Nousha is a Havanese/Shih Tzu puppy and the perfect mix of fun. She is spunky and easygoing 💕 She’s got just enough playful energy to keep things entertaining, but she’s equally happy to kick back and relax right by your side. This sweet girl loves a good cuddle nap and would much rather spend her day hanging out with her people than being off on her own. If she feels like she’s had a little too much alone time, she’ll let you know—but the moment she realizes you’re nearby, her whole world lights up again. Nousha enjoys chasing after little balls and is always up for some light playtime, but she’s just as content settling in on the couch with a favorite chew. She’s the kind of companion who fits seamlessly into your day—whether you’re out and about or just lounging at home. She sleeps with sister in a dark laundry room with their bed and puppy calming music playing. She naps during the day in the pen or on the couch with her people. She is learning about potty training, but she has peed/pooped outside. At night, she can hold her poop but has pee accidents. During the day, she is taken out every 1-2 hours. She doesn't love being left alone in her playpen or in a room by herself, but she will settle with time. She is good with other dogs, with children, and in a car. -----

A Quick but Important Note to All Adopters:
Please remember that none of our dogs arrive fully trained. Most come from tough or uncertain beginnings and may have never lived in a home or known basic routines. That means:

✧ They are not potty trained on arrival. Most dogs regress in potty training when moving to a new environment.

✧ They may lack basic manners (like leash walking or appropriate chewing).

✧ They’re learning, growing, and doing their best—but they will need patience, structure, and compassion to succeed.

The majority of these pups have lived in the confinement of a cage or kennel run for most - if not all - of their lives. Because of this, we strongly discourage the use of crates for anything other than vehicle transport. They deserve the chance to decompress and learn what true freedom and comfort feel like.

Our amazing foster homes work hard to start these dogs on the right path, but they are rescues, not finished products. These dogs need time, consistency, and a loving home willing to meet them where they are.

Also, breed designations are our best guesses based on appearance and behavior. We can't guarantee breed, size, adult weight, or coat type.
