Story
Top of the mornin' to ya! It's me Mullen, the most pleasant lad you'll ever meet! You don't hear about many Irish Siberian Huskies now do ya? But, here I am! With my ginger-red coat I am the talk of the town, however, I can only be adopted in my town because I am kind of an anxious kind of fellow. I love other dogs and must be adopted with another calm/confident dog please. My new owners need to be patient and great at building confidence in me, as I never was loved on as a pup so I am still nervous with new people and in new situations. However, I am very smart and learn quickly!! Some basic information about Mullen; he is male, Siberian Husky mix, and expected to be medium-sized (20-59lbs). Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

Hello there, I'm Ruben - no sandwich associations needed! While I may not be a tasty deli treat, I am quite the catch. Think of me as a unique blend, like a Husky with a twist! As a husky mix, I come with a beefy build, striking markings, and a personality that's as distinctive as the flavors in your favorite reuben sandwich. At heart, I'm a cool and energetic guy who's seen a lot in my young life. Now, I'm on a quest to find the perfect family to call my own. With an abundance of love and vitality, I'm a friendly fellow who gets along with just about everyone. I'm like the ideal side dish to complement your family's recipe for happiness. So, don't wait - place your order for a lifelong companion, and let's embark on this adventure together! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
You remember the 80's, the car named Kit?? Had David Hasselhoff as his driver and sure had a lot of fun and adventures :) I kind of LOOK like David Hasselhoff (if I do say so myself) and I am SMARTER than the car, Kit!! Again, if I do say so myself :D So, speaking of cars.... i was run over by one (or maybe it was a truck :( I don't remember, all I know is I ended up in a bad way and at the pound. Both my back legs broken and my hip was dislocated as well. That is how the rescue found me, my beautiful David Hasselhoff eyes pled through the sad photo and the rescue chick said, "uh, yes, lets save sweet boy". And that is how my life BEGAN again! I have had my hip surgery, called an FHO, and that was on my GOOD LEG!!! But as God would smile His favor on me, my other leg started HEALING WELL while I recovered from the surgery! Therefore I did not have to have my other leg amputated!! As a pup, the ability of my body to heal is amazing! So, here I am! Ready for adoption! I do have a hitch in my giddyup, but really nothing compared to how I was after the accident. I am a SURVIVOR!! His foster mom states, " Kit is an amazing pup, smart and determined! He taught himself the doggy door in one day, is good with the kitties, great with all other dogs and all people. He will be missed in his foster home, he has the determination of a tough pup and the sweet love of a spoiled pup :) Whoever adopts him will have a great companion!" AdOPT the BROKEN pups, THEY WILL LOVE YOU EVEN MORE!!! Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $500 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

