Story
Rip is a wonderful sweet family boy. We rescued him 1.5 years ago, he was found roaming the streets and didn’t have a known history. He is about 5 years old. He is amazing with our two young kids, all of their friends that come over, and all humans, known and new, that come to our house. He gets along with our two other big dogs, and visiting dogs when he’s introduced well. We are looking for a new loving home because we do not have a secure enough yard for him. We live on a big property with multiple gates, and unfortunately our kids are learning to open gates and we cannot guarantee his security. He has snuck out a few times and gone after little dogs. We love him very much and want him to find a family that would have a more secure yard where there is no chance of him escaping. Please contact me with any questions. Thank you !

Story
I found Koda on the side of the road being sold out of a truck on June 4, 2022. He was covered in ticks and fleas and had a stomach parasite. He was only 2 months old and there was no information or paperwork on his past or his parents. I took him to the vet and made sure he was healthy and had no issues. Koda grew up with my golden retriever and cat so he gets along very well with them. He has been around other dogs but doesn't get along well with them. Some days he is more stubborn than usual and refuses to go outside and he tends to have his moments where he likes to be alone. But he is a wonderful guard dog, but that means he does bark a lot. With meeting new people he is very timid, it takes some time for him to come around and get to know people. Koda has a big heart but is very stubborn, but with the right family and training I feel that Koda can be a great dog. Koda needs a very loving and patient family. Please message me for any questions or concerns.

Story
Duke is a very very sweet and super easy going boy. He can be a bit timid and shy, but he goes along with the program. Duke was held on a rural property in the middle of nowhere with a few other dogs. He was not exposed to much life outside of that place. Duke loves other dogs, and can be very playful. He walks well on a leash too. He is comfortable in a home environment and will be happy in a home (not apartment) and another larger dog to play with would be ideal. He also loves the company of kitties. All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. Our dogs are in foster homes which enables us to learn more about them in a home environment. We do not place dogs on a first come first serve basis, but rather to the home best suited for them. An application, adoption fee and contract are required. Please direct all questions to adopt@crdogrescue.com. All our dogs can be met with an approved application. Thank you for looking at a rescue dog for your next family member.

Story
COURTESY POST: CONTACT 818-378-8995 to foster OR adopt. Brody is a shy 2-year-old, 95 lb. boy, who sadly was abandoned and left in boarding when a rescue group closed its doors. Brody is a little nervous with new people but once he gets to know you, he’ll be your most loyal companion. He is calm, playful, gentle with other dogs and loves to play catch with his trusted two-legged friends. He enjoys being by your side and will sit calmly and smile when he’s ready for affection and belly rubs. It might take some time to earn his trust… but the love he offers in return will be worth it. (No kids please, they scare him). House-trained, neutered, current on vaccines and ready for a home to call his own.

Story
RODEO HAS GOTTEN ALONG WITH DOGS WE HAVE INTRODUCED HIM TO THAT ARE HIS OWN SIZE. PROPER INTRODUCTION WOULD BE NEEDED TO EVALUATE IF HE'S GOING TO GET ALONG WITH AN EXISTING DOG IN A HOME BUT BECAUSE OF HIS SIZE AND STRENGTH, WE BELIEVE HE WOULD BE A GOOD MATCH FOR A DOG HIS SIZE. APPLICANTS MUST LIVE IN THE CITY OF LOS ANGELES IN AN ADULT-ONLY HOME (NO APARTMENTS) WITH A PRIVATE YARD. RODEO is the definition of a Rhinestone Cowboy! Not only does he have stunning good looks, but his DNA results prove that he is quite a unique gem of Great Pyrenees/Aussie/Border Collie. Our rescue has been working with a certified professional dog trainer to help us get to know Rodeo and set him up for success. Rodeo is an incredible dog that would do best with an adopter that has experience with the large working breeds and structure in the home. He would not be a good dog for a first-time dog owner. Mostly comprised of Great Pyrenees, he has the potential to be protective of his family. He doesn’t know his own strength and size at times, so we have been working on him staying calm and focusing on his handler. Because of Rodeo’s grand stature, he would require a home with a yard (NOT AN APARTMENT) and no small children that he could inadvertently knock over or small pets. Rodeo estimated date of birth is January, 2019. He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and whoever is lucky enough to adopt this rooty tooty cowboy will get an in-home dog training lesson as part of his adoption. Now that’s something to YEE-HAW about! --- If you are interested in adopting Rodeo please fill out our adoption application by clicking this LINK. Applications are required PRIOR to meeting one of our animals and are used to set up a safe and successful adoption. Please don't be shy and answer the questions thoroughly. To learn more about our entire process please visit www.therescuetrain.org and click on the "Adopt A Dog" page. PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT OWN A FACILITY. Our animals are in private foster homes.
