Story
Dodger is an 8 year old Husky looking for a new home. He would do best in a home with a yard but he does well in apartment settings as long as he is walked daily. Dodger spends about 80% of his time laying around the house and the other 20% playing. He always loves pets. He has a pretty mild temperament is I would say for a husky he is not the most vocal. I got dodger from a rescue organization and they estimated him to be around four years of age in 2022. Before me he bounced around from home to home. He can get anxious but just being in the same room as him helps a lot. He takes shots at the vet well and has no known health issues. He does well with kids and other dogs. Cats are a big no for him, he thinks they are prey. He is good on leashed walks, he can pull sometimes, but he does not lunge at other animals while on leash. I have had a few incidents where unleashed dogs have tried to attack dodger, but he stayed calmly at my side and let me handle the situation.

Story
Meet Mambo! You know how a good mambo isn’t rushed, it’s all about timing, rhythm, and feeling things out first? That’s me. I’m not the guy who runs straight onto the dance floor. I’m the one watching from the side, getting the vibe, and then once I’m ready, I’ve got some pretty great moves! I’m a 6 year old husky mix with a soft heart and a thoughtful approach to life. New people can make me nervous at first, so I like to take my time getting to know you. But if you’re patient with me and let me come around on my own terms, I turn into a very sweet, affectionate guy who loves being close to his people. I’m talking cuddles, lounging, and just enjoying the comfort of being together. With other dogs, I’m kind of a “read the room” type. If another dog comes in calm and respectful, I’m happy to engage and hang out. If they come in hot and reactive, I’m going to politely decline that interaction. Energy matters to me. As for cats, well, I did spend some time in a foster home with bunnies, and let’s just say I was a little too interested in them. Because of that, a no-cat home is probably the best choice for me. For kids, I’d do best in a home with teens 15 and older who understand that I need space at first and can respect my boundaries while I get comfortable. I’m not difficult, I just appreciate people who let me settle in at my own pace. What you’ll find with me is a dog who may take time in the beginning but gives you something really special once that trust is there. I’m gentle, loyal, and deeply connected to my people, and I truly enjoy just being by your side. If you’re willing to go at my pace and let me open up, I’ll be right there with you, ready to share all the quiet moments and adventures life has to offer! My adoption fee is $295 and I'm neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Apply to meet Mambo today!

Helene means “shining light”. Helene, as adult husky/shepherd mix exemplifies this with humor & intelligence shining in her 2 different colored eyes. Helene loves to play with toys and other dogs. Her favorite toy, by far is a tennis ball. One might accurately call her obsessed . She will happily chase tennis balls, chew on them, “almost” bring them back to you, then dance away. Even split, goopy tennis balls are treasured until confiscated by her foster mom & thrown away. She will lick & nuzzle with stationary cats, but will chase them if they run. She is a wonderful cuddler, smiles a lot, & is oh, so happy. The more comfortable she is in her home, the more frequently the husky “talk” comes out! - Especially if it is smack talk disagreeing with not getting an additional treat. Helene would be great as a solo dog or as a companion dog to an existing “pack.” Can she be part of your family? Attributes: Tennis ball obsessed Cat safe with supervision Local adoption fee is $200(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Looking to Re-Home Two Siberian Husky mixes. Boo & Wazowski are brother and sister and have been together since birth. They’re just under 2 years old (born January 3rd) and are extremely bonded, so they must stay together. They’re great around adults, kids, and other dogs. They can be a little nervous at first, but they warm up quickly and are very sweet once comfortable. Both are in excellent health, fixed, and up-to-date on their shots. They have lived primarily outdoors, so they aren’t fully house trained yet, but they have been indoors for short periods and have never been destructive. They are crate trained. As northern breeds, they do have the typical traits: • Can be little escape artists (but have never actually run away) • Boo loves to dig • They’re great at hunting field mice and small rodents • Active, smart, and playful They’ve lived with five other dogs with no issues. We have to move closer to the city and can’t take them with us, so we’re looking for a loving, stab

Story
Meet King 👑 King is a stunning 8-year-old, 100 lb. purebred Akita who is ready to spend his golden years in a calm, loving home. True to his breed, King is stoic, deeply loyal, and beautifully balanced—independent yet affectionate in all the right ways. He enjoys peaceful walks, quiet moments, and soaking up love through ear scratches and gentle neck massages. King has a grounding presence about him—the kind of dog who doesn’t demand attention, but whose companionship means everything. King’s journey hasn’t been easy. He was found as a stray in Missouri before making his way to The Asher House Sanctuary, where he’s finally getting the care he deserves. He finished his treatment for heartworm and he's doing great! King is ready to receive the same love and loyalty that he gives so freely. While he may be entering his senior years, he still has plenty of life, heart, and companionship to offer. His soul is gentle, steady, and incredibly special. His ideal home would be a family with breed experience that has children over 10 and offers him a calm, stable environment. He would likely do well with most dogs with a proper introduction, and we don't recommend that he live with cats. King is more than just a beautiful dog—he’s a loyal companion waiting for someone who understands and appreciates the quiet depth of who he is. If you’re looking for a devoted best friend to share peaceful days and meaningful moments, King may be your perfect match. His adoption fee is $295 and he's neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Apply to meet King today! 🐾

Story
Hi, I’m Shelly, a 3 year old, 50 lb. Akita, American Pit Bull Terrier Mix and I'm a sweet and active girl with a big personality, a love for adventure, and a serious appreciation for attention from my humans. I may take a little time to settle into new situations and get fully comfortable, but I’m confident, social, and curious as I get to know my environment and the people in it. Once I’m in my groove, my affectionate side really shines. I love being with my people, getting attention, and sharing space with those I trust. I’m the kind of dog who enjoys being part of the action, whether that’s hanging out with you or heading out for a walk or adventure. I do well with other dogs as long as they respect my space and play style. I enjoy social time, but I also appreciate polite boundaries and calm interactions. I am not a match for homes with cats. I do resource guard around my food with people, so I need a home that understands structure and management during mealtimes. Because of this, I would do best with children 12 and up who can respect my space and understand that I need to be left alone when I am eating. Clear boundaries help me succeed and feel secure. What I’m really looking for is a home that matches my energy, appreciates my affectionate side, and understands that I do best with clear boundaries and consistency. I’m active, loving, and full-of-personality and am ready to share adventures, connection, and a whole lot of heart with the right family! My adoption fee is $295 and I'm spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Apply to meet me today!
