Meet Avi! He is the true meaning of rescue. Avi used to live with an abusive owner, until we changed his path! He has come so far, and has been clicker trained, but is still healing and will need a patient adopter who is willing to continue his training. He is about 10 years old and weighs around 55 lbs. He loves everyone he meets, but is not good with children or cats, and doesn't understand why they move so fast. He is slow to trust, but very playful and affectionate once he knows he is safe. Avi will jump a fence that is smaller than 6 ft tall, and will need long daily walks. He currently lives with and loves his boxer bulldog mix foster brother, but knows he is the pretty one! A home with another playful husky or other dog similar in size would be ideal! HUSKY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. CANNOT BE PLACED WITH CHILDREN OR CATS. Meet Virginia and Maine! This bonded pair came to us looking like skeletons. It was truly painful to look at them and we can only imagine the hell they lived through. Despite that, they are the sweetest dogs you will ever meet. It literally brought tears to our eyes when they felt good enough to start to play. They are either siblings or mother and daughter and you never find one without the other. They are extremely bonded and they must be adopted together. They are quiet, sweet, affectionate, and great with dogs. They LOVE to play with each other & love toys. They are extremely treat motivated & are extremely smart. They catch treats & will sit, stay & shake for a treat! They are good in their crates but their main goal in life is to be couch potatoes. They think they are lapdogs & feel fully comfortable sitting in your lap together. They also give excellent kisses!
