This magnificent boy has mastered the art of being both impressively large and incredibly gentle, making him the perfect example of why Pyrenees are known as gentle giants. What makes Thor truly special is his love for people and his playful spirit that shines through in everything he does. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bolt is waiting patiently for his forever home! Bolt is a 5 1/2 year old Great Pyrenees-Catahoula leopard dog mix. Bolt is a sweet and loyal companion, enjoys being in the yard when his foster mom gardens, and loves pets and attention. Bolt has a serious side, he barks when he perceives a threat (the UPS truck, mailman, etc) and a silly side, finding all sorts of random things to play with-he’d rather forage something around the house and cares less about dog toys. Bolt is super helpful around the house, he loves to help load the dishwasher, clean off the counters, and helps with the laundry by dragging clothes and towels from the laundry room outside in the rain, lol, he’s all about conservation! His new family should be sturdy as he can get spunky and want to play while doing zoomies around his people. He would love his own person/people to reciprocate his loyalty, someone who likes to relax and also find adventure. If you are looking for your “ride or die” dog, that’s Bolt, he is smart and eager to please. Bolt could get along with a female dog but would prefer to eat alone. Bolt is being fostered in Tacoma, WA and can be transported within WA and OR . All our dogs require secure VISIBLE fencing. All current pets in adoptive home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations.  Adoption Fee: $175 All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  A note from Duke:  Hey there, I'm Duke!  A soft, loyal, slightly goofy guy looking for my forever home.  I'm happiest when I get to run, dig cozy holes to nap in, or go on sniffing adventures (my nose leads the way!).  I'm a bit of a climber too-fences don't slow me down much-so I'll need a safe, secure space to keep my exploring paws where they belong. I love food, toys, and finding the squeaker in every toy I meet.  Snacks and playtime are my two favorite things!  I also know basic commands and I'm a really good listener when you talk to me kindly-I'll even roll right over for belly rubs.  I get along great with dogs of all sizes (except one unneutered male who just rubbed me the wrong way) and I'm cat friendly too.  The truth is, I'm a gentle soul.  I get a little scared when voices are raised or there's sudden movement,  so I'd do best with someone who has a calm, patient energy. Leash walks are fun-unless there's something really interesting to smell, then I might tug a bit.  My fur is super soft, but when I get muddy (which I love), the dirt mysteriously ends up on the floor once it dries...can't imagine how that happens?!  Oh, and one more thing, I don't like the color red.  Don't ask me why, I just don't trust it.  If you've got a farm or plenty of room to roam, I'd be the happiest boy by your side.  I've got a big heart, a playful spirit, and I'm ready to love my person forever.  Love, Duke. Duke is in Snohomish and can be available within WA-OR. All our dogs require secure VISIBLE fencing. All current pets in adoptive home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations.  Adoption Fee: $275 All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations.  Adoption applications can be found on our website: www.greatpyrsandpaws.org https://greatpyrsandpaws.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=5959    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 27, 2025, 9:09 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hello!  I'm Elton.  Foster dad calls me Elton John, but foster mom calls me Elton Cheese and Crackers since I LOVE cheese!  I have to tell you that I had a pretty rough start in life, but now I'm in my foster home and I'm gaining confidence and learning how to be a dog! My foster parents tell me that I'm doing so good and learn very quickly.  They're impressed at how I've progressed since they brought me into the rescue. I do although still need someone with the time and patience to continue working with me. I am crate trained, potty trained, walk well on a leash, and get along famously with my dog brother.  My foster parents are currently working with me on come here and sit.  I am currently not too treat motivated by foster mom keeps buying me all sorts of tasty snacks to encourage training.  I've also just learned how fun it is to have a Kong toy to play with!  Especially when they're filled with Cheerios! I have ridden in a vehicle and feel confident enough to jump out on my own but still need help getting in. We're continuing to work on this.  I also love sleeping on my dog beds.  I will need another playful medium to large dog in the home to help me continue enjoying all the things about being a dog. I'll admit that I don't even know yet how to play with a tug or squeaky toy. It makes foster mom sad. I love zooming around the backyard with my foster parents who play with me since my dog brother is 15 and just wants to sniff when outside.  Talking about outside, I LOVE being outside!  I find a spot by our big pine tree and sit and sniff the air when I'm not zooming.  I even hang out on the deck.   I will be shy when I first meet you but it's nothing personal. I was not socialized for the first 10 months of my life. Foster parents are working on this with me too.  I meet people on our walks and am not afraid of them.  I hope you'd like to make me part of your family, I'm so excited to get to do all sorts of great dog things as I grow up!  All our dogs require secure VISIBLE fencing. All current pets in adoptive home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations.  We do not adopt to families with children under the age of 6.  Adoption Fee: $275 All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations.
