Story
This handsome guy is Alexander, and he has been with the rescue since February because his previous owner had medical issues and could no longer care for him.  It is obvious that Alexander was loved as he is well mannered, but likes to jump to give hugs, but is leash and crate trained and does very well with other dogs and children. Alexander would be a good fit for anyone as he would do well on his own or with playmates in the home; could easily be trained to be a running or hiking partner, or just play with your family and go for long walks. Alexander is two years old, and we think he is a Shepherd and Husky mix, those eyes are very telling of his breed. Alexander has done so well at adoption events and would just like a family of his own If you are interested in adopting Alexander, please submit an inquiry directly with Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. ***Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to meet/pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt.***May 24, 2024, 11:56 am

Story
This 7 month old cutie is Cinnamon! Cinnamon is a Husky and Shepherd mix who currently weighs around 45 pounds, and while too young to say what her eventual size would be, we are guessing around 65 pounds. She loves to play with other dogs in her foster home (all males and submissive female). She loves toys. Cinnamon is a black and tan color, She loves to play with male dogs and female dogs that do not challenge her. She is crate or house trained. Story
Parker Blue is a very good looking 3 years old Husky/Shepherd mix boy who is approximately 65 pounds and a fun dog to have in your life.  His owner recently died and sadly no one in the family wanted him and now they want him either gone or they will shoot him.  True fact.  He’s very friendly, walks on a lead, good with other dogs, but no cats, birds or rabbits, etc.  Parker Blue has never been around kids under 12 yrs old but was good with the older ones.  This poor boy was shown lots of attention and loved by his person who passed away.  Now he is outside and he used to live inside.  The family is impatient and truly will do harm in a permanent way if he is not gone soon. We can tell his feelings are hurt and he doesn’t understand why he’s on a tie-out and can no longer go in his home or see his dad. How awful that is.  We are pleading for Parker Blue to have a chance to love you and your family.  Critter Cavalry Rescue would greatly appreciate assistance with Parker Blue. Time is running out and he needs to find a temporary foster home or a forever home.   Can you help bring this boy to a safe place?  Please contact  ccrnewengland@gmail.com  if you can assist PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.May 24, 2024, 12:04 am

Story
My name is Milo and I am a MIRACLE.   I was found as a stray back in January of 2024 and I was near death with starvation and abandonment during the frigid temps of January in Tennessee.  I had a wonderful foster mom named Brenda step up to take me in and feed me, and take care of my medical needs.  She and Critter Cavalry Rescue are now teaming up to get me a wonderful forever home.  I am good with other dogs and I am a charming kind of guy that is only about 2 years old and weighing 50 pounds.  I am a purebred boy but truly that doesn’t matter as much as the fact that I am a great dog.  I will require a fenced yard, a Husky savvy adopter and a house with that fenced yard.  I am NOT an apartment dog.  I talk too much and I need a few hours daily to hang out in a yard alone just to satisfy my Husky “Call of the Wild” nature.  I am pretty much housebroken and crate trained.   I am going to be tested with cats but I am good with nice dogs that don’t get in my face.  I will defend myself if there is a rude dog approaching.       I can walk on a leash pretty well and I am totally healthy and a happy boy.  I am told that I am a “heartbreaker” dog….. and I am ready to break some hearts soon!  If you are interested please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 24, 2024, 12:04 am
