Meet Cheese   Name: Cheese Age: 1 year old (born August 2024) Sex: Spayed Female Breed: Jindo Mix Color: Ivory Weight: 10.4 kg (23 lbs) Height: 48.5 cm (19 in) at the shoulder   Rescue Story   Cheese was rescued from a municipal shelter in September 2024, where her future was uncertain. Since then, she has been learning that people can be kind and trustworthy.   ‍‍‍ Personality with People   Cheese can be a little shy when meeting new people, but food is the way to her heart! She will happily accept treats, warms up quickly, and allows gentle handling. Once she feels comfortable, she becomes affectionate and will approach her favorite people on her own.   She does not distinguish between men and women and tends to bond closely with people she knows and trusts. She has not been tested with children under 13 years old. She can be picked up by supporting her belly, and once she feels secure, she will even roll over to show her tummy.   Personality with Other Dogs   Cheese is polite and social with other dogs. She will greet unfamiliar dogs but generally prefers spending time with familiar canine friends rather than actively playing. She is more comfortable with dogs her size or smaller and can be intimidated by larger dogs.   She prefers calm, respectful companions and may feel overwhelmed by very high-energy dogs. If another dog behaves rudely, she may occasionally correct them, but overall she is a gentle dog who would rather avoid conflict than engage in it.   Cats   When she sees cats during walks, Cheese tends to stay focused on her handler rather than the cat. Formal cat testing can be arranged if needed.   Energy Level   Cheese has a moderate energy level. She enjoys outdoor adventures and walks, but once her exercise needs are met, she settles down nicely and relaxes indoors.   Walking & Training   Although naturally cautious, Cheese looks to her person for guidance and reassurance. She walks without major reactivity and becomes noticeably more relaxed and confident as her bond with her handler grows.   Other Notes   No food guarding with people or other dogs Rarely barks Calm and quiet in a crate Nervous about getting into the car and currently needs to be lifted in Uses both pee pads indoors and eliminates outdoors Gentle, thoughtful personality who thrives with patient guidance   Ideal Home   Cheese would do best with a family willing to give her a little time to settle in and build trust. In return, she offers a sweet, loyal companionship and a calm presence. She is the type of dog who forms meaningful bonds and truly blossoms once she feels safe and loved.   Could Cheese be the missing piece of your family? Story
Meet Lisa!   Name: Lisa Age: Approximately 3 years old Breed: Jindo/Hogu Mix Gender: Female (Spayed) Weight: 11.6 kg Height: 41 cm (at the shoulder)   Rescue Story   Lisa was found pregnant near a campground and brought into a municipal shelter, where she was rescued and given a second chance at life.   ‍ Social with People   Lisa is a gentle and sensitive girl who needs a little time to trust new people. She can be wary of strangers at first, but with patience and consistency, she typically warms up within a few days to a week.   She is uncomfortable with sudden movements, loud noises, and screaming from young children, so she would do best in a home with older, respectful children or adults only.   While she can be picked up by placing an arm under her belly, it’s not something she particularly enjoys. Once she feels safe, however, her sweet personality begins to shine.   Social with Other Dogs   Lisa generally enjoys the company of other dogs, especially calm and friendly ones. She tends to feel more secure and confident when another dog is present and would likely thrive in a home with a well-balanced canine companion.   Friendly with both larger and smaller dogs Prefers calmer dogs over high-energy playmates Especially likes larger male dogs at dog parks Politely greets friendly dogs and enjoys social interactions   Personality   Lisa is a fascinating combination of being very shy and very curious.   She loves exploring her surroundings when left alone and may occasionally carry favorite items around the house to a spot she considers safe and comfortable. Rather than viewing this as naughty behavior, her foster suggests seeing it as Lisa creating her own little comfort zone.   Inside the home, Lisa becomes noticeably more confident and relaxed. As her bond with her family grows, you’ll likely discover an adorable, playful side hidden beneath her timid exterior.   Very quiet and rarely barks No resource guarding with people or dogs Independent and comfortable being alone No separation anxiety Loves food and enrichment activities Enjoys nose-work toys and puzzles   Exercise & Training   Lisa has a relatively low energy level indoors and enjoys lounging peacefully around the house. She enjoys daily walks and outdoor adventures but settles down nicely afterward.   