Story
**Meet Buckley!** 🐾This sweet boy came to us in quite a state. He was spotted running around the county, scavenging for pig feed! When we brought him in, we discovered just how much he needed help. Buckley was missing almost all of his fur except for his adorable face, making it hard to tell what breed he is at first glance. Despite his rough start, Buckley is ready to turn over a new leaf! He was very uncomfortable and significantly underweight when he arrived, but with love and care, he’s starting to blossom. His gentle spirit shines through, and we know that with the right family, he’ll truly thrive. Buckley deserves a warm, loving home where he can feel safe and cherished. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’s seen tough times but is ready to love, Buckley is the perfect match! Come meet him and see his progress for yourself! 🐶💖🐶 Adopting a Dog from BAHS 🐶All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and heartworm tested before going home. Please keep in mind that we cannot guarantee how a dog will do with children, other dogs, or cats. If you already have a dog, we require a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone gets along. For everyone’s safety, your current dog must be spayed or neutered and up to date on vaccinations before you can be approved for adoption.

Story
Odyssey is a sweet, silly and super smart guy who’s ready to find his forever home! He’s a big fan of snacks, loves playing ball, and has a goofy, lovable personality that’s sure to win you over. This playful pup is also a bit of a people-watcher, he enjoys keeping tabs on staff and volunteers and being part of the action. He can be a little talkative (as Huskies tend to be!), so a home without shared walls and a physical fence would be best. We aren`t sure if Odyssey is house trained, but he does keep his kennel clean. Odyssey came from a hoarding situation, so we’re still learning how he feels about other dogs. Because of this, a meet and greet with all household members, furry and human, will be required before adoption.Odyssey is on-site at our rescue. If you`d like to meet him, you can stop by our rescue to meet him or fill out an application online. Information may change as we get to know Odyssey better.

Story
Journey is a sassy, smart and spirited Husky mix who’s still learning to trust the world around him. He’s got that classic Husky attitude - vocal, opinionated and a little mouthy - but underneath it all, he’s a sweet guy who just needs the right person to help him feel safe and loved.Journey came to us from a hoarding situation, so he`s still figuring out how to interact with people, and we haven`t had a chance to test his interactions with other dogs quite yet. We believe a slow introduction to all household members, furry and human, would be best for him. He is still pretty nervous of fast movements and loud noises so older children or no children in his future home, may be where he feels most comfortable. Because Journey is very vocal, a home without shared walls would be the best fit for him. He would still need to learn trust when being leashed, so he would also do best in a home with a fenced in yard. He is incredibly smart and treat-motivated, so treats are a fast way to his heart. After he trusts you, proper training won`t be too difficult. We aren`t quite sure if he is house trained, but he does keep his kennel clean! If you are interested in making him apart of your family, you can come and meet him in one of our playrooms or fill out an application online. Information on Journey may change as we get to know him better.

Story
My name is Rooooben (aka Ruben)! I'm a happy and howly Husky mix looking for a home for my golden years. I am an older boy but I still have a ton of life and LOVE in me. I am great with people of all ages and dogs of all sizes. I enjoy walks, romps around the yard and tug/fetch with my humans. I don't last long, due to my age, but that just means we can follow it up with snuggles! Snuggles, pets, and scratches are my favorite. I will give low awoooo's to tell you I'm ready to shower you with love (and LOTS of hair). While Huskies can be a challenging breed, I'm far past the puppy phase and am very well trained. I walk well on a leash, ride well in the car, and never go potty in the house. Unlike most Huskies, my crate is my happy place. Yep, I'm crate trained too! I'm a near perfect pup, ready and waiting for yoooouuuu! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Blue the husky is obviously a looker! He’s probably a year old and 50# of hair, and LOVE!! He is crate trained, knows how to sit and recently learned to give hugs- must LOVE HUSKY HUGS!! He’s very dog friendly, likes cats a little too much and will chase or sometimes play too rough but he isn’t trying to hurt them, but for everyone' s sake he will go to a no kitty home. Blue had been roaming the neighborhood for months then eventually made a best friend named Benji= the ADORABLE terrier ;) After months of them visiting all the homes who poured cat food and water he started to let me pet him and that was because he would watch me with my foster at the time while we’d be out on walks. He had a rough time before being in the neighborhood, apparently in his first "home" he was yelled at all the time and so he is sensitive to new people as well as brooms and belts :( He’s still an affectionate dog the more I get to know him but of course he will require lots of patience as he begins to build his trust back with humans.Right now his favorite thing to do is play and be a part of pack. He enjoys all of the other dogs in the house. he even smiles at me from time to time. He’s also been known to let out a some decent howls when I’m arriving home from work, so if you love the WHOOWHOOWHOO of a husky boy, he is the ONE!! He needs a quieter home, no young children but older are fine. He needs patience and support as he builds up his confidence and trust. He has it in him!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Ruby is a stunning Husky mix with a gentle soul and wonderful manners. This beautiful girl has the softest, sweetest presence and is an absolute joy to be around. She listens well, knows commands, and truly wants to please her people. Ruby has already shown what an amazing dog she is by raising four puppies and doing a phenomenal job. She was a devoted, loving mom and has transitioned seamlessly into being a calm, affectionate companion. She loves people, does well with other dogs, and is a dream indoors. Ruby is fully house-trained, crate-trained (though she doesn’t need one), and has excellent house manners, no chewing or destructive behaviors. Outside, her playful Husky side shines. She loves to run, play, and show off her zoomies. Like most Huskies, Ruby thrives with regular exercise and mental stimulation. If bored, she may try to explore, so a secure yard and an active lifestyle are important. She has been around cats and will bark at them, but with time and guidance, this may improve. Ruby would do best with an adopter who understands the Husky breed and is ready to give her the activity, structure, and love she deserves. In return, she will be a loyal, affectionate, and truly special companion. ✨ Ruby is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventions. 💛 Adoption Fee: $200 (Local – Texas) 🚐 Out-of-State Adoption Fee: $450 (includes transport) If you’re looking for a sweet, smart, and loving Husky mix to add to your family, Ruby just might be your perfect match. 💕🐶
