Story
Looking for a new furry edition to your family? Meet Koda! He is a 2-3 year old male husky. My husband and I have been fostering Koda since January 24th and we've fallen in love with him. He is truly a huge love bug and people person and so well behaved. He greets everyone with kisses and is so gentle. He was found roaming the streets and taken to Cincinnati Animal Care. Some things about Koda: * He's never had any accidents * Does amazing in a crate * LOVES the snow and will stay outside for hours if you let him * He hops like a bunny when he's happy * Loves meat flavored treats * He's amazing and super sweet with everyone...but he LOVES men * He never howls or barks like a typical husky...only when he's in the cage and other dogs walk by him and he gets excited * Was neutered on Feb 6th and is up to date on shots Important to note about Koda is that he is food aggressive with other dogs. He would need to be kept separate for feeding time. He is NOT food aggressive with people at all. you can take his food or bone right out of his mouth and he does not care... just with other dogs. He does great playing with other dogs, absolutely loves our Saint Bernard and plays with her all the time! He'd do best with one other dog or no others so his food aggression could be better managed. He has not yet been around cats or children, but would most likely do better in a home without small children. Please reach out to his foster Sabrina at 513-900-0653 with any questions or to inquire about Koda!

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🌙 Meet Amira — The Adventurous Husky Princess Ready for Her Happily Ever After 🌙 (Female • Husky • ~2 Years • ~45 lbs) After raising her beautiful litter with patience, love, and the kind of calm wisdom only a good momma possesses, Amira is officially ready for her chapter — the one where she gets to be the star, the sidekick, the adventure buddy, and the center of someone’s world. At around 2 years old and approximately 45 pounds, Amira is the perfect blend of sweet, friendly, and athletic. She’s got that classic Husky sparkle in her eyes — the one that says, “I love you… but also, I might try to outsmart your fence.” Yes, she’s an escape artist. A graceful, strategic, probably-should-have-her-own-action-movie escape artist. Because of her athleticism and creativity, she’ll thrive in a home that chooses leash walks or adventure outings over backyard alone time. Hiking? Jogging? Exploring? She’s all in. Checking the mail? She’ll come too. Now that her mom duties are done, she wants to be included in all the family goings-on. Amira is wonderful with kids and other dogs, and she carries a calm, reassuring energy — the kind that makes you feel like everything’s a little better when she’s nearby. Cats are still an unknown, but with her affectionate nature, slow and proper introductions could set her up for success. She’s playful, sweet, and deeply loyal. After pouring her heart into caring for her pups, she’s ready to receive that same love back — long walks, warm snuggles, silly moments, and a home that treats her like the amira (princess) she truly is. 🌟 Amira’s Stats: - Female Husky - Around 2 years old - ~45 lbs - Friendly, playful, athletic - Great with kids & other dogs - Cats: unknown - Escape artist — best with leash walks & secure handling - Active, outdoorsy homes are her dream match If you're searching for a stunning, spirited, affectionate dog who will adore being part of your adventures — Amira is ready to step into the spotlight and finally live the good life she deserves. 👉 Apply today at haydudeequine.org — and let Amira be part of every sunrise, every stroll, and every happy moment ahead. 🐾💙

Story
Come meet me and hundreds of adoptable pets at Cincinnati's mega adoption event, My Furry Valentine! Saturday, February 21st and Sunday February 22nd at Spooky Nook Sports! Meet Sebastian. Sebastian is an adorable 2.5-month-old, nine-pound Lab/Husky mix, (heavy on the mix). Sebastian, along with his sisters, Arial, Alana and Ursula make up the Little Mermaid Litter. For a litter of young puppies, they are very calm and well behaved, seldom nipping. They like to play, explore, wrestle and snuggle with each other and their foster mom. They make it known when they want something, but overall are not very vocal. They use puppy pads reliably in the pen, and travel well in a car. Based on their parents, they are likely to be medium sized dogs when fully grown. They are beautiful little puppies who love everyone. Sebastian is the only one in the litter that is only black and white, with no brown. He has beautiful black shiny hair with white on his chin and chest and tipped on all four paws. Sebastian is the definition of chill. He’s low key and sometimes a little hesitant, but really likes to sit with his foster mom. He’s just too cool to let people know. He holds his own against his sisters, and is not apposed to a bout of tug-of-war. But he clearly likes to nap on foster mom’s lap the best. Sebastian has puppy energy now, but is likely to be a medium energy dog when full grown. He is very sweet and loving, not to mention amazingly handsome. Like all puppies, he will need to be taught boundaries, but he is very cooperative. If you think you have the right home for Sebastian, to give him the love and time that he deserves, please apply today. Sebastian would be a wonderful addition to most families. He is fostered in the Cincinnati area. His adoption fee is $400.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Meet Avi! He is the true meaning of rescue. Avi used to live with an abusive owner, until we changed his path! He has come so far, and has been clicker trained, but is still healing and will need a patient adopter who is willing to continue his training. He is about 10 years old and weighs around 55 lbs. He loves everyone he meets, but is not good with children or cats, and doesn't understand why they move so fast. He is slow to trust, but very playful and affectionate once he knows he is safe. Avi will jump a fence that is smaller than 6 ft tall, and will need long daily walks. He currently lives with and loves his boxer bulldog mix foster brother, but knows he is the pretty one! A home with another playful husky or other dog similar in size would be ideal! HUSKY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. CANNOT BE PLACED WITH CHILDREN OR CATS. If you want to be a part of Avi's recovery and future, and are willing to invest in long term training, apply for him today! His adoption fee is $25. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LOUC/Dog All of our animals come spayed or neutered, fully up to date on vaccinations, including rabies (if age appropriate) and Bordetella, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination.
