Story
Meet Camille 💛Camille is a stunning 1-year-old Great Pyrenees mix with a big heart and an energetic spirit. This sweet girl is already spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped—she’s all set and ready to find her forever home!Camille has a higher energy level and would thrive in a home where she has plenty of space to run and explore. She would do best as an outdoor dog on a farm or large acreage, where she can stay active and put her energy to good use. Whether she’s patrolling her space or enjoying a good run, Camille loves having room to move. She’s dog-friendly, walks well on a leash, and has a friendly, affectionate personality. While she can settle down after exercise, she’ll need regular activity to stay happy and fulfilled. Camille is not a fan of being confined and will break out of a crate, so she’s best suited for a home that doesn’t rely on crating. If you’re looking for a loyal, active companion who will love having space to roam and a job to do, Camille could be the perfect fit for you.Come meet Camille and see if she’s your new adventure buddy! Please call the shelter at (706) 795-2868 to schedule a meet and greet.Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter is a non-profit shelter serving over 720 square miles. We are open intake, meaning we can not turn away animals from either county we serve. Our shelter intakes double or triple it's capacity every month so it is essential we place animals quickly into adoptive homes. Since so many animals enter the shelter we often don't have enough volunteers to write an individual bio for each. Please feel free to call the shelter Wednesday-Sunday to inquire about the animal you are interested in. 706-795-2868.Viewing and adoption hours at our shelter are Wednesday through Sunday from 12 PM to 5 PM. All adoption fees include age-appropriate vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming, and spay or neuter, microchip, and adoption packet. Fees:Dogs over 6 months old: $100Puppies under 6 months: $200. Cats and Kittens are $75 ($65 without microchip). For your convenience you can fill out an adoption application for any of our current residents at www.moaspets.com. We are located at:1888 Colbert Danielsville Rd Danielsville, GA 30633 706-795-2868NOTE: Our adoptions are first come first served, simply filling out an application does not mean the animal will be held for you, you must come meet the animal in person in order to be considered for adoption. If you rent you must bring your lease or a letter from your landlord stating you may adopt.

Story
We got Atlas December 2024 at 6 weeks old from a breeder. He is full bred but we do not have papers. He is 16 months old. He is house trained, free feeds, and know basic commands (sit, shake, lay). Currently he is shaved but has a beautiful coat if maintained. He is not fixed as we were waiting for him to finish growing. We are rehoming him because we recently had a baby and are unable to give him the attention he needs. He has lots of energy and would love someone who can take him on walks and play with him daily. He currently has to be on a runner because he likes to roam but would probably love to be on a farm. He will be due for vaccinations mid march- I can provide his records. We hate to get rid of him but none of us are doing well in this situation. He is not getting enough attention and we are struggling to take care of a baby around his pent up energy. Our baby also has eczema and he might be why. He is not aggressive, he is honestly overly friendly. Fee to ensure good home.

Story
Diffie is a stunning "looker" who draws a crowd wherever he goes. Rescued during the pandemic, he has spent the last few years being a beloved companion. His favorite things include: the wind in his hair -whether it’s a car ride with the windows down or a day out on the boat, he loves the breeze and handles travel like a pro; outdoor freedom -he is well-behaved and is both house-trained and off-leash trained, making him a dream for someone with a secure property or an active lifestyle. While Diffie is a "good boy" in so many ways, he does struggle with resource guarding and food protectiveness. Because of this, he needs a specific type of home: someone who understands livestock guardian breeds or has experience with resource guarding, a home where the owner has the time and patience to continue his behavioral training, ideally a home without small children (to ensure everyone's safety during mealtimes). Diffie has so much love to give and is ready for his next chapter.
