Good with kids, Good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Bluey came to me after he and his family were displaced from a house fire. Their living arrangements currently are not amendable for this active guy and they will be out of a home for at least a year. He did not come to me trained and was very nervous and anxious after all he's been through. We have been working with him daily to expend his energy and teach him the basics. Which he is learning very quickly! He's a lover boy, always wanting to be with his humans and cuddle close for kisses and belly rubs. He will thrive in an active home with no small animals. He could do well with a similar sized dog pal. He has been great with my 2 year old son. He would make the perfect hiking partner. He is quick, agile, and full of enthusiasm for life. His quirky cute personality will surely win your heart.

If you are interested in finding out more about Aspen, please fill out an adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BRO/Dog Clover is being fostered in Hopedale, MA. The adoption fee is $600. Like Broken Tail Rescue on Facebook!. Follow Broken Tail Rescue on Instagram! Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.

Story
Meet Sammy! She is an absolute saint of a dog and is ready for a new chapter in her life. Sammy arrived at WARL as a dog abandoned in Worcester. Her story began with uncertainty and questions. Sammy answered all of those questions and has shown us nothing but gentleness and resilience. Through medical challenges and big life changes, Sammy has remained soft, trusting, and quietly devoted to the people around her. She is the kind of companion whose presence alone brings a sense of calm.Ten Things We Love About Sammy:1. Lovey and demure with everyone she meets2. Exceptionally calm around other dogs — true grace3. Rides in the car like a dream, perfect travel companion4. A snow dog through and through5. Kids? Yes!6. Perfectly patient for baths and grooming7. Polite, easy leash manners8. Would shine at dog-friendly cafés and breweries if her new family enjoys those type of outings9. Her calm, sweet energy10. Her resilience through every medical challengeSammy does have a unique medical condition that can cause some incontinence, particularly in the evenings. Our team is happy to speak with potential adopters about management options, and we are open to creative housing situations to help accommodate her needs. What Sammy gives in return is immeasurable. WARL vet team provided Sammy with a surgery that will make her much more comfortable. If you are interested in adopting Sammy, please come to the shelter on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 12-4pm. If you have questions about her medical needs, or are unable to come during our walk in hours, email dogs@worcesterarl.org to see what other times may be available by appointment.

Story
Meet Mia!This energetic girl is full of enthusiasm who has such a lively spirit! It is always playtime for Mia; she can self-entertain herself but would rather have her favorite people play with her. Since she is a high-energy girl, she would do best in a home with teens and up. She has a similar aged playmate at the shelter who loves to play rough with her, so Mia may be able to go home with another playful pup. Because of her love of chase, we don`t think Mia should go home with cats. Mia is waiting for the perfect family to take her to her forever home!Mia is currently up to date on all of her vaccines, spayed, and micro-chipped. All adoptions start with a visit to our shelter!

Story
Meet Kora! This sweet lady is ready to find her forever family. At the shelter, Kora loves to go for walks. This girl comes alive when she`s outside exploring! Most of the time she likes to bring one of her stuffed toys along for the ride, which is super cute. Kora has met a few dog friends at the shelter, so she may be able to go home with a respectful canine housemate. We think Kora would do best with middle school aged kids and up and a family who can give her the active life she deserves!Kora`s adoption must be approved by our Director of Animal Care Services**Kora is up to date on all age appropriate vaccines, spayed/neutered and microchipped. All adoptions start with a visit to our shelter!**

Story
Meet Willow and Zoey! These two ladies lived together in their previous home and they find a lot of comfort with each other, so we think it`s very important to keep them together. While at the shelter, Willow and Zoey have lived up to their herding dog heritage-- they love being with their people, being active outside, and herding you if they don`t think you`re moving fast enough for their liking. Willow and Zoey lived with both a cat and another dog in their previous home, but we think they`d do best living as the only animals so they can settle into their new life more easily.Willow and Zoey are up to date on all age-appropriate vaccines, spayed and microchipped. All adoptions start with a visit to our shelter!