Loves sniffing and exploring scents more than walking quickly May stop frequently to investigate interesting smells Can pull on leash at times but generally follows her handler well If something scares her, she tends to freeze or flatten herself to the ground rather than react aggressively   Travel & House Manners   Quiet and calm in a kennel Jumps in and out of the car independently Primarily prefers outdoor potty habits Comfortable entertaining herself with toys and enrichment activities   A Special Note   Lisa absolutely loves sleeping close to her people. She prefers sharing a bed and happily accepts gentle affection while resting. She sleeps quietly through the night and enjoys the comfort of being near her trusted humans.   Ideal Home   Lisa would thrive in a calm, patient household that understands shy dogs and allows her to build confidence at her own pace. A home with another friendly, stable dog would be a wonderful bonus.   Behind her timid nature is a sweet, curious girl waiting to blossom into a devoted companion. Meet Kiss   Name: Kiss Age: 5 years old (estimated, born in 2021) Sex: Spayed Female Breed: Mixed Breed Color: Brown Weight: 21 kg   Rescue Story   Kiss was rescued from a municipal shelter where she was at risk of euthanasia. She is believed to have been born in 2021, entered the shelter system in 2022, and was rescued in 2023. Since then, she has been safely living at a shelter while waiting for her forever family.   ‍‍‍ Social with People   Kiss is a loving, outgoing girl who adores people. She happily approaches both familiar people and strangers, enjoys being petted, and will often lean in for affection.   She can be comfortably picked up and even rolls over to show her belly to people she has just met.   Although she has not been tested with children under 13, her gentle and friendly personality suggests she would likely do well with respectful kids.   Social with Other Dogs   Kiss is polite and easygoing around other dogs. She enjoys greeting unfamiliar dogs but isn’t particularly interested in rough play or high-energy wrestling matches.   If another dog challenges her, she prefers to walk away rather than engage.   While she’s not the life of the dog party, she gets along well with canine companions and shares space peacefully.   Cats   When she sees cats during walks, Kiss remains focused on her person and shows little interest in chasing them. ‍   Energy Level   Kiss has a moderate energy level. She enjoys walks and outdoor adventures, but after exercise she settles down nicely and relaxes quietly.   She’s a true scent enthusiast and prefers sniffing her way through the world rather than rushing from place to place.   Training & Manners   House-trained (primarily outdoor potty) Quiet and rarely barks Calm and comfortable in a crate/kennel Rides well in the car and can jump in and out independently No food guarding with people or dogs Easy to handle and cooperative Beginner-friendly temperament   Ideal Home   Kiss is a sweet, uncomplicated companion who would fit beautifully into many different households. Her affectionate personality, calm nature, and excellent manners make her an especially wonderful choice for first-time dog owners.   She may not be the dog leading the playgroup, but she is the kind of loyal companion who will happily join you on a sniffy walk, enjoy your company, and then curl up nearby for a cozy nap.   If you’re looking for an affectionate, easygoing best friend, Kiss may be your perfect match! Adopt Haetae   Name: Haetae Age: 4 months Sex: Male Neuter Status: Not yet Breed: Jindo Mix Color: Brindle Weight: 8 kg   Rescue Story   Haetae was born to a neglected mother dog and is now looking for a loving family where he can grow up safe, happy, and cherished.   Social with People   Haetae is a sweet and affectionate puppy who loves people. He happily approaches both familiar and unfamiliar individuals, enjoys being petted, and often leans in for attention. He can be picked up comfortably by placing an arm under his belly and is very trusting, even showing his belly to people he has just met.   He has not yet been tested with children under 13 years old, but his friendly and gentle nature suggests he has the potential to do well with respectful children.   Social with Other Dogs   Haetae is friendly toward other dogs and will approach unfamiliar dogs to say hello. While he enjoys social interactions, he is not particularly interested in playing with every dog he meets. If another dog behaves rudely or tries to provoke him, he prefers to avoid conflict and walk away.   Cats   His behavior around cats has not yet been observed.   Exercise & Energy Level   As a young puppy, Haetae has a relatively high energy level and benefits from regular physical activity and mental enrichment. Once he has had sufficient exercise and playtime, he settles down nicely and enjoys resting.   He walks well in quieter areas but can be nervous around busy roads with heavy traffic, as he is still gaining confidence and exposure to the world.   Home Life   Indoor pee pad trained and outdoor potty trained Does not guard food from people or other dogs Rarely barks Calm and quiet when placed in a kennel Nervous about getting into a car and currently needs to be lifted inside Curious and eager to explore new things May startle at loud noises, which is normal for a young puppy still building confidence   Personality   Haetae is a cheerful, affectionate puppy with a wonderful combination of curiosity and sweetness. Although he can be a little timid in unfamiliar situations, he is very people- and dog-friendly. His playful spirit, loving personality, and adorable charm make him the kind of puppy who quickly becomes the center of a family’s heart.   Haetae is looking for a family that will continue to help him build confidence, introduce him to new experiences at his own pace, and give him all the love he deserves. Story
