Meet Junie! She is a very playful and loving pup! She enjoys a good playtime, but also loves to curl up on the couch to cuddle. She gets along with dog of any size, cats, and children. She does walk with a funny gait due to nerve damage in her shoulder from an injury living on the streets, but she’s still healing and it actually doesn’t slow her down at all! Meet Mystery! This 1 year old girl looks like a petite husky. She’s a little scrawny at 34 pounds, but she won’t be more than 45 filled out. Besides her striking looks, she’s an incredibly sweet and smart girl. She’s eager to learn and always ready for an adventure! She’s excellent with other dogs and has a fantastic overall demeanor. She enjoys snuggling up with you, too. She weighs about 35 pounds right now, but she’s pretty scrawny, so she’ll probably fill out another 15-20 pounds as she grows and gets regular meals. She’s really friendly, but a little on the cautious side when it comes to new things. She’s really sweet with kids and other dogs. To schedule a time to meet this dog, please email ARL-Adoption@arl-iowa.org.---- Derpy boy with a great personality who keeps his foster family laughing; always has a smile on his face! - Energetic and loves to play and be rowdy; would enjoy a big yard to run in and maybe another large active dog as a playmate - Loves belly rubs and likes being with you wherever you go - Foster family said he knows some basic commands and has been great with potty training during his time with them; just remember any dog may need time to get used to a new schedule - Loves his kennel when it's open but can be uncomfortable when the door is closed, so he may need some help with that - Lived with dogs and cats in his previous home, and his previous family said he may do best being fed separately from other dogs - May do best in a more mature home- Not a fan of loud noises, such as fireworks and thunder - Can be uncomfortable with some new people, particularly some men, so please plan on introducing new people at a pace he's comfortable with The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs.
