Story
Cash is a very energetic boy. He loves going outside, but must have a leash because he runs fast (lol). We have an allergy issue in the house (kids), so I'm trying my best. Cash would be best suited for someone who can devote time to him. He's a loving but rowdy boy (2 years old) and full of energy.

Story
Jack Jack was adopted from barcs rescue at 2 months old and has just turned a year old. He is a very active and playful dog, however he can be very reactive and tends to nip as well. He is not formally trained, therefore he needs a new home with a family/ person who is experienced with dogs who are reactive and nips. He also needs a home where he can be interacted with and able to let his energy out (he tends to be very cool calm and collected after an appropriate length play session/running session ). Overall, I really would love for him to be with a family or person who has genuine love for animals but are able to manage having a dog who can be reactive and nippy. With some training and some tlc, I believe Jack Jack could be a great addition.

Story
Current Location: Frederick, MD Personality: - Bella is a fun-loving, happy girl who loves attention! She loves playing with stuffy toys and chewing bones. - She enjoys playing with other dogs and was reported to be good with children while at the shelter. Special Considerations: - As a young dog, Bella has a fair bit of energy and curiosity! She has been pretty quiet, so with the right physical and mental enrichment she should do well in an apartment, townhome, or single-family home. - She’s still learning her manners and would benefit from some basic training—like understanding that toys and bones are for chewing, not hands. She’s eager to please and with a little guidance, she’ll catch on quickly! - Right now, she's carrying a few extra pounds and needs a healthy diet and regular exercise to help her feel her best. Training and Learning: - Bella enjoys being outside on walks, and is learning not to zig-zag on leash! She has been polite when passing other dogs and people on walks. - She has done very well in her crate both overnight and during the day - She is working on perfecting her potty training and appears to be making great progress. She is also working on basic commands such as "sit." Energy level: - Bella is a young dog who understandably needs an outlet for her energy! She would do best with both physical and mental stimulation. Once she gets that, she is happy to snooze on the couch with her family. Bella is looking for her forever home where a new family will cherish her fun personality and companionship.

Story
Meet Cooper – A Pint-Sized Powerhouse with a Heart of Gold! 1-Year-Old | Neutered Male | JRT/Chihuahua Mix Say hello to Cooper, a 1-year-old Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua mix (best guess!) who's bursting with personality, charm, and just the right amount of sass. Fully vetted and neutered, Cooper is ready to find a forever home that can keep up with his playful spirit and continue helping him grow into the amazing dog he’s already becoming. Why You’ll Love Cooper: Cooper is full of spunk and energy—always ready to play, go for a walk, or zoom around the yard. He’s smart as a whip, already knows “sit,” and is currently learning “shake.” His recall is impressive for a young dog, and he’s very responsive to redirection, even when he gets a little too bold (like thinking he can take on a train!). Social Skills: Cooper is being fostered with a mixed crew of dogs big and medium and fits in beautifully. He adapts well to different play styles and loves a good game of chase or wrestle. He does show some resource guarding, so care needs to be taken with high-value treats or toys— for example he can take treats nicely when they’re handed out evenly but may get snappy if one is dropped on the floor. With cats, Cooper’s learning curve has been encouraging. He will chase shy or fearful cats, but he’s showing positive engagement and curiosity with confident, social cats. With time, he’s learning to play more appropriately. He has never hurt a cat, he is simply learning that they are neither squirrels or more tiny dogs! Crate and Handling: Cooper came into foster care with clear signs of past mistreatment—especially around crates—but thanks to patient and positive training, he now goes into his crate calmly when offered treats and is building trust every day. Behavior: Like many small dogs, he can be snappy when startled or unsure but he has never bitten or broken skin. He thrives with structure, calm energy, and clear boundaries. He is learning house training skills as previously he was crated for significant parts of his day but is learning to ask to go out nicely. He walks well on a harness or leash and collar. Cooper may warm up to men slightly more slowly but has shown a positive response to each man he has met so far. When the day is done, he loves nothing more than a sleepy snuggle on the couch! Kids and Families: Cooper is currently fostered with a dog-savvy 6-year-old and does well in that environment. However, we recommend he go to a home with older children or kids who have previous experience with dogs and understand how to respect a dog’s space. As mentioned he’s not a fan of being grabbed or handled roughly. The Ideal Home for Cooper: Cooper will thrive in a home that’s active, dog-savvy, and patient. He’ll do great with another playful dog, a confident cat, or even as a solo pup with lots of human attention. He’s small but mighty, smart, funny, and totally devoted once he trusts you. He’s got a little attitude, a big heart, and a ton of love to give.
