Story
Bluey came to me after he and his family were displaced from a house fire. Their living arrangements currently are not amendable for this active guy and they will be out of a home for at least a year. He did not come to me trained and was very nervous and anxious after all he's been through. We have been working with him daily to expend his energy and teach him the basics. Which he is learning very quickly! He's a lover boy, always wanting to be with his humans and cuddle close for kisses and belly rubs. He will thrive in an active home with no small animals. He could do well with a similar sized dog pal. He has been great with my 2 year old son. He would make the perfect hiking partner. He is quick, agile, and full of enthusiasm for life. His quirky cute personality will surely win your heart.

If you are interested in finding out more about Aspen, please fill out an adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BRO/Dog Clover is being fostered in Hopedale, MA. The adoption fee is $600. Like Broken Tail Rescue on Facebook!. Follow Broken Tail Rescue on Instagram! Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.

Story
Meet Sammy! She is an absolute saint of a dog and is ready for a new chapter in her life. Sammy arrived at WARL as a dog abandoned in Worcester. Her story began with uncertainty and questions. Sammy answered all of those questions and has shown us nothing but gentleness and resilience. Through medical challenges and big life changes, Sammy has remained soft, trusting, and quietly devoted to the people around her. She is the kind of companion whose presence alone brings a sense of calm.Ten Things We Love About Sammy:1. Lovey and demure with everyone she meets2. Exceptionally calm around other dogs — true grace3. Rides in the car like a dream, perfect travel companion4. A snow dog through and through5. Kids? Yes!6. Perfectly patient for baths and grooming7. Polite, easy leash manners8. Would shine at dog-friendly cafés and breweries if her new family enjoys those type of outings9. Her calm, sweet energy10. Her resilience through every medical challengeSammy does have a unique medical condition that can cause some incontinence, particularly in the evenings. Our team is happy to speak with potential adopters about management options, and we are open to creative housing situations to help accommodate her needs. What Sammy gives in return is immeasurable. WARL vet team provided Sammy with a surgery that will make her much more comfortable. If you are interested in adopting Sammy, please come to the shelter on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 12-4pm. If you have questions about her medical needs, or are unable to come during our walk in hours, email dogs@worcesterarl.org to see what other times may be available by appointment.

Story
These two brothers unlocked an early Rescue memory of a dog I fell smitten with the first time down volunteering in Mississippi! Her name was Frankie. She came north soon after we met her, and she now is living a rescue dog’s dream with her forever family! The goal is and will be to do the same for these two brothers. Their eyes, ginger hair, and up ears are ridiculous in the cutest sense! SCAR and BROTHER are 7 months old, have playful puppy energy, and love treats and seem smart and eager to please! Scar has a scar on his head, and a slightly bent ear. In the video we saw of them (see comments) they took treats gently. They are dog friendly and are about 35 lbs! We are hoping to secure forever families or fosters the end of the month! A share, like, comment, will help spread the word of these boys! Story
Scar is a beautiful boy that was found wandering as a stray with his brother, "Brother". They are being fostered together, and we are told that they are sweet, still have some puppy energy, and are two friendly boys. They love treats and both seem like they'll be very food motivated, which could be a positive tool to use in training. We are told that both are good with other dogs, but bark at cats. Scar is looking for a forever home that will give him the grace, time, and patience needed to learn what life in a home is like. In return, you'll receive a lifetime of love and loyalty. Scar is about 37 lbs and 7 months old. He gets the name Scar from a Scar found on front of his head .
