Story
**Note: Ohoh is currently in Korea, but he will be flying to his forever home once adopted. Background Ohoh’s life hasn’t been easy. As a tiny puppy, he was found wandering in an apartment complex in Wanju, Korea. He was sent to a city pound, where he spent the next five years chained in a poor shelter with little comfort or care. This summer, Ohoh finally came to us and has been living at our boarding house, where he is safe and loved while waiting for his forever family. Personality & Socialization Ohoh is a gentle, sweet, and loyal boy with a calm, easygoing nature. He has medium energy—happy to go for walks and spend time with people, but also content to relax quietly by your side. He’s very friendly with people, both men and women, and loves being close to his humans. When he first came to us, Ohoh was nervous around other dogs, likely because he spent years chained and isolated. Over time, he has slowly started to make progress and found doggy friends he enjoys playing with. Ohoh is not a fan of dogs who are bossy, pushy, or loud, but he gets along well with gentle and friendly dogs. Behaviour Ohoh is well-behaved, obedient, and very smart. He bonds strongly with people and follows their lead easily. He rides calmly in the car, tolerates bath time, and is cooperative at the vet. He walks nicely on a leash, enjoys outdoor potty breaks, and is quiet indoors—we’ve rarely heard him bark. With a little training, Ohoh will blossom into a wonderful lifelong companion. Health & Diet Ohoh is neutered, microchipped, and fully up to date on his vaccines. He is dewormed and on monthly parasite prevention. When first rescued, he was treated for anaplasmosis, and he has since made a full recovery. He’s in good health and ready for his forever home. Ohoh eats dry kibble twice a day and has shown no allergies. Ideal Home Ohoh will thrive with a family looking for a calm, gentle, and loyal companion. He gets along well with other dogs who are gentle, quiet, and well-mannered, but he would also be very happy as the only dog in the home. A quiet, relaxed lifestyle where he can soak up love and attention from his humans would be perfect for him. Ohoh is an easygoing and affectionate boy who simply wants to be by your side. Whoever adopts him will be very lucky. -------------------------------- For more info about the dog or adoption application, please follow the link below. https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/ohoh/

**Note: Currently, Prince is in Korea, but he will fly to SF upon adoption. Background Prince is a sweet and gentle boy who was rescued this past summer from a city pound in Milyang. Since his rescue, he has been living with other dogs at our partner boarding house. Personality & Socialization Prince has a medium energy level and a warm, friendly nature. He is very social and enjoys meeting new people. Confident and affectionate, he settles in quickly and loves attention from everyone he meets. Prince also gets along very well with other dogs, especially those gentle and friendly. He is gentle, sweet and always polite. Behaviours Prince enjoys gentle playtime and quiet moments with his dog friends. He is easygoing and loves being around people. He takes his bathroom breaks outside but can also use indoor pads if needed. Prince rides well in the car and does great during bath time. He walks well on a leash. He does not show destructive behaviors and is calm and well mannered indoors. Health & Diet Prince is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. He is dewormed and receives monthly parasite prevention. He eats dry food twice daily, maintains a healthy weight, and has not shown any allergies. He is healthy and ready for his new life. Ideal Home Prince would thrive in a loving home where he is not left alone for long hours. He would do well with someone who works from home or is retired and can spend quality time with him. Prince is an easygoing, social dog and can be a wonderful choice for first time dog parents as well. He enjoys companionship, gentle activities, and a calm routine. Prince is a warmhearted boy ready to give his love to a family who will cherish him and offer him the safe, happy life he deserves. ---------------------------- For more info about the dog or the adoption application, please follow the link below. https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/prince-3/

