SnowBreed: Great Pyrenes-Pitbull MixGender: FemaleDOB: 9/15/2021Adoption Fee: $200Snow is ready for adoption! She is going to be a loyal companion and protector for the rest of her years! She is a sweet girl that will need some time to warm up to you but once she knows you, she will love you forever! She loves her special people and she will need a big fenced in backyard and plenty of space to run and play. If you think Snow would make wonderful addition to your family, please come by and meet her! Please read the animal bios completely before requesting additional information as we do our best to answer the most frequently ask questions in these bios. In order to adopt one of our animals an application must be submitted and approved. You can find these applications by going to http://humanemorgan.org/index.php?page=adoption ABOUT ADOPTING FROM THE HSMC: The shelter address is 1170 Fairground Rd. Madison, GA 30650. For more information on any of our pets, please feel free to email us at INFO@HUMANEMORGAN.ORG give us a call at 706-343-9977. All dogs are heartworm negative, current on vaccines/dewormings, and microchipped. All cats are FeLv/FIV negative, current on vaccines/dewormings, and microchipped. We are open 10am-5pm Monday-Saturday, we schedule our last adoption at 4pm everyday to allow our staff enough time to feed and walk dogs. We are an animal shelter and therefore are not able to individually potty train our residents. Many adult dogs do arrive “house broken” however due to animal behavior any change in environment will make an emotional impact on the animals and therefore initiate unwanted behaviors during the acclamation period. Please keep this in mind. Puppies do not have the biological maturity to maintain absolute bladder or bowel control and will require a certain degree of potty training and house breaking. Please consider the time and commitment it takes to provide the necessary building blocks for these special babies, prior to submitting your application. If you have any questions please email us at info@humanemorgan.org and provide name of the animal you are interested in, in the subject line. Thank you, HSMC Staff ADOPTION FEES Adoption Fees may change without notice. Story
Bella was rescued from a family who were keeping her in the backyard neglectfully without no or very minimum interactions. She scared and very timid when we rescued her to our home. She would not even go to the next room cause she was not allowed anywhere else beside her shade in her previos home. We rescued her a week ago and she is already very playful and open. She does have to be pushed to do new things because she is scared to try new things. After you push her to do it, she quickly adjust and does it by herself the next time. This things happened when she wont even climb the stairs. She goes along very well with my pitbull and is very friendly with new people. She growls when she does not want to go to new place ( cause she kept inside all her life)but she does not bite. She is loving and want attention from people she loves.

Story
Jasper is a 3.5 year old male Great Pyrenees and we adopted him 2 years ago at Great Pyrenees rescue Atlanta. He is energetic and playful, he will do great at a family with a large backyard, with no other dog and young children(but he does awesome with teenagers! He isn’t aggressive to young children, it’s just that he is 140lbs, younger children don’t bare his force well during play). We found out that he has addison’s disease and is getting percorten V injection every month to keep him in a healthy condition, the continuing medical expenses should be carefully considered for anyone who wants to adopt him. Jasper needs an experienced owner, He is potty trained but need consistent behavior training ongoing basis. If you are able to work with him he can be a great companion!

Story
Honey is a 4 year old Great Pyrenees with a heart of gold and eyes that look into your soul. She had a rough life before she found a soft landing with Dirt Road Doggies. She was used a breeding dog and then dumped and left to starve. In typical Great Pyrenees fashion, she is protective of her area so we suggest she be an only dog. She may improve with training as we think she was left to defend her puppies in the past. She's a laid back girl and would love a fenced in back yard where she could hang and watch the squirrels all day!  ##1811730##

Story
Foster's got the whole gentle giant vibe going on - he's all about making furry dog friends and being a soft, fluffy marshmallow of love! He's cool with dogs of all shapes and sizes, although he hasn't had a tiny doggy playdate off-leash yet. One time, a little dog tried to start a brawl with him, but Foster just raised an eyebrow in surprise - no drama from his side! Found abandoned at a park, this potential Great Pyrenees mix is all about a dog life, with a spacious, fenced yard! Dog walks are his jam, and when left home alone, he's used to going to his room (aka crate) to avoid any boredom-induced nibbling on people stuff. This young gentleman insured to please this new family! applied today to set up a meeting with Mr. Foster! Age: 3 years  Weight: 44 lbs  Temperament: Good with all adults, and enjoys other dogs but NO CATS please; not yet kid tested but should be fine with older respectful kids.   Vetting: Neutered, up to date on vaccines, HW negative    Training: House trained To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent to (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself.April 22, 2024, 8:24 am
