THANK YOU for finding us and interest in our rescued dog. Because Lucy is an international rescue through South Korea. You will have to meet your dog(s) and pick your dog(s) up from the airport. International airport for picking up dogs: 【SFO、SEA、IAH、YVR、YYZ、LAX/ONT、JFK.】 Apply here https://lifeofhopefoundation.org/adoption-application/ ------------------------------------ Rescue story: Lucy was among the 7 litters that were found in the middle of a large orange farm. The owner tied the mom in the farm and she had to get pregnant because she was not fixed and was tied in one place. The owner did not care to feed them or clean their place so the mother and the puppies had to eat rotten oranges. The mother dog was too starving to make milk but was breastfeeding the puppies. When the puppies were around 3 months old, we were able to rescue the mama dog and the puppies from the owner. Personality: Very good with all people and dogs. She is good with all people including men and female. She is not experienced with children and cats, however, she has not shown any aggression so far in any time. But with cats, we don’t know how she will react. Yet, she doesn’t show prey drive. She is energetic and active. She needs a good time of exercise. She is very playful and goofy. She is just lovable and so friendly. She is leash trained. She is under crate training but the foster has a fenced area inside where she can sleep during night. She is comfortable in that place. She can be petted everywhere. She doesn’t have much chewing behavior. She is healthy and has no issues. She doesn’t have any protective behavior against dogs and people. Story
Johnny Boy   - You would never know Johnny Boy is 13 when he gallops through the house first thing in the morning, ready for his walk!  A bit hard of hearing, he loves to explore and is happiest on the leash, sniffing his way through his neighborhood. Affectionate and curious. Energy Level?  Medium House trained?  Yes Describe how they are on leash?  Johnny loves going for walks. He is good with people but barks and lunges at other dogs when he sees them. Describe how they are with other dogs? He is very  good with his foster brother, Wrigley. They groom each other and often sleep in the same crate. Have they been around cats or other animals? How were they?  A bit too interested in the resident cat initially but now happily ignores him...for the most part. Commands they know?  Wait (before heading out the door for a walk) and crate. Johnny is hard of hearing, if not nearly entirely deaf, so visual or physical commands are needed (ie, a light tap on his butt). What are their favorite things?  Johnny loves to go for walks and enjoys curling up on his (or my) bed. He loves treats as well. What do they need to work on?  General commands...sit, stay. He needs to learn to walk more calmly on the leash when he sees another dog. How are they when left alone? How long have they been left alone?  I have left him at the house for up to 8 hours a few times a week. Not destructive and knows how to use the doggy door. He can be whiny if he hears I am in the next room, but he calms down when I leave the house. Where do they sleep?  Sleeps in his crate in my bedroom. What is their ideal home?  Johnny loves to go for walks...his ideal home would allow him the freedom to explore his neighborhood with a few walks every day. He can get a bit whiny initially if he is separated and knows you are still in the house. He loves to be near his person (he's not necessarily a lap dog, but he likes to be close). He would do well with other dog-friendly dogs.&#226&#128&#139 June 10, 2023, 12:25 am