*Introducing Simba, the Husky Prince!**Simba is not your average dog - he’s a young husky prince full of life and charm! With one blue eye and one brown, Simba’s unique look matches his unique personality.Simba loves nothing more than playing fetch and leaning against his favorite people for some love and attention. Despite his size, he’s good about not jumping up on you, though he’s always eager to learn new skills and tricks. One of Simba’s favorite pastimes is interacting with other dogs, from the tiniest to the largest. He’s fantastic with them all, making him a great companion for any furry friend. If you’re looking for a playful, loving, and incredibly unique dog, Simba might just be the one for you. Story
Meet Aspen, a stunning 3.5-month-old husky weighing about 18 pounds. Aspen is a delightful young pup full of curiosity and charm. She adores being around people and will happily follow you wherever you go, eager to be a part of the action. Aspen is a snuggler and loves nothing more than cuddling up close for some quality bonding time. Her sweet nature and fast learning ability make her a joy to be around.Aspen is already showing great progress with her training. She knows how to sit and is eager to learn more. She has been doing exceptionally well with crate training, making her transition into her new home much smoother. Aspen is also showing promising signs of being potty trained, as she indicates when she needs to go outside by sniffing around.Aspen would thrive in a loving home where she can receive plenty of attention and guidance as she continues to learn and grow. A family that enjoys spending time outdoors and can provide her with regular exercise and mental stimulation would be ideal. Aspen would also benefit from continued positive reinforcement training to help her become the best companion she can be.If you’re looking for a sweet, snuggly, and fast-learning puppy to join your family, Aspen could be the perfect match for you!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. Story
- Busy pup who loves to connect with people through play and other activities; will likely enjoy physical activity and mental challenges to keep their bodies and brains busy - Tends to be a linebacker-type player with other dogs, which some dogs may not appreciate; will likely do best with a select group of rough-and-tumble dog friends with a similar play style (dog intro recommended) - Young, noisy or busy children can be too much for them (mature home recommended) - Tends to be socially awkward with other dogs (dog intro recommended) - The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. Story
*hair blowing in the wind (even though she's indoors)* *unexplained sparkles in the air* *faint heavenly music* Yes, she is me. Chloe. Now that you are blinded by my beauty, let me explain why I am the absolute best girl on the inside too and so deserving of your (and everyone's) undivided adoration. I'm loyal, smart as a whip, and FUN, just to name a few. Unfortunately, I didn't come from the most glamorous beginnings. I was an outdoor doggy with not much interaction from birth and my family also left me behind when they moved. Thus, I wasn't really brought up interacting with you humans or being touched/handled. I've had my quirks while adjusting to being a family dog and will definitely need someone patient and understanding with me. (If you get too touchy right away, I don't like that and will try to protect myself.) However, if you are slow and gain my trust I will HANG on your every move. I have adjusted very quickly in the past with proper introductions to people. Even still, I would probably do best in a home without young children. I'm a lady after all and need time to sniff you out before you get grabby. I am an active girl and love to feel the wind in my hair outdoors too. I run with the speed of light and have a prey drive to sniff out bugs, lizards and more. I also love to play tug of war and fetch with my foster mommy inside. I bounce, bounce, bounce all the time! I am great on leash so walks and hikes would be great for me. Getting my energy out will help me focus on training too. I am very smart and learn quickly, but tend to lose interest if I'm still chock full of go, go, go!! With all of this perfection, all of your pet needs should be fulfilled, right? RIGHT? I hope so because I would do great as an only pet in the home. I have been able to co-exist with dogs at the rescue but I am a bit of a diva in my foster home. I have a domineering personality sometimes and will even mark like a male when I come across another dog's scent in my house. How dare they??? Existing? HERE? (She is otherwise house trained.) Considering that you and I know each other a little better now, you may pet me. Yes, I am very soft, I know. Please keep in mind that I am a Chow/shepherd mix and have hair that will require brushing, maybe even the occasional spa treatment, Swedish massage, 24k gold facials...yeahhhhhhhhhh.... Sorry! I forgot you were here. In all seriousness, once I trust you, I will allow you to brush me out without much fuss. It doesn't need to be daily but I am a rough and tumble kinda gal and can use help keeping my locks flowing and free. I also shed so if I seem to be losing my girlish figure, it's probably just extra hair that needs to be brushed off. I hope you have a strong vacuum. ;) I could go on for days about myself, but I'll stop here. Don't wanna overwhelm you. If you think you are up for the challenge of a total spitfire like me, please feel free to send in an application and foster mommy can tell you more about all of the grandeur that is...CHLOE. Haku means "pure" in Japanese! I was named for my pure, passionate and overwhelming love for everyone around me! I came to the rescue when my dad was stationed in Japan and heartbroken that he couldn't take me with him. I've missed him so much ever since! Everyday I do the things I did with him with other dogs so I can try and remember what it felt like to be with him! But it's just not the same. So, I'm hoping a new family can come scoop me up and show me what it feels like to be a part of a home and family again! I am good with other dogs, I love playing chase with them or tugging on chew toys. I'll need a happy and active home so that my life will be full of love and fun! I am a bit anxious and nervous around new people, and people in general! Slow introductions, a safe space I can retreat to like a crate and not forcing me into spaces with tons of people will help me be myself all the time! Haku can only be adopted in the local or TX area. Local adoption only, in San Antonio or TX area, $200.

Do you see my tongue?? I mean, it looks almost ELECTRIC blue!! That is how you know I am a real chow boy, well, that and my chow 'tude!! I know that so so many people love love my breed, and the rescue people are excited to find my forever family!!
