Story
We have two 10 month old Great Pyrenees. Loving, but bored. They break the fence often. I think they need some land and something they can watch over. They are so smart. They have all there shots and need to stay together cause they always have been. They are not neutered. They aren’t not suppose to be until 18 month. So we have waited.

Story
Bear was rescued from life outside living on a chain all day and night. He was nearly starved to death and was in need of severe medical attention when he was rescued. He had ear infections in both ears and was only half his weight. Despite this abuse, Bear is very kind and gentle. He has lived with other dogs, cats, and young children and does fine with all of them. He loves to be inside with people. Bear is a big dog but he does not want to be an outside dog, he loves affection and just wants to be loved. He was starved so he loves treats and food. Bear is very calm and never jumps on people. He has been failed by people his whole life and needs a special person to give him a happy ending. Bear was rescued by an animal rescue called Pawportunities and I am fostering him. You can go to their Facebook page to see more of Bear's story. If you'd like to adopt Bear, you can fill out an application on their website, Pawportunities.com. I will help pay his adoption fee.

Story
Olive is a great dog, is a total people person and gets along with cats and small dogs. Larger dogs she will need to be integrated with but she does warm up. She is kennel trained and comes with her current kennel. She is in great health and has no food sensitivities. She comes from a very loving household but unfortunately due to us moving she can not come with us. She would be a great family home dog, she is used to the indoors so she is not a working dog for farms despite her breed.

Story
Eclair was found injured on the side of the road. No owner was ever found, but several people admitted seeing her roaming along the road for a couple of weeks. It was frigid and water sources were limited. Eclair was dehydrated, weak, thin, and had an injury on her hind leg when she was finally spotted and caught by someone who cared. Eclair has some food aggression towards other dogs. We haven't seen this directed towards us (people) but she will growl at another dog when she's got food around. Feed her separately and with children I'd be cautious.Eclair is very timid. She's unsure of new places, won't walk on a leash, and her method of handling scary things is just giving up and hoping things all go away. She's going to need kindness and consistency to begin to build her confidence up. The good news is she actually LOVES people. She's a total clown, does little hops, and play bows and will come up for pets...in a space she feels safe in. She was good in my car for the ride here, no car sickness and stayed in the back seat. She is estimated to be 6-8 months old and was underweight at 60 pounds. She's a big fluffy girl! At Autumn Acres Animal Rescue we believe each individual animal matters. We take in special cases some of which will stay with us as a sanctuary dog.If the animal is listed as a Socially Imperfect Dog this means they have special needs and special requirements for potential adopters. If the animal is listed as a Socially Imperfect RESIDENT this animal is NOT available for adoption and is one of our sanctuary residents. We list them on our sites because they still matter and they still need donations to help with their long term care.Check out our website for more information: http://www.autumnacres.org

Story
Elsa is an extremely sweet girl who has been a fantastic member of our family. She was raised in an in-home preschool and is incredible around kids. She loves to play with her sister, a golden doodle and has never had any issues with her. Unfortunately right around the time her breed traits started to develop, my wife was recovering from a hip surgery and I broke my leg/dislocated my ankle. We have not been able to properly control her barking or independent desire to stay in the backyard. If it weren’t for our injuries we’d be able to properly train her and keep the breed traits under control, but we can’t. She will make an incredible companion for anyone who wants lots of love and cuddles and a pet who will always be vigilant protecting their home, or for someone who has land/livestock.

Story
There’s a new DUDE in town, and his name is “Coop-Dog”. 😎 Ok, his name is really Coop, but he has enough swagger to pull off Coop-Dog. So, what makes this boy “swag”? Keep reading. Coop is a 4-year-old Great Pyrenees who currently lives in a foster home with five dogs, three cats, two kids, AND chickens! How’s that for well socialized? He is housetrained and knows how to “sit” and “down” when asked. This cool guy is fine on a leash, but he would prefer exploring his surroundings on his own. He has energy to burn, and he will need plenty of opportunities to expend it. Toys? He can take them or leave them, but make sure those shoes are put up; that is his “toy” of choice. Coop doesn’t seem to think rules are made for him. Hehe Coop is a handsome guy, and he knows it, so he will shed his coat quite a bit to make room for his stunning new fur. He is loving and sweet, but he can get “pushy” when he wants to go somewhere. He will push his way through. We call it pushy, he calls it swaggy. He can jump 4-foot-tall fences, so ensure you have a taller and secure fence, so he doesn’t go on an unsupervised walkabout. Coop is neutered, microchipped, current on vaccinations and flea/tick/heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is $175. You can apply to meet him at PawsitiveTailsKC.org. Once approved, a meet-and-greet will be scheduled. 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤 APPLY @ PawsitiveTailsKC.org 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤 Coop-Dog is too cool to wait, so hurry and get that application completed. Coop OUT! ✌️

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Linny has come a long way! Initially, Linny did not like other dogs, but she now loves all 4 of the other dogs she is currently living with.  She would be lonely if she didn't have any dogs in her future home. Linny was moved into the house to recover from her spay, and since she's been inside, she's had no accidents!  She is finally starting to discover her puppy side, and loves to play with her foster siblings.  She has lots of energy and loves to go on walks and run around. Linny is a very sweet dog, and if we had any room, we would keep her in a heartbeat. She needs a family to give her lots of love and belly rubs.
