t know much about her life before rescue, it’s clear she hasn’t always had it easy. She came to us with a skin condition and significant dental wear and despite that, Sugar is nothing but gentle, loving, and grateful. Her foster describes her as an absolute angel. Sugar is calm, well-behaved, and deeply affectionate. She forms bonds quickly and seems to truly appreciate the comfort and care of a loving home. Sugar does wonderfully with confident dogs and has been lovely on social outings. She enjoys beach days and family adventures, and while she can be a little unsure around fast-moving bikes or busy foot traffic on walks, she continues to gain confidence every day. She’s a smart, eager-to-please girl who already knows how to sit and patiently waits while her leash is put on. She enjoys playtime, loves her chew toys and lick mats, and still has plenty of joy and curiosity for life. At home, Sugar is the ultimate companion. She loves belly rubs, leans in close for affection, and is happiest curled up near her people for a cozy night in. She’s the perfect balance of adventure buddy and couch companion. Story

I found Koda on the side of the road being sold out of a truck on June 4, 2022. He was covered in ticks and fleas and had a stomach parasite. He was only 2 months old and there was no information or paperwork on his past or his parents. I took him to the vet and made sure he was healthy and had no issues. Koda grew up with my golden retriever and cat so he gets along very well with them. He has been around other dogs but doesn't get along well with them. Some days he is more stubborn than usual and refuses to go outside and he tends to have his moments where he likes to be alone. But he is a wonderful guard dog, but that means he does bark a lot. With meeting new people he is very timid, it takes some time for him to come around and get to know people. Koda has a big heart but is very stubborn, but with the right family and training I feel that Koda can be a great dog. Koda needs a very loving and patient family. Dove is a magnificent dog. She was picked up as a stray in the fields of Kern County. She was pregnant and gave birth to 5 puppies in the home of her amazing foster and rescuer. Dove is now ready for her forever home. She is a sweet and loving gal. She is a cuddler and a lover. She will also make you laugh. These dogs make amazing family dogs. She is about 1 year and 4 mo old. You will absolutely love her. All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. Our dogs are in foster homes which enables us to learn more about them in a home environment. We do not place dogs on a first come first serve basis, but rather to the home best suited for them. Duke is a very very sweet and super easy going boy. He can be a bit timid and shy, but he goes along with the program. Duke was held on a rural property in the middle of nowhere with a few other dogs. He was not exposed to much life outside of that place. Duke loves other dogs, and can be very playful. He walks well on a leash too. He is comfortable in a home environment and will be happy in a home (not apartment) and another larger dog to play with would be ideal. He also loves the company of kitties. All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. Sweet Dahlia is a lucky gal. She was a staff favorite at a high kill county shelter. They reached out to me to see if I could help this girl. We said yes, and here she is. Dahlia is super duper ez. Very low key. Goes with the flow wherever she is. If you are looking for a low maintenance, kind of a stroll along kind of dog, Dahlia is perfect. She also does great in a work environment. Home or office. She weighs 72 pounds. All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped.
