Chocolate once had a home but we cannot say it was a loving one. Chocolate was dumped by her owner because they allowed a massive mass the size of a baseball to get bigger on her stomach and did not want to treat her so they abandoned her as if she was rubbish. It is also believed that they had kept her caged for a very long period of time. Working with one of our truly devoted, dedicated and absolutely outstanding Chinese rescuers she rescued Chocolate and gave her the chance to have a wonderful life. The mass was removed along with the full chain & the mass was tested & it was benign. We believe every sweet soul such as Chocolate and her friends deserves to be loved and cherished and given the chance to have a wonderful life. Now Chocolate is looking for a special family to cherish her and be patient with her and remember what this beautiful soul has been through and a family that meets all her needs. Chocolate was rescued by our truly amazing Chinese rescue friends and just as always we are beyond grateful to the Chinese rescue who we are so extremely thankful for what they do day in and day out for these babies, we cannot thank them enough. Chocolate was bought back to the USA where she is now a US citizen and is so happy to be here & can’t wait to find her new loving devoted forever home. Chocolate deserves nothing but the best. She is so unique in the fact she will go do her own thing but then loves dogs at the same time and it’s just whatever she wants to do. She is the most beautiful soul and loves hard when people love her. She now sits there and stares at her foster mum with so much love. She knows her world is so very different. Her foster mum said she is such a good girl and up for anything and comes when she calls her and gets so excited at times, ie when it’s time to get up, dinner time, going for adventures. Sometimes she can be the fun police her foster mum said if a dog is doing something they shouldn’t be and she will let them know. Originally with her original rescuers they let us know she would only eat meat and nothing else. Since day one with us, she had devoured her homemade food and is absolutely obsessed with it. She radiates gratitude. She just wants you to love her and she will love you back. She adores being hugged and held because the reality is we are the first real people in her life to show her such true love and affection. She is a really smart girl too because on the day of arrival in her foster home she taught herself to run up hardwood stairs and follow her foster mum. She will also let you know when she wants something. When she finds people who love her they become her world. She is a loving girl who gets so excited every time she sees her foster mum along with her foster dad. She loves to run and play with her foster siblings and must go to a home with another dog who will be company for her. She loves a good outfit and will get ready for you to put one on her. Chocolate eats a clean diet, meaning raw fruits, raw vegetables, 70 % raw proteins, grains, fats and supplements. She also enjoys collagen sticks and bully sticks. All of her treats are homemade and Chocolate has put on weight since being in her loving foster home and eating this way. Chocolate has been taught to walk on harness & leash & has been doing wonderful. She would need continued work walking on her harness & leash. Chocolate is a rescue & will need patience, time & understanding. Chocolate adores being pampered & doesn’t want you to stop when brushing him, cleaning his eyes, grooming her, baths, the hairdryer she loves it all. She also does extremely well being touched in general & adores receiving love. Having toys & a warm bed is all new to Chocolate & we have been excited to change her world with the introduction of toys & lots of love & affection & a loving environment. So far she has not started showing interest in toys in her foster home. Chocolate has learnt to ride in the car and does well in the car and enjoys a good car ride. She is such an amazing, loving little lady. With Chocolate we are only looking for a crate free home for this lovely little lad only. Please do not apply with the intent to crate this girl. We are also looking for a forever home for Chocolate where someone is home during the day or Chocolate can go with her people wherever possibly she can go with them. Chocolate is looking for a forever home who will cherish her and love her as she should be loved and be very patient with her and understanding. Chocolate has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes and sizes and she is currently with other dogs and enjoys their company in her loving foster home. She can be found at times snuggled up to her foster siblings and will want to sleep in bed with you and she does in her current loving foster home. A fully fenced backyard is mandatory for Chocolate’s new forever home if it’s a free standing home. Chocolate is now roughly 14 lbs & 5 years old. She is spayed and perhaps a havapoo and what she is mixed with we are not sure? She is microchipped, up to date on her shots including DHLPP, rabies & dewormed. She has a grade 4/6 heart murmur but just had a full dental with no problems. We believe her original owner kept her in cage as she has been building a lot more muscle since being in the rescue. She had the mass removed along with the full chain and the mass was tested and it was benign. Once these shots expire we will not redo them except rabies as we will not over vaccinate our beloved dogs. We have spent over $2000 on Chocolate with bringing her to the US with her travel airfare paying for her medical care, including, shots, spay microchip etc, than her adoption fee comes close to covering. Chocolate has not been around cats since being in the rescue but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals. We have not had Chocolate with small children so we do not recommend children, but it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & animals. We were not there when Chocolate was conceived so we do not know who her parents were and it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures and decide what they think her breed is. As with all of our rescues and Chocolate’s friends she will need work on potty training and training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life and that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Chocolate potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through and what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them and if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training and not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Chocolate and going through our process and have read her listing fully to the end and are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on and remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview and a virtual home visit using Zoom followed by a meet and greet and if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Chocolate who understands her needs and that meet all the requirements for this lovely sweet lady. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives and please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. Chocolate has an adoption fee of $885 & is ready for her truly loving forever home and compassion and understanding of what she has been through.

