Story
We got March from a farm and had decided to keep him as a birthday present for our 3-year old, his name reflecting both when we brought the dog home and the birth month of the toddler. He is 2 years old, and all we are looking for is someone capable of giving him the love and care he deserves. We would describe March as intelligent and playful.

Story
Hutch is an extraordinary Great Pyrenees—wickedly smart, incredibly sweet, and a true gentle giant with an independent streak. He’s the perfect mix of playful and affectionate, always ready to share cuddles while keeping a watchful eye on his surroundings. This social butterfly absolutely loves being with his people and thrives in a home where he can be part of the action. Whether it's lounging with his family or making new friends, Hutch’s cheerful spirit shines wherever he goes! And when we say he’s smart, we mean it—Hutch has mastered the art of scaling a 4-foot chain link fence just to say hello to the world, so a tall wooden privacy fence is highly recommended for his future home. Hutch is working on his leash training and is eaer to please, making him an excellent walking companion for strolls or outdoor adventures. Hutch is up to date on all his vaccines, neutered, and microchipped, meaning he’s healthy, happy, and ready to find his forever family. If you're searching for a loving, intelligent, playful pup who will bring joy and companionship into your life, Hutch is ready to meet you! Come meet Hutch at Dirt Road Doggies Rescue—he’s waiting to steal your heart! ##1991480##

Story
Freya is a sweet girl, but my husband and I both work full time as well as attend college, so her exercise needs are not being met. She has lived with our cat since they were both young, and has lived with dogs as well. She is spayed, and up to date on rabies but not everything else. No pests, she is house broken, and no major behavior issues. Just the occasional counter raid.

Story
Duke is a purebred Great Pyrenees. He is an outside dog. He is bored at our home and needs a farm with a job to do. He is food aggressive with other animals. When food isn’t involved he is fine with others. Loves all humans. My 12 year old sister is his favorite person. Is a digger.. he’s dug holes all over my yard. Isn’t house trained. Only eats dry kibble with water or wet food involved.

Story
I took in Drogon in the spring of 2022 when he was just over 2 years old. He had hotspots and mats all over his body, drainage from his mouth, ears, and eyes. He is now a healthy and thriving boy, but we are now faced with the difficult decision of rehoming him. He is the size of a small adult and has been allowed to free-rome in a fenced in yard. This dog is the epitome of relaxed. He will sit outside, curled up, in the rain and cold before he comes inside. You can brush him all day long and he will sit there and let you. He does really well with bathing. This is not a farm dog- he was never given a job and has never been on a farm. He will 100% eat your chickens. Drogon is a very sweet soul and makes us smile every day.

Story
If you’re looking for a loyal shadow who just wants to be near you, Maddison might be your perfect match. This sweet, docile girl has a calm spirit and gentle expressive eyes that seem to say, “I just want to be loved.” Maddison can be a little anxious in new situations, but with a patient hand and a soft voice, she blossoms. Her favorite thing in the world is simply being by your side — whether that’s resting her head on your knee, nudging your hand for more love, or following you from room to room to make sure she doesn’t miss a moment of your company. Maddison would do best with a family that has a secured back yard, as she loves to bask in the sunshine but is always curious about what else is out there. She would thrive in a calm home where she can relax, feel secure, and be close to her person. She would do well with someone who can give her the reassurance and companionship she craves. If you’re ready for a loving, devoted friend who will remind you every day how special you are, Maddison is waiting to meet you. Maddison currently weighs about 56lbs., is approximately 5 years old (est. birth date 10/15/2020), and her adoption fee is $315. Maddison has been spayed, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. If you want to know more about Maddison, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet.