Meet Hina   Name: Hina Age: 1 year Sex: Spayed Female Breed: Jindo Spitz Mix Color: Brown Weight: 13 kg (28.6 lbs) Height: 45 cm (17.7 in) at the shoulder   Rescue Story   Hina was born to a rural outdoor dog. In April 2025, her owner contacted rescuers asking them to take the puppies born to the mother dog, and Hina was rescued along with her siblings. She spent approximately four months at a boarding facility before moving into a foster home in August.   Hina adapted to her foster home within about a week, but it took closer to a month for her to become fully comfortable with body handling and being approached or caught by people. Her journey has shown that while she may be shy at first, she is capable of building strong bonds once trust is established.   ‍‍ Social with People   Hina is a gentle and somewhat shy girl who takes a little time to warm up to new people. She will readily accept treats from strangers and will even work up the courage to approach for treats herself. Physical affection takes longer—she generally prefers to get to know someone before allowing petting and handling, but she can become comfortable within about a week.   She has met children under 13 and was willing to take treats from them, though she did not actively approach them on her own.   Hina can be picked up by placing an arm under her belly, but she does not particularly enjoy being carried and dislikes being grabbed unexpectedly. Because she is naturally sensitive and somewhat timid, sudden noises or startling situations may cause her to retreat and seek a safe place. For this reason, she would do best with a calm, patient family that can help her continue building confidence at her own pace.   Once she trusts you, Hina becomes incredibly affectionate. She enjoys being petted, leans into her people, rubs against them, and happily seeks attention.   Social with Other Dogs   Hina generally gets along well with dogs that are similar in size, smaller than her, gentle, or socially appropriate. She tends to avoid large dogs that are overly enthusiastic or pushy when trying to initiate play.   When meeting new dogs, she is polite and typically limits interactions to sniffing and greetings. Once friendships develop, however, she becomes playful and enjoys interacting with her canine companions.   Cats   Hina lived with a cat in the same home for approximately three months. When she sees cats during walks, she may watch them with curiosity, but she follows her handler’s guidance and moves on without issue.   Energy Level   Hina has a moderate energy level. She enjoys outdoor activities and walks but settles down nicely and relaxes once her exercise needs have been met.   Walking   Hina is an experienced walker who follows her handler well and does not pull on leash. She enjoys exploring the outdoors while remaining attentive to her person.   Additional Information   Hina does not guard food from people. However, because she enjoys food, she may occasionally growl if another dog approaches her while she is eating. When treats are distributed by people, she patiently waits her turn and takes them politely.   She is generally a very quiet dog and rarely barks. Occasionally, she may give a few hesitant alert barks when encountering unfamiliar people.   One important thing to know about Hina is that she has historically shown anxiety whenever she transitions to a new environment. During her early days in foster care, she chewed on door frames while trying to get outside. When she later moved to a training facility, she initially attempted to climb out of her kennel and repeatedly scratched at doors in an effort to leave unfamiliar spaces.   Because of this, Hina’s adopter should plan to spend significant time helping her settle into her new home. It is important not to leave her alone immediately after adoption and instead focus on building trust, establishing routines, and helping her feel secure. Enrichment activities such as nose work, food puzzles, and interactive games can greatly support her adjustment and confidence.   Hina travels exceptionally well. She is calm in a crate, knows how to jump into and out of a vehicle on her own, and rides comfortably. While she currently prefers to eliminate outdoors, she has successfully used pee pads indoors when walks were not possible.   Ideal Home   Hina would thrive in a patient, understanding home that appreciates the rewarding process of helping a shy dog blossom. She may not be the dog who immediately jumps into a stranger’s lap, but for the person willing to earn her trust, she becomes a deeply affectionate and loyal companion.
