Story
Age: 5 months | Breed: Great Pyrenees Mix | Weight: 37 lbs | Sex: Female Looking for a playful pup with a heart of gold? Meet Georgette, a 5-month-old Great Pyrenees mix who’s ready to bring love, snuggles, and puppy energy into her forever home! Georgette is the best of both worlds, full of puppy playfulness when romping around with the other dogs in her foster home, but she also has a serious soft side. After playtime, she loves nothing more than curling up for a cuddle and soaking up all the affection she can get. She’s incredibly social and adores people, whether she’s meeting someone new or cozying up to her favorite human, her tail never stops wagging! This smart girl already seems to be house-trained and is doing great with crate training, too. She’s eager to please and thrives in a loving, structured environment. At about 37 pounds and still growing, Georgette will likely be a large dog once fully grown, perfect for big-dog lovers who enjoy gentle giants! She would do wonderfully in a home with other dogs to play with or as the center of attention for someone who wants a loyal, affectionate companion. While she’s still a puppy and will need continued guidance as she grows, her sweet nature and quick learning, she’ll make it easy. If you’re looking for a loving best friend to grow up with, Georgette might just be your perfect match. Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Story
FRIEDA ~~ Great Pyrenees, Spayed Female, White with Black Smudges, DOB: 4/15/2024, 79 pounds If you are a lover of giant breeds and Great Pyr's, come meet Frieda. She is a super sweet and sometimes shy girl who is a big fan of other dogs, cats, children, toys, swimming in the pool and would love to meet you! LIKES: Other dogs: We recommend a warming up and "getting to know you" phase for new dogs, but Frieda generally does well with other friendly and non-aggressive dogs. Cats: LOVES cats Kids: LOVES kids, even small children FAVORITE ACTIVITIES: Swimming in the pool, playing with toys -- the noisier the better, loves squishmallows (to carry around), going for car rides, ok on leash but may pull when excited, LOVES hugging everyone and we are still working on not jumping up on people COMMANDS: Frieda knows the following commands: sit, paw, other paw, lay down, wait. ALLERGIES/DIET: May be allergic to chicken -- and is currently on a lamb based diet. 4 cups per day. FUN FACT: At meal times, Frieda, has to be told to "wait" and will only start eating with "that'll do." THINGS TO BE AWARE OF: Frieda needs a fenced backyard, as she is an escape artist, like many Pyrs. She will need a tall fence as she is capable of getting over a 4 foot fence. Frieda was recently spayed and microchipped and will be fully recovered by the end of May. She is current on all of her vaccines and vet services and is ready to find her forever home. If you are a huge fan of gentle giant breeds, come meet Frieda and see if she is a perfect match! Her adoption fee is $144 and includes one month of Simparica Trio to go home (for heartworm disease, fleas, ticks, intestinal parasites) and should remain on this preventative once a month for life. Crabapple Knoll Vet Clinic, 12604 Crabapple Road, Alpharetta, GA. 770.475.8272. Monday to Friday 630AM to 7PM, Saturday & Sunday 8AM to 4PM. We are closed on all major holidays. No appointment is needed to meet any of our adoptable strays. Adoptions are on a first come, first served basis. Please visit at least two hours prior to closing.
