Story
Felix is a 2-year-old neutered Husky/Australian Cattle Dog mix who was rescued just hours before euthanasia in Roswell, NM—and he’s been making the most of his second chance ever since. He’s a smart, energetic, food-motivated boy who loves puzzle toys, running, and being part of the action. Felix thrives with structure and active owners who enjoy walks, hikes, or a big yard where he can stretch his legs. He knows basic commands (sit, down, wait) and is eager to learn more. Felix bonds deeply with his people and loves attention. He has done well with similarly sized or confident dogs but has a high prey drive and is not suitable for homes with cats, small dogs, or small animals. He is best suited for an adult-only home or one with older, dog-savvy teens, as he can be sensitive to sudden movements. Felix is ready for a home that understands him and will give him the guidance, activity, and loyalty he deserves.Theresa Meyer ( Foster Mom) Friends of Roswell Animalshttps://forarescue.org

Story
Pinta and her 3 siblings came into the shelter scared and unsure what was going on. Pinta still isn`t sure what`s happening, but she has made great strides during her time here. While she can be nervous with new people, once she`s familiar and comfortable, she is a playful and bouncy girl! She especially loves playing with other dogs, so we feel that having a doggie friend in her new home might help her feel comfortable and make her integration with her human friends smoother.

Meet Shep, he came to the shelter as a stray, but he arrived with plenty of charm and those classic fun-loving husky traits! He’s a smart, playful boy who already knows his basic commands and is potty-trained. He loves to stay active and engaged, especially when toys and water are involved. One of Shep’s most endearing quirks is his adorable bunny hops when he gets excited it’s impossible not to smile watching him! He’s done well with other dogs at the shelter and enjoys social play with his canine friends.Shep is looking for a home that can keep up with his energetic, intelligent nature and give him plenty of enrichment, exercise, and love. If you’re ready for a fun, adventurous companion, Shep is your guy!

Story
This is Jackson! He is about 3 years old. I adopted Jackson from the pound about 6 months ago after he was at risk of being euthanized. He’s good with kids and good with other dogs. I am not sure about cats! I unfortunately cannot give him the time he deserves between working multiple jobs and school. He loves to snuggle in bed, he’s pretty quiet for a husky, it is very rare to get him to talk or bark. He’s a very good boy! He just needs someone/a family to give him the love and attention he deserves!

Story
My name is Odin, and though I may not command the thunder or ride across the sky on an eight&#226&#128&#145legged steed, I do carry a spark of old Nordic magic in my heart. I’m a husky–German shepherd mix with a noble spirit, a loyal soul, and one eye that sees the world a little differently—just like the great All&#226&#128&#145Father himself. Some say that’s how I got my name. Maybe I was born this way, maybe something happened long ago, but it doesn’t slow me down one bit. In fact, I like to think it gives me character… and a touch of myth. My journey began in Yuma, Arizona, where I wandered the mortal realm as a stray. I wasn’t searching for battle or glory—just a place to belong. The kind humans at the shelter took me in, gave me food, safety, and a chance to rest my paws. When no one came to claim me, fate stepped in and carried me north to Central Arizona Animal Rescue. Now I wait here, hopeful and ready, dreaming of the day my forever family appears like a prophecy fulfilled. Let me tell you who I am, from one adventurer to another. I’m a strong, handsome boy with a thick coat, a proud stance, and a heart full of devotion. I love going for walks—truly love it. Every scent on the wind is a story, every tree a message, every path a new quest. If you enjoy exploring the world, I’ll gladly be your companion, trotting beside you with my tail high and my spirit bright. I share my kennel with a lovely female shepherd, and we get along like old friends around a fire. We play, we rest, we keep each other company. I’m good with people too—friendly, social, and eager to bond. I might be a bit much for very small children, not because I mean any harm, but because I’m a big, enthusiastic guy with a lot of energy and heart. A home with space—a yard where I can stretch my legs, sniff the breeze, and feel the sun on my fur—would suit me perfectly. Despite my grand name and heroic lineage, I’m not complicated. I’m neutered, current on all my vaccinations, and microchipped so I’ll never be lost to the realms again. I’m healthy, happy, and ready to start the next chapter of my saga with someone who sees me not as a stray or a mystery, but as a loyal companion waiting to give his whole heart. I imagine a life where we walk together at dusk, where I rest at your feet after a long day, where I watch over your home like a guardian of old. I imagine learning your routines, your voice, your footsteps. I imagine belonging—not to a kingdom, but to a family. If you feel a tug in your chest, a whisper of destiny, a sense that maybe you are the one I’ve been waiting for, then I hope you’ll come meet me. I’ll greet you with a wagging tail, a hopeful gaze, and the quiet strength of a dog who has weathered storms and still believes in love. To set up an appointment to meet me, just send an email to mike@caaronline.org. Perhaps our fates are meant to cross, and perhaps the next great chapter of my story begins with you.   PLEASE e-mail (do not call) mike@caaronline.org for more information and to set up an appointment to adopt. Story
Chico is a 5 year old Siberian husky who is very energetic and in search of his forever home. Chicos previous owner could no longer care for him and I took him in temporarily trying to find him a home. Unfortunately, I travel too much and cannot provide him with the training he needs. Chico needs behavioral training as he struggles with meeting new people but once he warms up to them, he can be social. Chico loves to go on walks/runs and is very active. If you have an active lifestyle this is the dog for you. He also loves to play fetch and loves belly rubs. He is house trained and when he runs out of energy he loves to lounge next to you. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have further questions.

Story
Hello future best friend! My name is Kung Pao (yep, just like the dish—spicy, memorable, and a little bit different!). I’m searching for my forever home, and I think you might be the perfect match! Let me tell you a little bit about my pawsome self. I was picked up as a stray in Gila County back in December, but don’t worry—I’ve bounced back and I’m ready for a new chapter. While I was at animal control, all the staff fell head-over-heels in love with me (not to brag, but I was basically the office favorite). I even went to stay with a family for a while, but I turned out to be a little too big for their tiny toddlers. Oops! If you’re hoping for a companion who’s not bouncing off the walls 24/7, I’m your guy—I’m not one of those high-octane pups who need endless exercise. I’m perfectly content with a few fun romps and some quality playtime, then I’m all about chilling out by your side. I definitely have my playful spurts, but you won’t catch me demanding a marathon every day! Now, I’m looking for a home with someone who appreciates my unique style and silly antics. I’m a very unusual mix—think husky (that’s where I get my dazzling blue eyes!), a splash of brittany spaniel (just look at my soft white-and-tan coat and fancy plume tail!), and maybe a bit of bully breed for my big blocky head and sturdy build. At about 1 ½ years old, I’m just the right age to bring adventure and fun to your life without any of that puppy nonsense. Here are some of my best features: Super sweet personality: I’m friendly, affectionate, and love to make new pals! Staff favorite: Seriously, everyone at Gila County animal control gave me five-paw reviews! Great with other dogs: I love to romp and play with canine buddies. Knows basic commands: Sit, stay, and “look adorable” are all in my repertoire. Neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped: I’m healthy and ready to roll—no surprises here! A few mysteries about me: No one knows where my name came from, but I can totally learn a new one if you pick something you like better! I haven’t met any cats yet, so the jury’s out on that. Maybe we’ll discover together? If you’re looking for a furry friend with a big heart, soulful eyes, and the fluffiest tail around, I just know we’ll make a great team. Want to meet me and see if we’re a match? Send an email to mike@caaronline.org and set up a playdate—we can’t wait to meet you! Wags and wiggles, Kung Pao   PLEASE e-mail (do not call) mike@caaronline.org for more information and to set up an appointment to adopt.
