Story
Meet Luna!  This beautiful 9-year-old, 45-pound Husky mix is Luna. She is a gentle, loving girl who truly enjoys being around her people and thrives on companionship—whether it’s relaxing at home or spending time together outdoors. Luna would do best as the only dog in the home, where she can soak up all the love and attention for herself. True to her Husky roots, she can be a bit of an escape artist, so extra care should be taken when opening doors or securing the yard. She is fully house-trained and crate-trained, making her an easy addition to the right home. She’s good on the leash and absolutely loves getting out for walks, where she can stretch her legs and take in the world around her. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who enjoys daily walks and being by your side, this sweet senior girl could be the perfect match for you! If you are interested in adopting Luna, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age. **Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. ** February 18, 2026, 2:17 pm

I’m Opal, a beautiful, fun-loving husky mix with joyful, playful energy.I’m a young girl – my estimated birth date is July 2024 – with a happy, affectionate personality. I came to the Humane Society of York County from York County Animal Services. I’m a medium-size girl and I get along well with other dogs. I adore playing in water! I love my daily walks and do great on leash. I’ve also started school at Zoom Room in Fort Mill, where I’m learning all of my basic doggy skills like sit, down and heel.I’m a sweet, gentle girl and I’m ready to find my forever home!If you wish to meet me, please call the Humane Society of York County at (803)-802-0902 to schedule an appointment. Please refer to our website for adoption requirements: https://humanesocietyofyorkcounty.org/adopt/adoption-process.htmlThank you for your support.

Story
Contact my foster at: tbatewell@foodbuy.comHer best home would be where there is another dog, the first couple of days she may be timid of new dogs coming to near her but once comfortable she will play with them nonstop. She is generally timid of humans, she has that cat mentality and will engage when she is ready. She is good on a leash. She is potty trained. She is crate trained.Left unattended she can get into mischief, chewing on items other than her toys (ie socks, shoes, etc). While on walks she shows no aggression to other dogs, she doesn’ t bark or act out, she’s curious but calm.Socially she is fine on walks however she doesn’ t allow people to pet herShe loves car rides and going for walks. She sleeps all night – stays on the bed with her foster parent and foster fur sibling .
