Story
I rescued him from a shelter in 2018 when I was single, and he quickly became my constant companion. We lived a very active lifestyle together—walks, hikes, runs, and lots of camping—and he truly thrived being involved in everything I did. He is a loyal, loving dog who does best as the main focus in the home. He has been great with our kids and is gentle with them, but he does need consistent attention and engagement from his people. He has a nice balance of being calm at home while still having plenty of energy for outdoor adventures. He loves being outside and is happiest when he’s active. He is very loyal and naturally protective of his people. He does well with familiar dogs once friendships are established but does not enjoy dog parks due to overstimulation and does best with calm, respectful canine interactions. Since having children, my husband and I no longer have the time or capacity to give him the level of activity and attention he deserves. This decision comes from love

Story
This sweet girl is 2 years old and will be 3 in May. She has her rabies shot and was recently spayed. She is a loving, gentle dog who just needs a little time to get comfortable in new situations. She loves swimming, enjoys tug-of-war, and prefers playing with other dogs over fetch. She’s affectionate and enjoys cuddling She can be vocal or timid when meeting new people and will bark at strangers at first, but once she is familiar with you, she relaxes and shows her sweet personality. She is house trained. Not crate trained but sleeps on her bed or the floor at night. She does well in the car and will either look out the window or nap on longer rides. She is good with other dogs and knows sit, lay down, and comes when called. Her name is Mia, but she also responds to Bear, which can be helpful if there is another dog with a similar name. She will come with a small bag of food, her dog bed, and her harness, leash and toys

Phoebe is a beautiful dog - look at that gorgeous tail. Its white tip reaches almost to the ground when she is standing on those long legs! She is very gentle and all around curious. The first thing to know about Phoebe is she loves cookies - dog cookies, of course. She will come running at the mere mention of a cookie reward. Sounds like a perfect dog? She is quite wonderful, sweet - and of course, beautiful. Phoebe's adoption fee includes her spay, FHO surgery, age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormers, microchip, and a free wellness exam from a participating veterinarian.
