Story
This gorgeous girl is so lucky to be alive! We were driving down a busy four lane highway when we spotted her run across the highway barely missing getting run down by a large box truck. She ran into the parking lot of a Dollar General so we immediately pulled into the parking lot and luckily she ran up to our van and jumped right in! We tried and tried to find her owner but to no avail. It's hard to see in the pics but she has one blue eye and one golden eye. We suspect she had a little Husky in her but we did a DNA anyway, lots and lots of breeds in her DNA, including 5% Chihuahua! She's a super mutt! Clarice is spayed, fully vaccinated, crate trained and microchipped. She is available for immediate transport PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE LOCATED IN TENNESSEE AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MEET OUR PETS PRIOR TO ADOPTION! ADOPTION FEE $600

Story
Parker Blue is a very good looking 3 years old Husky/Shepherd mix boy who is approximately 65 pounds and a fun dog to have in your life.  His owner recently died and sadly no one in the family wanted him and now they want him either gone or they will shoot him.  True fact.  He’s very friendly, walks on a lead, good with other dogs, but no cats, birds or rabbits, etc.  Parker Blue has never been around kids under 12 yrs old but was good with the older ones.  This poor boy was shown lots of attention and loved by his person who passed away.  Now he is outside and he used to live inside.  The family is impatient and truly will do harm in a permanent way if he is not gone soon. We can tell his feelings are hurt and he doesn’t understand why he’s on a tie-out and can no longer go in his home or see his dad. How awful that is.  We are pleading for Parker Blue to have a chance to love you and your family.  Critter Cavalry Rescue would greatly appreciate assistance with Parker Blue. Time is running out and he needs to find a temporary foster home or a forever home.   Can you help bring this boy to a safe place?  Please contact  ccrnewengland@gmail.com  if you can assist PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.May 3, 2024, 9:46 pm

Story
If you are looking for a very calm and beautiful dog, then Autumn is truly one to seriously consider for your lifestyle and family.  This girl is a Husky mix with the wonderful attributes of both Husky and a Lab it seems.  She is a young 2-3 year old  girl that is only 50 pounds and full of sweetness and an easy going personality.  This girl is in a small town, small shelter that has kennels that are 4X6” if that big.  She should be out of an environment like that, enjoying the freedom to roam a backyard or dog park and to be someone’s serious sidekick full of love and adoration for their owner.  This girl is a true treasure.  Can you consider helping at least get her out of the shelter?  If you want to foster to adopt then Critter Cavalry Rescue can support that as well.  We will have her fully vetted and ready for a new start in a foster or a forever home.  Friendly with all other dogs and adoring of people, this girl is not shy nor emotionally damaged.  Just abandoned sadly and found as a stray.  She doesn’t deserve to stay for months on end at this shelter.  Help Autumn get out of a shelter hell.  Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com  and please mention where you live when inquiring. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.May 3, 2024, 9:46 pm

Story
A-woooo from our fluffy friend Chance! This wonderful gentleman is a 2 year old neutered male red & white husky. Chance came to us a stray, so we don't know anything about his past, but what we do know is that he is one of the best huskies we have had the pleasure of knowing here at the shelter! He is a professional at sit, and is rather polite while he waits for leash up, as well as on his walks. However, those husky genes did not fully pass him, he does still get overly excited in some scenarios, and doesn't miss an opportunity to sing in the kennels when he thinks nobody is listening! He loves his daily walks, and also enjoys some attention when he has sniffed what he wanted. Chance tolerates brushing (we've been brushing him almost daily for a week and he's still blowing his coat!), but loves playtime! He is gentle with his toys, and likes stuffies the most. With what we have seen from Chance at the shelter, we think he would do best with dog-savvy teens+. He has been LOVING being part of our doggy playgroups, making us think he would enjoy another dog at home if you have one. He has a bouncy & slightly pushy playstyle, so your dog's personality would be important for us to determine if they would get along. We will not be placing Chance with cats or small animals. He would benefit from some training classes, so we are requiring an additional $50 training deposit from his future family that will be refunded if you show us a "graduation certificate" within 3 months of adoption. Have those blue eyes stolen your heart? Follow the steps below to come meet him!Our shelter is open every day from 12-4, closed on Mondays. If you are interested in this pet, please call us at 978-452-7781, email info@lowellhumanesociety.org, or stop by the shelter to request an adoption application.

Story
*Name: Harlequin *Age: 3.5 years old *Current Weight: 50lbs*Rescued from: Thailand*Adoption fee: $550 (includes $50 refundable positive training commitment deposit)*Health: Up to date on vaccines Harlequin was once a beloved furry family member, living on the island of Phuket. With her thick fur coat and unusual eyes - one amber and other blue - she is a striking girl. In November 2023 Harlequin's life changed in an instant. A local farmer noticed a car slow down on a road nearby, the door opened and someone dumped her before they drove away. Alone with a chronic skin condition that had caused her to lose a lot of her fur she was a sorry sight. The farmer called Soi Dog Foundation for help as she realized Harlequin eeded medical treatment for her skin. A rescue team collected her and brought her to the shelter for treatment and saftery. Since she arrived Harlequin has blossomed into a sweet, friendly, social dog. She loves exploring the world and says hello to everyone she meets. Being abandoned hasn't affected her love for people and she deserved to find a wonderful forever family that will love her for the rest of her life.  Harlequin arrives to the Northeast mid-April.  To apply to adopt, fill out an application at www.rescueallthedogs.org/adopt. Please note that RnR is a volunteer-based organization. While volunteers review applications as quickly as possible, it is helpful if you review the following information about our adoption process:LISTED BREED(S) & AGE: We are taking our best guess on age, breed, and size when fully grown, based on the dog's physical appearance and what we might have learned about one or both parents. We rarely know a dog's exact age or full breed mix of dogs, as our information is usually limited.RNR’s ADOPTION PROCESS: The first step in adopting or meeting one of our adoptable pups is to fill out an application at www.rescueallthedogs.org/adopt. Once we receive your application, one of our volunteers will contact you, review our adoption process, and answer any additional questions you may have. It is important to note that we do not go on a first-come-first-serve basis for adoptions but on the best fit for a family and, most importantly, the dog.MEETING ADOPTABLE DOGS: Meet and greets will not be scheduled until your adoption application is submitted and reviewed.APPLYING ONLINE: When completing an application, please do so from a computer (not a mobile device); make sure you answer ALL the questions in as much detail as possible and that you receive a confirmation email. ##2006324##

Meet Ruby! He is an energetic young puppy looking for his forever home. He is a little unsure around new people and will need a family to show him that the world isn't such a scary place. He is hoping his new family is middle-school-aged and older and can't wait to meet them. If he could be the one for you, come in and say hi today!