Bella has not been around cats since being in the rescue but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals. We have not had Bella with small children so we do not recommend children, but it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & animals. We were not there when Bella was conceived so we do not know who her parents were and it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures and decide what they think her breed is. As with all of our rescues and Bella’s friends she will need work on potty training and training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life and that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Bella potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through and what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them and if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training and not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Bella and going through our process and have read her listing fully to the end and are wanting to adopt. We will only be accepting applications for Ash who understands her needs and that meet all the requirements for this lovely sweet lady. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives and please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. Bella has an adoption fee of $900 & is ready for her truly loving forever home and compassion and understanding of what she has been through.

Story
And fresh off the road from the wide open spaces of the USA - meet Ryder, our Ride or Die pup! Ryder came into the rescue from one of our rescue partners who were unable to add him to their crew, so they asked us! Ryder is making his way back to the Seattle area now, will be neutered this week and is so ready for his forever home. Ryder is a Havanesse Shihtzu mix - or Hava-Shih, and was a treasured family member, but unfortunately, his family is no longer able to keep him. Ryder has great potty manners and loves nothing more than to ride along cuddled up with you. Ryder is current on vaccinations, and will be neutered and Microchipped included in his adoption donation.

Story
Oliver is just the sweetest little boy! We can tell life hasn't been the best for this sweet shy pup up to now, but we can change all that! Oliver came into the rescue with his "brother" Charles, and initially they relied on each other for comfort and protection. Now in foster care, both pups are blossoming! Oliver was said to be a Long Haired Chihuahua - oh, hahaha!!....so we asked the experts and our vets office thinks he is a hava-poo! Who knows but his pretty white coat and buff on his ears makes him a handsome little fella. Oliver has seen our vet this week for vaccinations and Microchip and will be neutered mid July. He can go to his forever home now and return for his neuter appointment - no need to wait for this little man to join your family!

Story
Meet Grace! This little cutie pie is around 7-8 months old and she is just darling. We're not sure exactly what her breed mix is. She looks like a Havanese mixed with some other mystery breeds. She is fluffy, medium is size and super fun.  Grace was nervous when she first arrived with us. She was found behind a dumpster so clearly her early life was not great. We kept her in her foster home for some time to help her gain confidence and decompress. She is doing wonderfully. She is a friendly girl with all people and gets along well with other dogs. She needs a bit of training in the basics, but that is to be expected in a puppy. She's working on leash training and can be a bit reactive - nothing too terrible and mostly driven by her lack of confidence out in the real world. She is learning quickly and does very well with some good guidance.  Grace needs a home with a yard. Another dog in the home will be best for her - a confident friend who will continue to set a good example for her. She will do best in a home without young children. Kids over 10 are ok. Grace is vaccinated and microchipped, and will be spayed as part of her adoption fee when she is between 8-12 months. Her adoption fee is $525 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon! Story
Bas is a marshmallow with legs (his foster's words) and is basically impossible not to love. He's relaxed, patient, and has a silky coat and sweet face that make everyone swoon on contact. He loves playtime and is very into chasing a ball and chewing a bone, but is easily calmed down and happiest napping after a good session. He's patient with kids and even gives other dogs space to approach him at their own pace. A true gem! Potty training is going well: he goes every time he's taken outside and is making progress on preferring outside to inside, though his bladder is still small enough that there are some small accidents. It's a work in progress but for a marshmallow, he’s doing remarkably well. If you need a sweet, tiny treat in your life, Bas just may be your guy! -----

A Quick but Important Note to All Adopters:
Please remember that none of our dogs arrive fully trained. Most come from tough or uncertain beginnings and may have never lived in a home or known basic routines. That means:

✧ They are not potty trained on arrival. Most dogs regress in potty training when moving to a new environment.

✧ They may lack basic manners (like leash walking or appropriate chewing).

✧ They’re learning, growing, and doing their best—but they will need patience, structure, and compassion to succeed.

The majority of these pups have lived in the confinement of a cage or kennel run for most - if not all - of their lives. Because of this, we strongly discourage the use of crates for anything other than vehicle transport. They deserve the chance to decompress and learn what true freedom and comfort feel like.

Our amazing foster homes work hard to start these dogs on the right path, but they are rescues, not finished products. These dogs need time, consistency, and a loving home willing to meet them where they are.

