Story
- Prefers to explore and do their own thing here in the shelter, but will likely open up more once she's in a home environment and has had time to decompress - Loves toys and likes giving kisses- Does well on a leash - Recently went on a Dog's Day Out field trip: "Jade is such a sweetheart! She loved sniffing around and investigating and enjoyed the walk. She loved pets and belly rubs, enjoyed a brushing and had some cuddle time. She didn't play much with toys and didn't want any treats. She was mellow and sweet." - Has a history of being stressed by young, noisy or busy children, but has done OK with kids who are calm and polite (mature home recommended) - Has done well with like-minded dogs and may enjoy a dog friend in her new home - Has struggled with medical handling, specifically needles, and would benefit from a veterinarian who uses Fear Free techniques This pet qualifies for our 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program. If you're interested in fostering to adopt, please reach out to meetme@arl-iowa.org.The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 61 Age: 5yrs 0mths 4wks

Story
Ruby is a stunning Husky mix with a gentle soul and wonderful manners. This beautiful girl has the softest, sweetest presence and is an absolute joy to be around. She listens well, knows commands, and truly wants to please her people. Ruby has already shown what an amazing dog she is by raising four puppies and doing a phenomenal job. She was a devoted, loving mom and has transitioned seamlessly into being a calm, affectionate companion. She loves people, does well with other dogs, and is a dream indoors. Ruby is fully house-trained, crate-trained (though she doesn’t need one), and has excellent house manners, no chewing or destructive behaviors. Outside, her playful Husky side shines. She loves to run, play, and show off her zoomies. Like most Huskies, Ruby thrives with regular exercise and mental stimulation. If bored, she may try to explore, so a secure yard and an active lifestyle are important. She has been around cats and will bark at them, but with time and guidance, this may improve. Ruby would do best with an adopter who understands the Husky breed and is ready to give her the activity, structure, and love she deserves. In return, she will be a loyal, affectionate, and truly special companion. ✨ Ruby is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventions. 💛 Adoption Fee: $200 (Local – Texas) 🚐 Out-of-State Adoption Fee: $450 (includes transport) If you’re looking for a sweet, smart, and loving Husky mix to add to your family, Ruby just might be your perfect match. 💕🐶

Princess is kind of a misleading name for me.... Cause I am a QUEEN!! I love all my "subjects" four legged and two legged :) i came from the pound, where I was kind of like a Cinderella princess..... I looked very "ruff".... my eyes were dull and scared and my fur was not white or floofy, like it is now! And boy was I SKINNY :( But NOT ANYMORE!! I am now the Princess I was meant to be! I have a glowing white floofy coat, I have the confidence and love to give out and receive... AND I am ready for you and your family to love FuREVER!! I will give you and your family so much love and fun for life! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Flash is the definition of a Husky puppy—energetic, playful, curious, and always on the go! His adventurous spirit and endless enthusiasm keep life exciting and full of fun. Flash is great with other dogs, especially those who can match his energy and tolerate his bouncy, non-stop play style. However, he might not be the best match for senior or grumpy dogs, as they may find him overwhelming. Flash would thrive in an active, dog-savvy home where he can burn off his energy through outdoor adventures, games, and plenty of playtime. He LOVES KIDS!! He’ll benefit from consistent training to help him learn boundaries and good manners as he grows. Flash is ready to bring his vibrant personality, endless joy, and goofy antics to his forever family. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and entertaining companion who will keep you on your toes, Flash is your guy! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)
