Story
Poor Lishka was literally left at the dump to fend for herself. She appears to be housebroken, learned to use the dog door in two tries, and does very well in a crate. She pulls a little when walking but nothing too difficult to control. The family that found her had LOTS of kids and she was great with all of them as well as the family dogs.

Story
Sweetie Pie was found by one of our volunteers who observed her walking house to house in a neighborhood and seemingly asking, “Are you my family?” at each door. After an extensive search for her owner, it became clear that this beautiful 9 year old girl had been abandoned. We welcomed her into the LTA family with open arms! Sweetie Pie lives up to her name in every way and is as close to perfect as it gets. She loves every person, kid, dog, and especially cat that she meets. She loves to snuggle on a soft dog bed or stretch out on the cool tile and respects that couches and beds are for her humans. She loves to lean in and be near her people and gives the sweetest kisses! Her gait may be a little stiff, and she might be a little “fluffy” around the middle (she is working very hard on that), but she is still up for playing with her foster brothers and prancing around the yard. Sweetie Pie is ready to find the best family who will love her unconditionally and never leave her alone in her golden years. Sweetie’s adoption fee includes full veterinary exam and care, spay, and vaccines. To meet Sweetie Pie, complete an adoption application: https://lovethemallrescue.org/sweetie-pie

Story
In the spring of 2023, Kiska was hit by a car near her home in Alaska. She was completely paralyzed on her back legs, and her family lived over 120 miles from a specialist. With limited resources available and issues with time commitments, her family surrendered her to a rescue that worked with special needs dogs in Chandler, Arizona. Little did they know, they had sent their little girl off into the worst nightmare of a situation. At a time when Kiska desperately needed medical care and treatment, she instead sat in a home with 55 other special needs dogs who had little to no access to food and water, let alone any semblance of attention and love. And because of her hit-by-car accident, Kiska was incontinent, like many of the other animals in the home. Tragically, she [and they] sat in soiled diapers for days on end. Finally discovered one month after Kiska's arrival, the founder of the "rescue" fell under investigation for animal cruelty and neglect by the Chandler Police Department. Kiska and 54 other dogs were pulled from the home and taken into custody by the Arizona Humane Society. Sadly, many dogs were found deceased, and the rest were in horrible conditions. Those who were saved from the hoarding hell-house became known as the Chandler55. Thankfully, Kiska survived the gross neglect, and she was released from the custody of the Arizona Humane Society into the home of one of our volunteers. She received the medical care she needed to get on the proper road to recovery. She improved so much that she even started to walk on her own without her wheelchair! Kiska continues to make daily improvements, and what remains incredibly inspiring is her never-ending happiness, zest for life and pure love that pours from her sweet spirit. Now that Kiska is so stable, healthy and making huge strides by the day, we are looking for a foster-to-adopt home for her -- the forever kind of home that will love, cherish and care for her for all her many years to come. A home that has experience with dogs in wheelchairs and incontinence would be wonderful but is not a requirement as our medical team is confident that Kiska could fully recover from her injuries over time. Kiska is currently in a foster home with other dogs her size and smaller. We believe having other fur siblings will help her rehabilitate faster. She is young, playful and has so much pep in her step. She loves to go on walks and would also love a big backyard to run and roll in. During the foster period, our rescue will cover all continued medical care until we deem her fully ready to be adopted. Her adoption fee will include her completed exams, completed physical therapy, vaccines, microchip and spay. You will also have our ongoing support as we work together to give Kiska the most beautiful second chance at the life she has always deserved! If you would like to be the happy ending to this special girl's journey, please apply here: https://lovethemallrescue.org/kiska-1 We promise she will steal your heart in no time!

