This is Maryland. She is a 1-year-old Jack Russell mix. Maryland is great with other dogs and enjoys cuddling up with her person almost as much as she loves chasing squirrels. She would do best with an active owner or at least a multi dog household because she is high energy and needs an outlet. She is a bit shy around new people but warms up fast. She is potty and crate trained.apply today! All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. Miss Molli came from our local shelter. She is approximately 9 months old and still full of puppy spunk! She was adopted as a companion for my elderly parents, we have had multiple Jack Russel’s in the past but the energy level has taken a toll on my parents now with their age. Molli is the sweeties cuddle bug and loves to sleep cuddled up under the blankets. She is a firecracker for sure and loves to play fetch and is such a good girl and brings the ball back everytime. It breaks our hearts having to consider rehoming her but we know that she is not getting the best life possible and the time she needs to be happy and healthy. She will need some training she is very much a stubborn Jack Russel, but she will catch on. She needs a home that can help her channel all her energy and personality. Another dog for her to play with would be great too! She is such a sweetheart and deserves all the time and love in the world!

LET'S PLAY! Adorable DAVIS is ready for fun! He's a 3 year old 20 pound Jack Russell Terrier-type mixed breed boy looking for a home. Davis has a lively JRT personality. He loves to play ball and loves squeaky toys. We aren't sure about the rest of his breed mix -- maybe some Shih Tzu? He's got a longer body and sturdier build than a pure-bred JRT. His scruffy coat is wiry. Davis is dog friendly and respectful with dog-savvy cats but may chase a cat that runs. He's best suited to a home where he will get plenty of playtime. If you'd like to meet Davis, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Davis at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate, if he's still available. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period.