Also, breed designations are our best guesses based on appearance and behavior. We can't guarantee breed, size, adult weight, or coat type.

These pups are in Renton, Washington too!

The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Zelle, PayPal, if using PayPal the potential adopter will have to pay the fees & charges with PayPal. Coco has seen & witnessed evil in life. She was pulled out of a slaughterhouse with several of our other rescues. Soul destroying to think of what she has been through & yet she still loves human beings even after everything she has seen, heard & her previous life. We cannot even begin to imagine what Coco witnessed & heard when she was at the slaughterhouse. How Coco ended up in a slaughterhouse for human consumption & yes you did read that correctly, we will never know? What we do know is, she was pulled out of there by our outstanding Chinese rescuer just in time. Working with one of our truly devoted, dedicated & absolutely outstanding Chinese rescuers she rescued Coco & many others for us. Without this beloved rescuer going in & getting Coco out, her fate was a torturous death. We believe every sweet soul such as Coco & her friends deserves to be loved & cherished & given the chance to have a wonderful life. Now Coco is looking for a special family to cherish her & be patient with her & remember what this beautiful soul has been through & a family that meets all her needs. Coco was rescued by our truly amazing Chinese rescue friends & just as always we are beyond grateful to the Chinese rescue who we are so extremely thankful for what they do day in & day out for these babies, we cannot thank them enough. Coco was bought back to the USA where she is now a US citizen & is so happy to be here & can’t wait to find her new loving devoted forever home. For everything that Coco has been through she still loves humans & will get on her back for you to rub her belly, she loves her belly to be rubbed. She will even put her paws on you for cuddles just as she cuddles into you while sleeping next to you. She is the most beautiful soul & up for an adventure. She just wants you to love her & she will love you back. She adores being hugged & held because the reality is we are the first real people in her life to show her such true love & affection apart for a very short amount of time in China. She is a really smart girl too because on the day of arrival in her foster home she taught herself to run up hardwood stairs & follow her foster mum. When she finds people who love her they become his world. She is such a soft gentle soul her foster mum said with a very sweet personality. She loves to run & play with her foster siblings & must go to a home with another dog who will play with her. She loves a good outfit & will get ready for you to put one on her. Coco eats a clean diet, meaning raw fruits, raw vegetables, 70 % raw proteins, grains, fats & supplements. She also enjoys collagen sticks & bully sticks. All of her treats are homemade Coco has been taught to walk on harness & leash & has been doing wonderful. She would need continued work walking on her harness & leash. Coco is a rescue & will need patience, time & understanding. Coco adores being pampered & doesn’t want you to stop when brushing him, cleaning his eyes, grooming her, baths, the hairdryer she loves it all. She also does extremely well being touched in general & adores receiving love. Having toys & a warm bed is all new to Coco & we have been excited to change her world with the introduction of toys & lots of love & affection & a loving environment. So far she has not started showing interest in toys in her foster home. Coco has learnt to ride in the car & does well in the car & enjoys a good car ride. She is such an amazing, loving little lady. With Coco we are only looking for a crate free home for this lovely little lad only. Please do not apply with the intent to crate this girl. We are also looking for a forever home for Coco where someone is home during the day or Coco can go with her people wherever possibly she can go with them. Did we mention this girl loves a good outfit too. Coco is looking for a forever home who will cherish her & love her as she should be loved & be very patient with her & understanding. Coco has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & she is currently with other dogs & enjoys their company. She can be found at times snuggled up to her foster siblings & will want to sleep in bed with you & she does in her current loving foster home. She must go to a forever home with other playful dogs in the home. She will jump at the side of the bed to be picked up so she can get in. A fully fenced backyard is mandatory for Coco’s new forever home if it’s a free standing home. Coco is now roughly 15 lbs & 3 years old. She is spayed & possibly a bichon frise & what she is mixed with we are not sure? She is microchipped, up to date on her shots including DHLPP, rabies & dewormed. Lola/Molly was listed on line as needing help here in WA as her original owner had to go to an assisted living facility. No one in her family wanted to help Lola so a friend volunteered to find her somewhere to go. Lola was originally a matted smelly mess and was groomed. We found out she was not spayed, needed medically everything & she had, had several liters. We rescued this little lady & she is flourishing in her foster home & had all of her medical taken care of & now gets to enjoy constant friendship with other dogs and a backyard to run around in. We believe every sweet soul such as Lola and her friends deserves to be loved and cherished and given the chance to have a wonderful life. Now Lola is looking for a special family to cherish her and be patient with her and remember what this beautiful soul has been through and a family that meets all her needs. Her foster mum said she is such a good girl and up for anything and comes when she calls her and gets so excited at times, ie when it’s time to get up, dinner time, going for adventures. She radiates gratitude. She just wants you to love her and she will