Story
Meet Avi! He is the true meaning of rescue. Avi used to live with an abusive owner, until we changed his path! He has come so far, and has been clicker trained, but is still healing and will need a patient adopter who is willing to continue his training. He is about 10 years old and weighs around 55 lbs. He loves everyone he meets, but is not good with children or cats, and doesn't understand why they move so fast. He is slow to trust, but very playful and affectionate once he knows he is safe. Avi will jump a fence that is smaller than 6 ft tall, and will need long daily walks. He currently lives with and loves his boxer bulldog mix foster brother, but knows he is the pretty one! A home with another playful husky or other dog similar in size would be ideal! HUSKY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. CANNOT BE PLACED WITH CHILDREN OR CATS. If you want to be a part of Avi's recovery and future, and are willing to invest in long term training, apply for him today! His adoption fee is $25. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LOUC/Dog All of our animals come spayed or neutered, fully up to date on vaccinations, including rabies (if age appropriate) and Bordetella, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Kayce is one gorgeous guy with a name that sounds tough, but underneath it all he’s basically a walking bundle of happy vibes. This handsome Husky looking guy has a friendly, affectionate personality and just the right amount of light Husky energy to keep life fun without turning the room into a snowstorm. He’s been easy to handle, enjoys meeting people, and is easing into playgroup at his own pace like a polite gentleman figuring out the party scene. Mostly, Kayce is ready to clock out of shelter life and get back to what he does best: handing out love, tail wags, and goofy smiles to his favorite humans. All adoptable pets are spayed/neutered (or scheduled), vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to go home today! No pre-application or appointment needed—just bring a valid ID and walk in. Our adoption fees are among the lowest in Cincinnati! To meet our animals, visit our Northside shelters any day from 1–6pm. If listed as foster, email foster@cincycare.org to schedule a meet and greet. Adopting an adult dog with resident dogs or kids at home? Bring them along to ensure it’s a perfect match. About Us: Cincinnati Animal CARE proudly serves Hamilton County’s humane society needs, dog warden, and animal control services. We help keep people and pets together and connect strays with future families.

Story
Meet Goody, a sweet Husky girl who lives up to her name in all the best ways. This young lady settles in beautifully, showing off her cuddly side and a love for staying close to her people once she feels at home. She enjoys the company of other dogs, was curious yet respectful with a cat, and happily carries her toys around like little treasures. With her love for the outdoors and her gentle, affectionate nature, Goody is simply good in every way. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This beauty is Sasha. Sasha was left behind at a hotel in San Antonio.  Her family had been a guest and decided to leave her behind when they left.  Lucky for her, the hotel called our vet and asked for help.  This beauty is very smart and active.  She  needs a family that is going to keep her busy.  This breed has to have a job to be happy.  Are you looking for a walking or running buddy?   Do you think you would like to enter working dog classes in your spare time?  If so, this is your girl. She needs an active  family to walk with, play with in the back yard, and run around chasing toys. Sasha is about 2 years old, 58 pounds and $300 to adopt. This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $250. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations. Please go to our website to complete an application at www.adoggie4you.orgVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 7, 2026, 1:30 pm
