Story
Felix is a 2-year-old neutered Husky/Australian Cattle Dog mix who was rescued just hours before euthanasia in Roswell, NM—and he’s been making the most of his second chance ever since. He’s a smart, energetic, food-motivated boy who loves puzzle toys, running, and being part of the action. Felix thrives with structure and active owners who enjoy walks, hikes, or a big yard where he can stretch his legs. He knows basic commands (sit, down, wait) and is eager to learn more. Felix bonds deeply with his people and loves attention. He has done well with similarly sized or confident dogs but has a high prey drive and is not suitable for homes with cats, small dogs, or small animals. He is best suited for an adult-only home or one with older, dog-savvy teens, as he can be sensitive to sudden movements. Felix is ready for a home that understands him and will give him the guidance, activity, and loyalty he deserves.Theresa Meyer ( Foster Mom)Friends of Roswell Animalshttps://forarescue.org

Story
Meet Pinta, A Sweet Girl Learning to Come Out of Her Shell! Pinta is a sweet, shy girl who has come such a long way since entering foster care! She may be a little fearful at first, but once she feels safe and comfortable, her personality really starts to shine. Her foster family describes her as playful, bouncy, and eager for connection with the people she trusts. She seeks them out for cuddles, gives the cutest little “woo-woos” when she wants to play, and some mornings they wake up to find her curled up right beside them.Pinta just needs someone who understands that trust takes time. She does best when people meet her where she is—literally! Sit or squat down with her, give her some time, and she`ll come right over for attention. She LOVES other dogs! Pinta currently plays beautifully with her foster family`s three high-energy female Husky mixes. Having a confident, dog-social dog in her forever home would be a wonderful way to help her continue building confidence. She is also: Fully potty trained, Crate trained for up to 4 hours, Comfortable around vacuums, blow dryers, and other household noises, Playful and affectionate once she feels comfortableLeash walking is still a work in progress, and Pinta will soon be working with a trainer. Her forever family will need to be committed to continuing that work and helping her become more confident.Pinta does especially well in a women-led or all-female household. She simply needs time to warm up to new people and will do best with someone who is patient and willing to let her build trust at her own pace.Pinta is looking for: Someone experienced with shy or fearful dogs, A confident, dog-social dog to help her build confidence, An adults-only home, A patient person willing to give her the time she needs to warm up, Someone committed to continuing her training journey,

Meet Shep, he came to the shelter as a stray, but he arrived with plenty of charm and those classic fun-loving husky traits! He’s a smart, playful boy who already knows his basic commands and is potty-trained. He loves to stay active and engaged, especially when toys and water are involved. One of Shep’s most endearing quirks is his adorable bunny hops when he gets excited it’s impossible not to smile watching him! He’s done well with other dogs at the shelter and enjoys social play with his canine friends.Shep is looking for a home that can keep up with his energetic, intelligent nature and give him plenty of enrichment, exercise, and love. Story
Hi! I got Graham from a family friend who had a litter of pups from their dog. I have been taking care of him until he has finished his vaccines. He is fully vaccinated and on track with them. Last visit was 8/14, he’s a healthy pup! Currently eating Purina Pro Plan (Puppy DHA bag). I’m trying to rehome him as I do not have the time and space for a husky :3. Graham is an energetic boy, playful, but also chills often too. Hoping to get him to a great family in at least 3 weeks. The profile says he has to be neutered in 30 days which is not true :), the vet said they suggest at year 1, he’s only 4months. Please reach out if interested! Thanks!

Story
Dolly is an affectionate, playful, almost 1-year-old rescue pup who is friendly with everyone she meets! Because of our busy schedule, Dolly experiences some anxiety and really needs a home with someone who can spend plenty of time with her. She is deaf and has a manageable condition called entropion, which will require surgery. Despite her special needs, she is an incredibly sweet, loving dog who just wants to play and be near her people. If you have the time, love, and care to offer Dolly the stable home she deserves, she will make a wonderful, loyal companion!
