Story
Diffie is a stunning "looker" who draws a crowd wherever he goes. Rescued during the pandemic, he has spent the last few years being a beloved companion. His favorite things include: the wind in his hair -whether it’s a car ride with the windows down or a day out on the boat, he loves the breeze and handles travel like a pro; outdoor freedom -he is well-behaved and is both house-trained and off-leash trained, making him a dream for someone with a secure property or an active lifestyle. While Diffie is a "good boy" in so many ways, he does struggle with resource guarding and food protectiveness. Because of this, he needs a specific type of home: someone who understands livestock guardian breeds or has experience with resource guarding, a home where the owner has the time and patience to continue his behavioral training, ideally a home without small children (to ensure everyone's safety during mealtimes). Diffie has so much love to give and is ready for his next chapter.

Story
Meet Bruno, a beautiful Great Pyrenees with the classic gentle soul and quiet confidence known to the breed. Calm, observant, and loyal, Bruno bonds with the people he trusts and loves being near his humans, whether he is lounging or keeping watch. While Bruno is respectful and affectionate with people, he would do well in a dog & cat free environment where he doesn't have to share his space or attention. True to the breed, Bruno is independent, devoted and protective. Like most Great Pyrenees, he will often bark at passersby outside and can be aloof to strangers. He enjoys a calm household, steady routine and a home that understands large guardian breed. A calm household with patient, experienced adopters would be ideal. Bruno would do best in a predictable home without children. If you're looking for a loyal companion to train to watch over your home and livestock, and you can provide a space where Bruno is secure and respected, this majestic boy could be the perfect match! Bruno is approximately 2 years old (est. birth date 03/30/2024), and his adoption fee is $510. Bruno has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. If you want to know more about Bruno, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt.

Story
Meet Ace! This 7-month-old sweetheart is ready to find a forever home where he can continue to grow into the amazing companion he’s meant to be. Originally part of Maddison’s Puppies, Ace (formerly McGuire) came to Furkids from an overcrowded county shelter and was raised in foster care. Now a bit older, his personality is really shining through—he’s a friendly, affectionate boy who does well with everyone he meets. Ace has a moderate to high energy level and enjoys staying active, but he’s also crate trained and mostly housetrained, giving him a great foundation. He already knows commands like sit and jump, and with continued guidance, he’ll keep building on those skills. He can be a little timid in busy or unfamiliar environments, so he’ll benefit from a patient adopter who can continue his socialization and help boost his confidence. Ace also has some GI sensitivity, so he will need a home committed to maintaining a consistent, appropriate diet to keep him feeling his best. Ace has an est. birth date 08/27/2025 and an adoption fee of $315. He has been microchipped, neutered and given all age appropriate vaccines and preventions. Puppies require a lot of time and commitment. Please make sure your schedule can accommodate a puppy as they will be a member of your family for the next 10 to 15 years. If you want to know more about Ace, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. At this time, meeting our dogs is by appointment only. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. Must be at least 21 years of age to adopt.

Story
Looking for a loyal, extra-large, companion to fill your home (and your heart)? Meet Denaly, a 4-year-old, 100-pound, Great Pyrenees with a big heart, a soft spirit, and a serious love for car rides and butt scratches!   Denaly is a classic Pyrenees - calm, affectionate, and happiest when he’s got room to roam. He loves relaxing in the yard (especially when the weather’s cool) and keeping a watchful eye over his “kingdom,” so a home with a 6-foot privacy fence would be ideal.   He enjoys being near his people and would make a wonderful companion for someone who works from home, though he’s equally content snoozing the day away if you head out to work.   Denaly walks beautifully on leash and is eager to please, though he may get a little excited when he spots other dogs. He’s easy to redirect and loves praise and encouragement.   He’s potty trained, knows a few basic commands, and gets along well with most dogs. He loves morning play sessions with one of his foster sisters! With his gentle nature and friendly personality, Denaly is great with respectful kids (12+) and makes fast friends with everyone he meets.   If you’re ready for a loyal, fluffy friend who’ll bring calm energy, love, and laughter into your life, Denaly is waiting to meet you!   An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions.