Story
Meet Nala! She’s had quite a bumpy journey the first two years of her life, and she’s hoping to find her perfect forever home now. Nala came to us with her mom and two siblings as an 8-week old puppy in 2021 from Clovis, NM. Nala was adopted shortly after joining us and remained with that family for 1.5+yrs. She grew up with other dogs and kids, but somehow still was not socialized well and became extremely fearful when she left the house. She still has quite a bit of lingering anxiety even now. Her family continued to add small pets and Nala, being the largest dog and not well-adjusted, suffered. We had tried to work with them multiple times over the 1.5yrs when we abruptly received a message one night that they would  put Nala down if we did not take her back immediately, giving us less than 24hrs to do so. One of our longtime fosters stepped up and took her back in right away, though she proved to be more of a challenge than we anticipated. This foster family made it work for a while with their other dogs in the home, but ultimately after a lot of time and effort we have determined that Nala truly does need to be the only pet in the home. The biggest behavioral issue that Nala has likely stems from her very understandable fear of abandonment. She honestly just loves her human too much - and when she falls for someone, she falls hard. She doesn’t share attention with other dogs well, and she struggles to trust new people. She doesn't have any major behavioral issues in the home though - she kennels well if you want to kennel her, but she doesn't really need it. She won't destroy your stuff. She really just wants to please! She's a wonderful human companion for the right person - she's looking for someone who doesn't have people over a ton. She's ok with someone who works, but she'd really prefer if the hours aren't too terribly long. She is the most devoted dog you will find who just loves to hike and play fetch with tennis balls. Be ready to share your pillow! She is definitely a cuddle bug. Nala was adopted again very briefly and lived in a home with no other dogs, but with cats - she did ok for the most part, but the adopter did feel wary about her behavior around the cats several times and said she thinks it's best if she is a completely only pet at this point. She was returned due to life changes, moving out of state to reconcile a marriage, on the adopter's part and not due to any failure of Nala in the home - her adopter loved her very much and struggled with this decision but knew she would not integrate well with other dogs in a new state. Nala is unfortunately back in boarding now and she would really even just love a foster home in the meantime while she waits for her forever home. She needs a unicorn home, so obviously this makes her a difficult sell! Please apply if you think you may be the right fit for this sweet girl - we know her human is out there. https://azhuskyrescue.com/adoption-application/

Story
Meet Hudson a handsome 4yr old ready for a new adventure. My previous home had a great big yard for running zoomies and chasing balls. It would be best that my new home does as well. I am a good walker and love to get exercise on a walk or hike, I love to play with rope toys. There is a need for my new home to have some experience with dogs of my size, I am very smart and need that guidance. It would be neccessary for me to meet any other dogs in the home so a good match can be made, a home with no cats is a must. I prefer the company of adult hoomans so no kids under 18 is best. I am a very friendly pooch that loves to hang out and be friends or seek a new adventure. Reach out to meet Hudson at halorescue.org or come in to Petsmarts Everyday Adoption Cener today!

Hello! I'm a handsome Husky looking for my furever home. As a Husky, I am a high-energy dog who enjoys physical exercise and I hope to find someone who also enjoys exercise. Also, I would love to work on my commands to become a good canine citizen. When I'm not playing ball, I enjoy chewing on my dog toys and snoozing in my dog bed. Just Jax Hi! It's just me, Jax. I wish it were me & you though. I'd really like to find someone to love me for always. I'm a good boy. I may be a little rough around the edges but I'm super smart & willing to learn anything you'd like to teach me! Nobody ever really taught me how to be a dog. I'm quite handsome, as you probably already noticed. I've been around other dogs. I prefer calm dogs that are smaller than me & to be honest... I'm a ladies man. I don't wanna hang around no boy dogs! If you would like to meet me & think we could be a good fit

Smart, friendly, and full of spirit! We call her the welcome committee because she is always ready to introduce herself and play with a new friend. Stormy is a very active girl that will need an active family to keep up with her. She loves everyone she meets. She is housebroken, crate trained and has been through a professional board and training session. She frequents doggy daycare and is adored by everyone. Daycare even crowned her dog of the month within the first couple weeks she started. Stormy will need a yard and another fur friend to keep her busy. Stormy is great with kids, men, women and even cats however her current home has a cat that plays with dogs so a cat that is comfortable around dogs or no cats is preferred. Meet your new best friend today!
