If you know Great Pyrenees, then you know they are all of the above, if not more. Argus can be a real sweetheart with the people he knows but he does need time if he doesn't know you. Argus loves to be outside in any kind of weather and loves long walks and loves laying next to his favorite person getting lots of loving. I can't stress enough that he is a very big, very strong boy and it would be advisable if you have had experience with such a breed. Story
Ducky is an 11-month-old Pyrenees mix with a big heart and an even bigger love for life. He’s dog-friendly and enjoys having canine buddies, though his enthusiasm can be a bit much for more laid-back dogs—he’d do best with a tolerant playmate or a family willing to help him polish his social skills. Ducky is very food-motivated, which makes him a great candidate for training and learning new things. He can be slightly apprehensive when meeting new people at first, but he warms up quickly and enjoys attention and affection. Once he knows you, he’s all about the pets and love. He’s also a fan of toys and chew items, especially nylabones, which kept him happily occupied during some downtime. If you’re looking for a young, playful, and loving dog with lots of potential, Ducky might be the perfect addition to your family If interested please visit odas.org/canine and someone will contact you to schedule your visit.

Story
Lola is a playful, friendly, and active pup with a big personality and an even bigger love for fun! She is happiest when busy chewing on her toys or proudly 'redecorating' her stuffies, so durable, hard toys are a must for this energetic girl. Lola enjoys her meals and special treats and does best with supervised mealtimes and continued positive, reward-based training to help her shine. She is selective with her dog friends, not a fan of cats, and does best with older kids who can match her energy and respect her space. The perfect home for Lola would be one that embraces her playful spirit and enjoys an active, engaging companion. She will thrive with adopters who can provide structure, consistency, and fun enrichment like walks, playtime, and training games. Lola would love to be the star of the show in a home with patient humans who understand her boundaries and cheer her on as she continues to learn and grow.Lola is ready and waiting to bring joy, laughter, and lots of tail wags to a loving home that is ready for her vibrant personality!Lola is one year old and weighs 61 pounds. The adoption fee for adult dogs, seven months and older, is $250. All pets are microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and will be altered prior to adoption. If you are interested in meeting a dog, please stop by the shelter during open hours. Dogs may be in a foster home, therefore scheduling an appointment is recommended. If you have an existing dog at home, we recommend bringing it along to meet your possible new family member.helpingstrays.org

Story
We adopted Odin in March 2022, when he was estimated to be about one year old. Odin is a sweet, affectionate dog who loves being outside, playing with balls, and getting belly rubs. He enjoys companionship and is very loving with people he trusts. When Odin joined our family, we already had a small dog and two cats, and he has always gotten along well with them. He does, however, have some behavioral challenges. Odin can be timid and anxious, especially around unfamiliar people and animals. He struggles with new people entering his space too quickly and may react defensively when overwhelmed, though he is not aggressive by nature. Odin has some resource-guarding tendencies too, mainly with food, which we manage by feeding him in his crate. He can also be possessive of attention around other animals. With the recent addition of a toddler to our home, there have been a few close-call situations, and we feel it is in Odin’s best interest to be rehomed.

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🐾🌞 Meet JoeJoe — Your Future Adventure Buddy with a Golden Smile 🌞🐾 JoeJoe is a 3-year-old Golden Pyrenees mix, weighing in at 52 pounds, and he’s pure sunshine wrapped in fur. Friendly, playful, and always up for a good time, JoeJoe is the kind of dog who makes every day feel like an adventure — even if that adventure is just a walk around the block. He’s great with other dogs, loves people, and walks nicely on leash. JoeJoe has that classic Pyrenees charm: sweet, loyal, a little goofy, and full of heart. He loves toys, enjoys playtime, and would make an amazing hiking or adventure companion for an active family. 💛 A Little About JoeJoe’s Journey: JoeJoe arrived a bit on the thin side and could definitely use a few extra “groceries,” but he’s doing fantastic! In his foster home, he’s learning all about mealtime routines, sharing with dog siblings, and how to play nicely, and he’s thriving. With good food, structure, and love, he’s quickly becoming a happy, healthy, well-adjusted boy. Now, let’s talk honesty — JoeJoe has a bit of an adventurous spirit. He’s been known to test boundaries, so he’ll need a secure, tall fence and limited unsupervised yard time. Think of him less as an escape artist and more as a curious explorer who just needs the right setup. 😉 Cats are currently unknown, but a cat test can be arranged if needed. He was tested and did great!!! 🐕 JoeJoe’s Highlights: ✅ 3 years old | 52 lbs ✅ Friendly with people and other dogs ✅ Walks well on leash ✅ Playful, affectionate, and toy-loving ✅ Learning great manners in foster care ✅ Would thrive with an active family ✅ Needs a secure yard JoeJoe is the kind of dog who will happily tag along on your adventures and then crash beside you afterward with a big, satisfied sigh. He’s ready for a home that will keep him active, loved, and part of the family. ✨ Apply today at haydudeequine.org and get ready for a lifetime of fun with JoeJoe! 🐾💛

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 💙🌊 Meet Glacier — Your Loyal Adventure Buddy with a Heart of Gold 🌊💙 (11 Months • 50 lbs • Male • Professional Best Friend) Some dogs are fun. Some dogs are sweet. And then there’s Glacier — the kind of dog who makes you stop and think, “How has he been waiting this long?” At just 11 months old and 50 pounds, Glacier is that magical in-between size: big enough for real adventures, small enough to fit perfectly into your life (and your lap… he tries). He’s playful without being wild, affectionate without being clingy, and calm enough to settle in for end-of-day snuggles like a total pro. 🐾 Glacier’s Greatest Hits: • Fantastic with other dogs — friendly, respectful, and social • Walks beautifully on or off leash, always checking in and staying close to his person • Loves the water — rivers, splashes, wading like a happy little otter • Playful during the day, snuggly and chill at night (the best combo) • Deeply affectionate — the kind that leans into you like you’re his safe place His favorite walks at the ranch? Heading down to the river, where he can explore, splash, and soak up life at his own peaceful pace. Glacier doesn’t need chaos to be happy — he just wants his person, a little adventure, and a lot of love. What really tugs at the heartstrings is that Glacier has spent far too much of his puppyhood in rescue. While he’s stayed gentle, trusting, and joyful, it’s time he finally gets to know what it means to belong — a couch that’s his, people who are his, and a life that’s more than just waiting. He would be an absolute dream for an outdoorsy person or family — someone who loves walks, nature, water, and coming home to a dog who’s equally excited to cuddle up and call it a day. If you’re ready for a loyal companion who will walk beside you, splash beside you, and snuggle beside you — always staying close… 👉 Apply today at haydudeequine.org — Glacier is more than ready to be someone’s forever. 🐾💙
