Blue the husky is obviously a looker! He’s probably a year old and 50# of hair, and LOVE!! He is crate trained, knows how to sit and recently learned to give hugs- must LOVE HUSKY HUGS!! He’s very dog friendly, likes cats a little too much and will chase or sometimes play too rough but he isn’t trying to hurt them, but for everyone' s sake he will go to a no kitty home. Blue had been roaming the neighborhood for months then eventually made a best friend named Benji= the ADORABLE terrier ;) After months of them visiting all the homes who poured cat food and water he started to let me pet him and that was because he would watch me with my foster at the time while we’d be out on walks. He had a rough time before being in the neighborhood, apparently in his first "home" he was yelled at all the time and so he is sensitive to new people as well as brooms and belts :( He’s still an affectionate dog the more I get to know him but of course he will require lots of patience as he begins to build his trust back with humans.Right now his favorite thing to do is play and be a part of pack. He enjoys all of the other dogs in the house. he even smiles at me from time to time. He’s also been known to let out a some decent howls when I’m arriving home from work, so if you love the WHOOWHOOWHOO of a husky boy, he is the ONE!! He needs a quieter home, no young children but older are fine. He needs patience and support as he builds up his confidence and trust. He has it in him!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

She listens well, knows commands, and truly wants to please her people. Ruby has already shown what an amazing dog she is by raising four puppies and doing a phenomenal job. She was a devoted, loving mom and has transitioned seamlessly into being a calm, affectionate companion. She loves people, does well with other dogs, and is a dream indoors. Ruby is fully house-trained, crate-trained (though she doesn’t need one), and has excellent house manners, no chewing or destructive behaviors. Outside, her playful Husky side shines. She loves to run, play, and show off her zoomies. Like most Huskies, Ruby thrives with regular exercise and mental stimulation. If bored, she may try to explore, so a secure yard and an active lifestyle are important. She has been around cats and will bark at them, but with time and guidance, this may improve. Princess is kind of a misleading name for me.... Cause I am a QUEEN!! I love all my "subjects" four legged and two legged :) i came from the pound, where I was kind of like a Cinderella princess..... I looked very "ruff".... my eyes were dull and scared and my fur was not white or floofy, like it is now! And boy was I SKINNY :( But NOT ANYMORE!! I am now the Princess I was meant to be! I have a glowing white floofy coat, I have the confidence and love to give out and receive... AND I am ready for you and your family to love FuREVER!! Hi, I'm the sweetest girl you will ever meet. My name is Mina and I am a 3.5 year old purebred Siberian Husky! Unfortunetly, my owners are no longer able to care for me and I am looking for a new place to call home. They say I am a very good girl and even went through obidence training. I'm a typical Husky girl- I love to play, talk to you all day, and explore wherever I can! I do fine with children but because of my size and breed, we reccommend older children. I'm house-trained, walk well on a leash, and get along well with other dogs. I'm currently in a foster home, so follow the steps below to meet me! If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt where you will also find a link to reserve me for an appointment. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and St. Louis areas twice monthly. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual. We will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports to Colorado and Iowa, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veterinarian ($35). For transports to St. Louis, the additional fee is $50 to help cover gas. Going that last mile home for our sweet pets! All of our pets are neutered or spayed, have vaccinations appropriate for their age, treated with flea/tick/heartworm prevention, dewormed and dogs are also microchipped. #adoptdontshop ##2741418##

With my ginger-red coat I am the talk of the town, however, I can only be adopted in my town because I am kind of an anxious kind of fellow. I love other dogs and must be adopted with another calm/confident dog please.
