Story
Meet Indie, a beautiful 6-year-old female Great Pyrenees looking for a new home in the Draper/Salt Lake City, Utah area.Indie is about 100 lbs, spayed, house trained, and good with children. She has been primarily an indoor family dog but also loves spending time outside in the backyard. She is a classic Great Pyrenees—big, loyal, protective, and very interested in what is going on around her. Because of her size and enthusiasm, though, she can be intimidating to people who are not used to large dogs.We are rehoming Indie because there have been a few occasions where she has managed to get out of our fenced backyard. When she sees people walking dogs nearby, she can become very excited and run toward them. She has not bitten anyone, but because she is a large dog, this has understandably scared people.Indie would do best with someone who understands Great Pyrenees or other large guardian breeds and who can provide a secure yard and management around other dogs.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. When we saw so many dogs in need, over 100 Pyrs in a hoarding case in NM, we wanted to help. Apollo was the worst case of Lupus out of the boys. Had lived on a chain his whole life. This beautiful, sweet and gentle boy has been in his foster home for several weeks now and has made so much progress! His foster family has learned so much about him.  Apollo is a quiet, for a Pyr, gentle soul. He definitely prefers women, his foster mom is his favorite and who he is the most comfortable around. Other family members are ok but she is the one who gets the snuggles and loves! Apollo lives next door to several neighbor dogs. It has taken him a while to get used to them barking at him, and some he is still afraid of. So this sweet guy needs to be in a home where even the neighbor dogs are friendly towards him.  He is totally house trained, has been from the moment he got to his foster! He is also a dream on a leash! Apollo is respectful around kiddos but they are a bit overwhelming for him. So a home with older kiddos or none would be preferred.  He also really might enjoy a nice, calm, confident female doggo to play with. He's had a couple of play dates and he's really come out of his shell! Apollo needs a patient forever home, where he can continue to progress at his own pace, with a family who understands dogs from hoarding situations can take time.  Apollo is being fostered in Utah.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 11, 2026, 1:51 pm
