Story
Meet Sophie! 2 year old Husky mix, spay female, 51lbs Meet Tuppi ❤️ Bully mix, born 3/20/23, spay female, 34lbs Since we have now had the chance to get to know Sophie, I can share what we have learned about her so far! She is a 2-3yr old Siberian Husky, we believe purebred, but we cannot be sure so we listed her as a mix. She is house and crate trained and knows a few extra things, such as, sit, shake and speak. She gets along with all the dogs in her foster home, they range from 6lbs – 75lbs. She isn’t what I would consider a submissive girl, she likes for everyone to follow her rules. A quick reminder that she isn’t the boss usually brings her back down to reality. She is your typical vocal husky, so make sure you are prepared for all the talking she will surely be doing. She also l.o.v.e.s car rides, she doesn’t care where you are going, she just wants to go along. She likes to be with her people and will make a fuss if she isn’t included in your activities. Sophie is one fun dog to be around, I know her family will soon see that as well! Sophie is current on vaccinations, heart worm tested, microchipped, and spay. We are accepting applications at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SHPA/Dog

Story
Meet Avi! He is the true meaning of rescue. Avi used to live with an abusive owner, until we changed his path! He has come so far, and has been clicker trained, but is still healing and will need a patient adopter who is willing to continue his training. He is about 9 years old and weighs around 55 lbs. He loves everyone he meets, but is not good with children or cats, and doesn't understand why they move so fast. He is slow to trust, but very playful and affectionate once he knows he is safe. Avi will jump a fence that is smaller than 6 ft tall, and will need long daily walks. He currently lives with and loves his boxer bulldog mix foster brother, but knows he is the pretty one! A home with another playful husky or other dog similar in size would be ideal! HUSKY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. CANNOT BE PLACED WITH CHILDREN OR CATS. If you want to be a part of Avi's recovery and future, and are willing to invest in long term training, apply for him today! His adoption fee is $25. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LOUC/Dog All of our animals come spayed or neutered, fully up to date on vaccinations, including rabies (if age appropriate) and Bordetella, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Chevelle is the sweetest baby . We don’t know how she would do with kids under 5 or so or ill mannered kids with dogs . Chevelle loves car rides and walks well on a leash . . Chevelle is 3 years old and very spoiled. Only rehoming because neighbors say she killed her chicken and they are going to shoot to kill if they see her on their property again . She plays to rough for small dogs like 10 lb or smaller . Chevelle is a house fur baby . She would need a fenced in yard or she will wonder off and apparently get into trouble. Chevelle thinks she is a small girl of 5 lb . we are will to do a 2 hour drive to meet with her .

About Gianna: Gender: Female Age: 2 Yrs Weight: 41 lbs Breed: Husky/German Shepherd (GSD) Spayed: Yes Vaccinated: Yes Microchipped: Yes Adoption Fee:  $250.00 (plus tax)   Dogs: Gianna loves to play with other dogs and we would love to place her in a home with another dog who is close to her size.    Cats: Gianna sees cats as squeaky toys, so she’s a no on cats.  does not do well with cats.   Kids: Gianna She has done great with older children (12+).  The quick movements of younger kids are a little overwhelming for her.    Crate Trained: Yes, she’s great about going in her crate when needs to be in it.    Housebroken: Yes, and she will go to the door to let you know she would like to go out.   Leash Manners: Gianna is easy to walk and she would LOVE to have a hiking partner.     Training: Gianna knows sit, down, come and crate reliably. She’s treat motivated and eager to learn.     Home Recommendation: Gianna would do best in an active home. Gianna has a typical German Shepherd temperament with regards to new people…a little cautious.   At home however she is sweet, spunky and full of energy.  She loves her people with her whole heart and is completely devoted to them.    She loves to play fetch, will be your constant companion and will love you like no other dog has!   Gianna is absolutely amazing and will make a wonderful addition to her forever home.    If you’re interested in meeting this amazing pup, please fill out an application at www.pawprintsnky.com. Her listing will be removed as soon as he has an approved application Most importantly, please be honest!  We have many people tell us what they think we want to read, not what's truthful.  If there are discrepancies, your application will be denied.  It's important for us to place dogs in a home that's suitable.  You may be a stellar owner but possibly not a good fit for the dog you were first interested in adopting.  We're not trying to offend anyone, we're trying to set everyone up for success.    We're a best fit rescue and will verify your vet and personal references.  July 19, 2024, 12:13 am
