Story
Monte is a sweet, 4 year old husky/cattle dog mix. He loves people, playing outside, going for walks, and snoozing next to you on the couch (and of course his favorite thing in the world, eating). Monte was adopted from the Northeast Animal Shelter when he was 4 months old. He was displaced from his original home in Texas, we believe as a result of the freezing which occurred in Texas during that time which caused many homes to flood. With a new baby on the way, we are unfortunately able to keep Monte. While he is a sweet boy, he does not like it when people take his food or toys away from him, and we are worried this may be an issue with a toddler. He does have an history of a bite incident which we believe was entirely preventable (someone tried to take his food away). We worked with a very reputable trainer who also supports that does not display any tendencies of an aggressive dog, and any behavior should be entirely manageable by an experienced dog owner.

Story
Luce is a young, handsome boy looking for a home to help him build his confidence. He can be a bit nervous in new situations and meeting new people, but once he warms up he is a big goofy boy. Luce seems to like other dogs and could do well with a well matched canine companion. This nervous nelly has been through a lot of transitions in a short period of time and is looking for a family dedicated to helping him learning about the world in a safe and fun away. If you think this dog could be a good match for your home and would like to learn more, stop by our Boston Adoption Center. We have open adoption hours Tuesday-Sunday from 12pm-3pm no appointment needed to speak to a staff person regarding available dogs. Preparing your home for your new dog or puppy ahead of time can help ease the transition for your new pet and set you both up for success should there be a dog thats a good match! To learn more about how to make the first few weeks with your new dog or puppy the most successful it can be, please visit www.mspca.org/petresources. For more information on our adoption process, please visit https://www.mspca.org/adoption-centers/how-to-adopt/ Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) theyre interested in - and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.

Story
Sky is a beautiful husky lady ready for her next adventure. She is curious and mischievous and in typical husky fashion she can get herself in a bit of trouble. Sky has a history of escaping from her yard and going on a little doggy rendezvous. Sky will make her own fun if it isn`t provided for her, so her family will need to help keep her brain and body active! She might be able to live with other pets with the right management.

She loves attention and wants to play with every human and dog that she encounters. Wrestling and playing chase are two of her favorite pastimes. She is a fast learner but needs to continue working on her puppy manners. Her optimal home would be an active household that would help her get the energy out daily. She loves walking (and meeting other dogs) and will walk as long as you will! Sugar is crate trained, but she will make herself heard for the first few minutes before settling down. She loves kids and is a great family dog! Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website. If you cannot find a particular dog on our website, he/she may be on a temporary foster hold. All dogs are otherwise posted until they are officially adopted. She would make a great companion for hiking and exploring, but also enjoys chilling on the couch after exercise. Cheesecake settles quickly in her crate with a toy or a bone. She is mostly house trained, but should get the hang of it with a regular routine. Cheesecake walks well on a leash. Could she be the pup for you? Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website. Story
Beautiful and sweet, purebred, husky, high energy, and loves to run/jog and runs well on a bike leash as well. This friendly guy was raised with small children and cats and loves belly rubs and is a super good cuddler. As long as he has tough chew toys, he knows what to chew on that belongs to him inside and he has open access to his crate & loves it. AKC registered and no known health issues, really sweet boy. He was raised with cats and loves them, but can get a bit territorial around small dogs— does just fine with high energy and friendly medium and large dogs. Sweet boy isn’t getting enough exercise due to his owner having knee surgery and being unable to jog and such as before. Looking for a loving family home for this good boy.
