However, I am not a fan of strangers in my home or on walks, and I can be protective of my people. I prefer slow introductions and I'll be fine once I get to know you.      My ideal home would be a rural one with a fenced yard. I am well behaved in the house and crate trained.  I’m eager to please and I like to learn. Honestly, I just want someone to love full time and I hope that person is you.  Apply today and come meet me ASAP!Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. Story
Meet Jack-Jack 🐾 5-year-old | Male | Jack Russell Terrier Mix Hey there! My name is Jack-Jack, and I’m a friendly, sweet little guy with a thoughtful soul. I may be a Jack Russell mix, but don’t worry — I’m not the hyper type. I’m more of a calm, observant companion who likes to take life at a steady pace. I can be a little timid at first, but that’s just because I like to get to know you before diving in for cuddles. Once I trust you, you’ll see just how loving and loyal I am. I’m super smart, listen well, and always seem to know what’s going on around me — you could say I have excellent situational awareness! I do well with other dogs, am quiet and respectful in my crate, and would love a home that enjoys peaceful daily walks and easygoing days. I’m alert without being reactive, affectionate without being overwhelming, and calm without being boring. If you’re looking for a gentle, intelligent companion who will be by your side and in the know, Jack-Jack might be your perfect match. 💙 Hatton Animal Rescue spends significantly more on each dog than the adoption fee covers; please consider making a tax-deductible donation by visiting us at https://www.hattonanimalrescue.org/sponsor. Donations help us offset vetting, boarding costs, and additional medical treatments for dogs who need it. For more information on Hatton Animal Rescue, visit our website at: hattonanimalrescue.org.

Story
Sawyer came from a hoarding situation. He is a bit shy but with the help of our staff and a loving adopter he will make a great addition to any family. He needs to interact with people as he didn't get much interaction in the situation he was in. We are working on leash and potty training. He is 7 years old and fully vetted, heart worm negative and microchipped. He is in need of a loving family to love him so he can show them his love as well. Won't you please consider adding Sawyer as a new family member? He is being fostered in Tennessee, but we transport using the most animal friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport.
