WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Galileo - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Looking for a lovable lug with a heart of gold and a goofy grin? Meet Galileo, a 2-year-old, 52-pound sweetheart who’s equal parts energetic hiking pal and easygoing sidekick. Galileo may have had a ruff start, but you’d never know it from his sweet, happy-go-lucky spirit. Pulled from a local shelter skinny and malnourished, this goofball is now thriving in his foster home and ready for his next chapter — a forever home full of love, treats, and adventure. Because of him being malnourished he does have some resource guarding with his food bowl and would be best fed separately. Galileo is well-behaved, affectionate, and full of playful energy. He’s great with people (even the tiny humans!) and enjoys the company of other dogs — though he does best with pups closer to his size. He’s currently living peacefully with cats and has an easygoing, adaptable nature that makes him a great fit for many types of homes. Whether you’re hitting the trails or kicking back at home, Galileo is your guy. His past may be behind him, but his future is looking bright — especially if it’s with you. Adopt Galileo – and help him write the happy ending he’s been waiting for and in the process, gain a big-hearted best friend in it for the long haul!. If you you're looking for an active companion to share your life, stop scrolling and fill out his adoption application. You can find it at haydudeequine.org

Story
Meet Avi! He is the true meaning of rescue. Avi used to live with an abusive owner, until we changed his path! He has come so far, and has been clicker trained, but is still healing and will need a patient adopter who is willing to continue his training. He is about 9 years old and weighs around 55 lbs. He loves everyone he meets, but is not good with children or cats, and doesn't understand why they move so fast. He is slow to trust, but very playful and affectionate once he knows he is safe. Avi will jump a fence that is smaller than 6 ft tall, and will need long daily walks. He currently lives with and loves his boxer bulldog mix foster brother, but knows he is the pretty one! A home with another playful husky or other dog similar in size would be ideal! HUSKY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. CANNOT BE PLACED WITH CHILDREN OR CATS. If you want to be a part of Avi's recovery and future, and are willing to invest in long term training, apply for him today! His adoption fee is $25. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LOUC/Dog All of our animals come spayed or neutered, fully up to date on vaccinations, including rabies (if age appropriate) and Bordetella, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Loki is a three year old Husky mix. He loves cuddles, playing with plastic bottles, running very fast, and watching you eat. He’s a very sweet boy when you get to know him. Due to getting attacked by two bigger dogs when he was a puppy Loki has to defend his home from anyone that walks past our place, a squirrel, and people walking their dogs. What i mean by that is he has to bark/talk at them. He listens to simple commands like sit, lay down, stop begging, cage, and no (husky’s choose when they want to listen to “no”) we love Loki but he has shown aggression to my wife and i when we discipline him for nipping our one year old son and hovering over him like he’s about to mount him. He has shown aggressive towards our oldest husky Coba. He tries to mount him and hovering over him as well. We don’t have the time or finances to get him fixed and train him properly. Loki can live in a home with other dogs but he will be very cautious at first. We just want him to have a good home

Story
Top of the mornin' to ya! It's me Mullen, the most pleasant lad you'll ever meet! You don't hear about many Irish Siberian Huskies now do ya? But, here I am! With my ginger-red coat I am the talk of the town, however, I can only be adopted in my town because I am kind of an anxious kind of fellow. I love other dogs and must be adopted with another calm/confident dog please. My new owners need to be patient and great at building confidence in me, as I never was loved on as a pup so I am still nervous with new people and in new situations. However, I am very smart and learn quickly!! Some basic information about Mullen; he is male, Siberian Husky mix, and expected to be medium-sized (20-59lbs). Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

Story
Blue the husky is obviously a looker! He’s probably a year old and 50# of hair, and LOVE!! He is crate trained, knows how to sit and recently learned to give hugs- must LOVE HUSKY HUGS!! He’s very dog friendly, likes cats a little too much and will chase or sometimes play too rough but he isn’t trying to hurt them, but for everyone' s sake he will go to a no kitty home. Blue had been roaming the neighborhood for months then eventually made a best friend named Benji= the ADORABLE terrier ;) After months of them visiting all the homes who poured cat food and water he started to let me pet him and that was because he would watch me with my foster at the time while we’d be out on walks. He had a rough time before being in the neighborhood, apparently in his first "home" he was yelled at all the time and so he is sensitive to new people as well as brooms and belts :( He’s still an affectionate dog the more I get to know him but of course he will require lots of patience as he begins to build his trust back with humans.Right now his favorite thing to do is play and be a part of pack. He enjoys all of the other dogs in the house. he even smiles at me from time to time. He’s also been known to let out a some decent howls when I’m arriving home from work, so if you love the WHOOWHOOWHOO of a husky boy, he is the ONE!! He needs a quieter home, no young children but older are fine. He needs patience and support as he builds up his confidence and trust. He has it in him!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Paloma is a beautiful girl just the right size to take anywhere with you. At 40# she is like a fun sized candy bar :) sweet and small but just as satisfying! Paloma is great with dogs and always ready to play, she came to us with three pups, saved from a neglectful home by a persistent neighbor. She is REALLY glad to be in the rescue, with all the love and fun and food and safety and FRIENDS she can get!! Paloma is leash & crate trained. She'll be the perfect addition to any family, she will keep a couple of kids busy and tired :D Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)
