Story
Meet Sebastian. Sebastian is an adorable 3-month-old, nine-pound Lab/Husky mix, (heavy on the mix). Sebastian, along with his sisters, Arial, Alana and Ursula make up the Little Mermaid Litter. For a litter of young puppies, they are very calm and well behaved, seldom nipping. They like to play, explore, wrestle and snuggle with each other and their foster mom. They make it known when they want something, but overall are not very vocal. They use puppy pads reliably in the pen, and travel well in a car. Based on their parents, they are likely to be medium sized dogs when fully grown. They are beautiful little puppies who love everyone. Sebastian is the only one in the litter that is only black and white, with no brown. He has beautiful black shiny hair with white on his chin and chest and tipped on all four paws. Sebastian is the definition of chill. He’s low key and sometimes a little hesitant, but really likes to sit with his foster mom. He’s just too cool to let people know. He holds his own against his sisters, and is not apposed to a bout of tug-of-war. But he clearly likes to nap on foster mom’s lap the best. Sebastian has puppy energy now, but is likely to be a medium energy dog when full grown. He is very sweet and loving, not to mention amazingly handsome. Like all puppies, he will need to be taught boundaries, but he is very cooperative. If you think you have the right home for Sebastian, to give him the love and time that he deserves, please apply today. Sebastian would be a wonderful addition to most families. He is fostered in the Cincinnati area. His adoption fee is $400.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Meet Avi! He is the true meaning of rescue. Avi used to live with an abusive owner, until we changed his path! He has come so far, and has been clicker trained, but is still healing and will need a patient adopter who is willing to continue his training. He is about 10 years old and weighs around 55 lbs. He loves everyone he meets, but is not good with children or cats, and doesn't understand why they move so fast. He is slow to trust, but very playful and affectionate once he knows he is safe. Avi will jump a fence that is smaller than 6 ft tall, and will need long daily walks. He currently lives with and loves his boxer bulldog mix foster brother, but knows he is the pretty one! A home with another playful husky or other dog similar in size would be ideal! HUSKY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. CANNOT BE PLACED WITH CHILDREN OR CATS. If you want to be a part of Avi's recovery and future, and are willing to invest in long term training, apply for him today! His adoption fee is $25. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LOUC/Dog All of our animals come spayed or neutered, fully up to date on vaccinations, including rabies (if age appropriate) and Bordetella, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. Story
Truffle is a 3-month-old, 9-lb Lab-Husky mix who LOVES to play, she is an active puppy and loves to play with her tug toys and her littermates. She is a cuddly puppy when she is tired and loves napping where the sun comes in the window. Some of her favorite things are her tug toys, squeaky toys, her littermates and cuddles. If you're looking for a new forever friend to be part of your family, Truffle would be the perfect puppy addition! Truffle is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati, OH area. Story
Meet Virginia and Maine! This bonded pair came to us looking like skeletons. It was truly painful to look at them and we can only imagine the hell they lived through. Despite that, they are the sweetest dogs you will ever meet. It literally brought tears to our eyes when they felt good enough to start to play. They are either siblings or mother and daughter and you never find one without the other. They are extremely bonded and they must be adopted together. They are quiet, sweet, affectionate, and great with dogs.  They LOVE to play with each other & love toys. They are extremely treat motivated & are extremely smart. They catch treats & will sit, stay & shake for a treat! They are good in their crates but their main goal in life is to be couch potatoes. They think they are lapdogs & feel fully comfortable sitting in your lap together. They also give excellent kisses! They love attention and prance around the house… tails going a mile a minute… every time you put Jammie’s on them! You’ve never seen anything so cute. If you’re looking for two older dogs who are very low-key and very easy, apply to adopt these girls today. They are part of our Senior Soulmates Program. If they are adopted by a senior citizen, a generous donor will sponsor her adoption fee.  All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.   February 14, 2026, 3:01 pm
