Story
66 pound Katie is a MAGNIFICENT dog. She gave birth in the shelter to 5 puppies. We rescued the whole family. Katie just loves life. She is very people oriented, loves other dogs and is perfect with kids. She is a dream on the leash and beyond extraordinary. She has gone to many places with her foster. Lunches, dinners, brunch and to the office. Everywhere she goes she steals the hearts of everyone. Her tail is exquisite giving her even more personality than she already has. Katie is only 2 years old and would flourish in an active family. All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. Our dogs are in foster homes which enables us to learn more about them in a home environment. We do not place dogs on a first come first serve basis, but rather to the home best suited for them. An application, adoption fee and contract are required. Please direct all questions to adopt@crdogrescue.com. All our dogs can be met with an approved application. Thank you for looking at a rescue dog for your next family member.

Story
Meet Oliver... another absolute exquisite example of majestic beauty. Oliver was rescued from an extremely high kill animal shelter in Kern County. This boy is living with 3 dogs. He is great with the females, but can get in squabbles with the male shepherd. We are suggesting that he goes to a home without another male dog. Oliver is a leaner, a cuddle and all around amazing boy. He walks well on leash, is super ez going. He is under 2 years of age and will make any family gush. Oliver weighs around 85 pounds. Story
➡️COURTESY post please text 818-378-8995 to foster or adopt⬅️ Brody is a sweet 2 yo Great Pyrenees who sadly was abandoned in boarding when a rescue group closed. He’s about 95 lbs, super sweet and so eager to find a home to call his own. Brody might be shy upon first meeting but you won’t find a more loyal companion… and boarding is not a place where he should be. Please share his post and help him find a home for the holidays.🙏🏼 Fixed, UTD on shots and ready for love! Text 818-378-8995 for more information. Thank you!!

Story
RODEO HAS GOTTEN ALONG WITH DOGS WE HAVE INTRODUCED HIM TO THAT ARE HIS OWN SIZE. PROPER INTRODUCTION WOULD BE NEEDED TO EVALUATE IF HE'S GOING TO GET ALONG WITH AN EXISTING DOG IN A HOME BUT BECAUSE OF HIS SIZE AND STRENGTH, WE BELIEVE HE WOULD BE A GOOD MATCH FOR A DOG HIS SIZE. APPLICANTS MUST LIVE IN THE CITY OF LOS ANGELES IN AN ADULT-ONLY HOME (NO APARTMENTS) WITH A PRIVATE YARD. RODEO is the definition of a Rhinestone Cowboy! Not only does he have stunning good looks, but his DNA results prove that he is quite a unique gem of Great Pyrenees/Aussie/Border Collie. Our rescue has been working with a certified professional dog trainer to help us get to know Rodeo and set him up for success. Rodeo is an incredible dog that would do best with an adopter that has experience with the large working breeds and structure in the home. He would not be a good dog for a first-time dog owner. Mostly comprised of Great Pyrenees, he has the potential to be protective of his family. He doesn’t know his own strength and size at times, so we have been working on him staying calm and focusing on his handler. Because of Rodeo’s grand stature, he would require a home with a yard (NOT AN APARTMENT) and no small children that he could inadvertently knock over or small pets. Rodeo estimated date of birth is January, 2019. He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and whoever is lucky enough to adopt this rooty tooty cowboy will get an in-home dog training lesson as part of his adoption. Now that’s something to YEE-HAW about! --- If you are interested in adopting Rodeo please fill out our adoption application by clicking this LINK. Applications are required PRIOR to meeting one of our animals and are used to set up a safe and successful adoption. Please don't be shy and answer the questions thoroughly. To learn more about our entire process please visit www.therescuetrain.org and click on the "Adopt A Dog" page. PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT OWN A FACILITY. Our animals are in private foster homes. If you are interested in adopting one of our animals please fill out our online application.
