Story
I’m Opal, a beautiful, fun-loving husky mix with joyful, playful energy.I’m a young girl – my estimated birth date is July 2024 – with a happy, affectionate personality. I came to the Humane Society of York County from York County Animal Services. I’m a medium-size girl and I get along well with other dogs. I adore playing in water! I love my daily walks and do great on leash. I’ve also started school at Zoom Room in Fort Mill, where I’m learning all of my basic doggy skills like sit, down and heel.I’m a sweet, gentle girl and I’m ready to find my forever home!If you wish to meet me, please call the Humane Society of York County at (803)-802-0902 to schedule an appointment. Please refer to our website for adoption requirements: https://humanesocietyofyorkcounty.org/adopt/adoption-process.htmlThank you for your support.

Story
Meet Colsen, the charming three-year-old bundle of joy weighing in at 45 pounds of pure love! This handsome male is not just any ordinary dog. Colsen is a sweet and playful soul, always ready to brighten your day with his joyful spirit. While he adores his human companions and is friendly with other dogs, he does have a little quirk — he can be a bit protective over his food and toys, so it’s best to give him some space during mealtime. Think of him as a gentle greedy boy who needs a little guidance! This calm boy is still working on his leash manners, so if you’re looking for a furry friend to embark on training adventures together, Colsen is your guy! He’s not bothered by cats, which is a plus if you have feline friends at home. Ready to meet this sweet pup who’s waiting to fill your life with love and laughter? Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin! 🐾 Colsen is currently looking for a loving home where he can thrive with some training and guidance. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.

Story
Meet Sasha! Sasha is a stunning Siberian Husky/Great Pyrenees mix, born around November 17, 2024, with a gorgeous thick white coat and soulful eyes that instantly draw you in. At around 80lbs and fully-grown, she’s a strong, joyful, and playful girl who is full of life and ready to bring her energy and heart to the right home. Sasha thrives when she has structure, mental stimulation, and daily exercise. She loves her daily walks of 2–3 miles and would be happiest with a confident owner familiar with Husky and Great Pyrenees breeds who can provide routine, positive training, and opportunities to challenge her mind and body. She’s a smart girl who enjoys learning and showing off what she knows. This playful powerhouse loves to rough-and-tumble and would enjoy having another medium-to-large dog to keep up with her style of play—but she’ll also happily find her own fun if she’s kept engaged. She would do best in a home with older children who can respect her size and energy. Sasha will need a securely fenced yard where she can safely stretch her legs and enjoy time outdoors. Sasha is house and crate trained, friendly with dogs that match her play style, and thrives with an active lifestyle that matches her spirited personality. She’s looking for a home where she can continue to shine, play, and grow into the amazing dog she is—someone who can provide guidance, enrichment, and plenty of love. Sasha is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. If you think Sasha could be the perfect addition to your family, contact adopt@carolinapaws.com.

Story
Meet This Sweet Girl!  This beautiful 9-year-old 45 pound, Husky mix is Luna. She is a gentle, loving girl who truly enjoys being around people. She’s especially fond of kids and thrives on companionship—whether it’s relaxing at home or spending time together outdoors. She does well with other dogs, though she appreciates a slow and proper introduction to make new friends. True to her Husky roots, she can be a bit of an escape artist, so care should be taken when opening doors. She is fully house- trained and crate-trained, making her an easy addition to a home. One of her favorite activities is going for walks, where she gets to stretch her legs and enjoy the world around her. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who loves people and enjoys daily walks, this sweet senior girl could be the perfect match for your family.  If you are interested in adopting Luna, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age. **Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. ** January 18, 2026, 9:03 am
