Gidget is a sweet girl who loves to get her snuggle on! Her favorite places to sleep are in a lap or pressed up against her person. Gidget was adopted at 4 years old and recently returned due to the owners moving. She is reported to be good with cats and dogs. She is currently not fostered with cats. As most small dogs are, she is cautious when meeting new dogs on walks, but given time, she seems to relax. Gidget is past all of the annoying puppy behaviors. She is mature enough to listen and follow her people. She doesn't chew things and she loves to just hang out. If you think Gidget might be a good addition to your family, please apply! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :)When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application.The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :)Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us!Hi my name is Roxy! I was taken from a home that could only be entered by first putting on a respirator, and gloves along with my half-sisters Isabell & Smokey. Now Danny is an old dude and he could stay at the ranch HOWEVER Danny does not like other fur friends :( He said he wants a human all of his own and he doesn't want to share them!! Meet Homer! This senior boy came to us as a stray and is ready to find his forever home! Homer is a bit unsure at first and prefers head scratches and belly rubs over being picked up. This old man enjoys spending his days napping and lounging around. Homer loves to explore the outdoors, but he does need some basic leash training! While in our care Homer has not had any issues with the other dogs, and would be good in a home with respectful pals who have the same energy level as him. He doesn't seem to mind being around cats either. Homer needs a slow and patient home that is ready to show this sweet guy the good life!