love you back. She adores being hugged and held & is constantly with one of her foster mums. She also enjoys belly rubs. The oh so beautiful inside & out Jesse, whose picture screamed the disgusting neglect he was in, in a death camp of a scary shelter in CA. He looked absolutely defeated & plain sick & we knew he as deathly ill with pneumonia. He was posted online on social media begging for his life to be saved. The shelter was sending out pleas for a rescue to help him or he was going to be euthanized. The shelter said he was a sweetheart but still no one came to save him. The reality is that when a dog is posted with pneumonia rescues know it’s going to cost a fortune & may financially break them & they still may not survive. We finally were able to get Jesse out with a lot of back & forth with the shelter & once we did it was determined immediately that Jesse was the biggest sweetheart ever. We did determine though that he was extremely ill & may not survive. He stunk & was matted badly. His foster mum took him to get a bath as his fur was so stained all over. We had him booked into our vets but had to rush him in immediately to another vet as he was not doing well & we were frightened with his breathing & it was determined that he need meds, fluids etc until he could get the care from our regular vet. Once our regular vet was open Jesse was admitted immediately for 5 days straight to save his life. If we did not rescue Jesse the pneumonia alone would have killed him in the shelter. After we rescued Jesse, he is coming back to WA state from CA where he can’t wait to find him his loving forever home. We have hired a wonderful private transporter so Jesse could have one on one time with a married couple who are absolutely obsessed with animals. Along his journey here he gets to be apart of the sites & experience them. The absolute insanity to think this baby doll ended up in one of the highest kill shelters in CA is soul destroying. Jesse just wants to be loved. Disturbing to think no one wanted him & he was ready to die. The level of absolute madness here is so deeply sad for many of these beautiful souls out of CA kill shelters. When we first rescued him, he ate multiple bowls of food as if he is making up for lost time. In his foster home he eats clean. Fruits, vegetables, grains, raw meat & other proteins along with supplements. He also adores a good treat which are homemade. When it’s time to eat he gets very excited & can jump high with enthusiasm. Jesse is a very soft gentle soul, he is so easy his foster mum said considering what he has endured. His foster mum said Jesse is a very sweet dog & loves his humans. He does get excited now & has a big zest for life, love & adventure. This boy will look at you with so much gratitude & admiration. He is so regal while sitting watching you. He also loves to be with his buddies & just lay with them or do whatever they are doing. She said he is really such a good & smart boy. He loves everyone he meets after he knows them & enjoys being cuddled & given love. He also enjoys snuggling up on the couch & spend his day relaxing. He enjoys sleeping on the couch & sleeping in bed with you at night. His foster mum still cannot believe someone would be so cruel & neglectful to Jesse. Jesse’s new forever home must have a fully fenced secured backyard. He enjoys going out into the backyard in his foster home & having a wander around & sunning himself. Jesse has been great with his baths because he started having them with us in his loving foster homes the moment he was rescued so he is used to them. He has also started getting used to being dried with a hairdryer. He will stand up & hug him. He has put on a good amount of weight since being in his loving foster home & was so thin when first rescued. Jesse rides beautifully in the car & enjoys a good journey & will sit in his car seat next to you with his dog friends. He also enjoys looking out the window. Jesse is a wonderful walker on his harness & leash & loves going on many walks. We are looking for a forever home for Jesse where someone is home during the day or he can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them. We are also looking for a crate free home for the little lad only. We cannot stress this enough that due to the trauma he experienced at the shelter he must not be put into a crate. He was left in a cage in the shelter until we rescued him. Jesse is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved & be patient with him. Jesse has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & he is currently with other dogs & fostered with other dogs in his foster home & does well with them & enjoys their company. He absolutely needs another dog in his forever home for him to thrive. Jesse is roughly 8 years old & 18 lbs, he is male, & a bichion frise possibly & neutered. He had the major emergency vet visits & emergency hospital stay for 5 days on fluids, intravenous medications, x-rays to save his life with severe pneumonia. We have Jesse just had full major dental scale & polish & had several teeth removed. He still does have teeth left but not many but that most certainly does not stop him eating his food he loves. He is microchipped, up to date on his shots, including DHPP, Bordatella, rabies & dewormed. Once these shots expire we do not redo them only rabies as we do not over vaccinate our beloved dogs. After Jesse’s dental we have spent over $4000 to save this precious boys life. Jesse has not been around cats since being in the rescue but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together. We have not had him around small children in the rescue so we do not recommend children nor cats & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children. We were not there when Jesse was conceived so we do not know who his parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Jesse’s friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Jesse & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit due to covid & followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion.