Story
**Note: Lotto is currently in Korea, but he will fly to his destination upon adoption. Background Lotto was rescued from the streets of Suwon, Korea last fall. After spending a few peaceful months in a loving foster home, he moved to our boarding house, where he’s been living happily with other dogs ever since. Personality & Socialization Lotto is truly a gem. He’s gentle, friendly, and respectful to everyone—whether it’s dogs or people. With calm dogs, he’s polite and relaxed. With playful ones, he happily joins in for zoomies and a bit of friendly wrestling. He adjusts beautifully to the energy around him. When it comes to people, Lotto is just as charming. He’s quiet, obedient, and very smart. He reads the room well and knows how to settle when things are calm. Volunteers always adore him—he’s often their favorite. Behaviour Lotto is quiet indoors and rarely barks. He’s not destructive and knows how to rest peacefully when it’s time to relax. He prefers doing his business outside but will use indoor pads if needed. Lotto is a champ at the vet, during baths, and on car rides. He also walks nicely on a leash. In new places, he may feel a little unsure at first, but he looks to his trusted person for guidance and quickly finds his comfort. Health & Diet When Lotto was rescued, we noticed his left front leg looked slightly bent. A full veterinary check-up, including X-rays, revealed that his leg had been fractured in the past. It likely went untreated and healed on its own. The bone fused together a bit misaligned, creating a gentle curve in the leg. Thankfully, Lotto doesn't show any signs of pain or discomfort, and he moves around just fine — walking, running, and playing like any other happy dog. His condition is stable. It's just a reminder of what he’s been through — and how strong and resilient he truly is. Lotto is healthy, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all his vaccinations. He gets monthly parasite prevention and eats dry kibble twice a day. He hasn’t shown any signs of allergies. Ideal Home Lotto is easy to love and would do well in almost any home. That said, his ideal family would be someone who works from home, is retired, or has a flexible schedule—not someone who leaves their dog alone for long hours. He’d be thrilled to have another friendly dog to play with, but he’d also be happy with a human who has lots of time to give and enjoys the outdoors. If you're looking for a sweet, calm, and loyal companion, Lotto might just be your perfect match. ----------------------------- For more info about the dog, or the adoption application, please follow the link below. https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/lotto-2/

Story
story: Thank you for interested in adopting Buddy. Please know that Buddy is an international rescue. When your application is approved, you will need to pick him up from the airport - such as SFO, SEA, JFK, LAX, ONT, IAH, etc. International adoption is not a complicated process and we've done the process many years. We would be happy to explain to you how the process works. Buddy is not high in energy level and likes to take a slow walk, taking time to observe and sniff other things. When he was a puppy, he was small and weak and was bullied by his siblings. He gets nervous towards other dogs. He is not comfortable when the other dog tries to dominate and when the other dog has a young puppy energy so much that it can annoy others. However, once he becomes friendly with other dog, he gets along very well. He stayed in the shelter for a long time so he lacks socialization but he is gentle and careful once he decides to be a friend with the people and the dogs. Now, he is under socialization training. He has not met children yet but is generally calm and good with people. The foster believes buddy is calm and friendly with anyone and so can be with children. Buddy is nervous but stays calm in the crate. He behaves well when he is alone in home. He is under leash training. If he gets scared he just stops and refuses to move. When he gets scared during walks, he leans on the people next to him and depends on the person for protection. With something he has not eaten before, he doesn’t eat it right away. He rubs it on his body first. After he tries it one or two times, he doesn’t do it anymore. Lacking various experiences, he gets scared easily but is also good at overcoming them. If you’re interested in adopting Buddy, feel free to contact us for more info! Thank you.

Story
**About Koda:** Thank you for interested in adopting Koda. Please know that Koda is an international rescue through South Korea. When your application is approved, you will need to pick him up from the airport - such as SFO, SEA, JFK, LAX, IAH, etc. International adoption is not a complicated process and we‘ve done the process many years. We would be happy to explain to you how the process works. Personality: Koda is cheerful and energetic. He can be a bit competitive with dogs at a similar energy level but is gentle with older dogs. While he has built a strong bond with his foster, he can be wary of strangers. He should not be let off-leash as he avoids capture or close contact without it. He is generally cautious in new situations but shows resilience and adapts well over time. Koda does well with both children and adults. He may be nervous at first, but after 4–5 days he warms up and becomes affectionate. He has a tendency to chase stray cats, so living with cats may not be suitable. Car Rides: Travels well in the car without issues. Housebreaking: Prefers outdoor potty. Alone Time: May whine a little and bark at outside noises, but settles down. Leash & Walks: Currently in leash training. He may try to run after birds or small animals, so caution is needed. Coming from a street life, he is wary of cars and waits for them to pass even from a distance. - Koda is shy at first, but adapts quickly and shows strong affection once trust is built. - Shows some “one-person dog” tendencies, bonding closely with the foster. - Naturally energetic and active due to his young age, but he has good self-control. Koda is ready to find his forever loving home. If you’re interested in him, please feel free to reach out to us anytime!
